It is not really a mistake. It just wasn't clarified in the drama. When Old Moon Supreme's spirit asked how long he's been at bottom of the Oblivion River, it was Orchid who responded 30,000 years. I don’t think she actually knows the exact time. DFQC did not correct her estimation and he doesn't give explanations. He was a teen when he killed his father and crowned MS. He was clearly an adult at the battlefield against Chidi Woman. We only know that DFQC is over 30,000 years old since he was locked up for 30,000 years.

Yea…they were selling him as the ML until it premiered. Someone explained earlier that he is a “specially invited lead role" meaning a prominent actor with a status got invited for a second/third lead role or actually supporting role but they want to give the actor some face.
They changed the drama name to “Youth in the Flames of War”. With name change this usually means it is waiting to be aired. The episodes are cut down to 39 from 40. It is rumored to release on March 15th. It will probably be on Jiangsu TV and Youku.
Can’t wait to see Dylan and Zhou Ye, they look like a cute pair.
Guys, this is not LBFD part 2. I believe Si Ming’s story happened at least 500 years or more before Orchid met DFQC. Please correct me. Also, Dylan and Esther are guest stars, they will likely have just a few scenes.
ETA: However, I believe Si Ming (God of Fate) used her pen (or brush) to draw the events and details for Orchid and DFQC to meet and fall in love because she wanted to rewrite Orchid’s tragic fate. She chose DFQC because she knew he is capable to save/protect her (and is good boyfriend material). CH was too young (compared to DFQC), bound by his duty, and under the thumb of his brother. He even threw her under the bus to appease him. He is not as capable of saving Orchid. The dude is clueless his bff of thousand years is a killing machine. Even the flower spirit at Arbitor Hall hinted at him Orchid is in danger, “no one is here to burn down the green house….do you want to look around for her?” Of course he doesn’t. For this, Si Ming had to strike CH off as a deserving boyfriend and give Orchid’s destiny book to DFQC.

Well, Dylan is a guest star only. Guessing there is probably just a few scenes where he is a threat to the fairy realm. Si Ming’s story is before orchid and DFQC’ story. Don’t know if they will follow the book.
