Ep. 15 is a favorite too. I laughed from beginning to end. Tianran’s sad face on his birthday and then fantasizing Sissi 🥺“go away”. Then the slap! 🤣 The gang’s subtle gestures are the most touching! 🥂I laughed so hard when our white horse prince barf in his takeout bag. 🤣 All the episodes are touching with a warm smile or laugh!
The ML is travelling incognito, so of course his outfit cannot be too flashy. I kind of like the dishevelled hair...…
Yea I was thinking that too. But the few scenes of him at his home was still the same? I’m not familiar with this actor or what is his style. His shapeshift is also low-key. I guess without much CGI (not that I want more) they will risk him looking a Halloween wolf. The styling for him is just not for me I guess. Everyone else looks great.
I've only watched 7 episodes and there's so much going on--it's good. I like crime mystery and the story is pretty interesting. I’m pleasantly surprised there’s a good balance of funny, romance, investigation, cool fight scenes, and even magic powers. It’s very well directed and going at a good pace. It’s my first time watching this ML, his acting is OK.. I just wish they styled the ML better--his disheveled hair is bothering me LOL. I think some of his outfits look a bit shabby for his status (the grey outfit is his best outfit so far). I’m definitely loving LYT in this and her godfather.
She was a child during the war 30,000 yrs ago. Her memory was erased and she was disguised as an orchid plant…
No I wasn’t talking about the last few episodes, I was talking about her journey. Every important character had growth. She may appear naive and silly at first, but don’t let that fool you. You can see from the get-go, she is not afraid to confront her bullies, “remember my name, I will defeat you all.” She does not hesitate to come to the rescue of other people, with no thought of her own safety. She put herself at risk to save CH. She saved an unknown plant spirit at Haishi. She sacrificed herself as bait for the beast to save her bullies—the goddess is in her vein! She broke the rules of her Master by to harboring a sinful immortal (she sees the best in everyone). She knows the severity of her crime and can die if she’s caught. She was crucified for hiding him. Still, she won’t reveal anything about him. (There’s the answer for yah DFQC. No matter who he is, she won’t betray him.) She was determined to save DFQC on the emotional level. She risked her life to find his father at the Forgotten River. She saved Xunfeng’s life from execution twice. She was determined not to let others misunderstand him for killing another family member. She fought off the evil qi and slit her wrist to save him (even though she is afraid of pain). The way she "EARNED" the respect of the Moon tribe that she can be their Moon Queen. This is her public confession for DFQC, “Moon Queen's honour is my fight to win.” She proposed to DFQC to let him know he is her chosen one. She understands love now and this love is what gives her the willpower to accept her tragic fate, her ultimate sacrifice.
Is it only for me that the love between orchid and dongfang is strange, because if you think about it, the orchid…
She was a child during the war 30,000 yrs ago. Her memory was erased and she was disguised as an orchid plant for thousands of years before she transformed to a fairy. She had her childlike innocence in the beginning, but after DFQC took her to Cangyan Sea, where their difficult and heavy journey together begins, her character transitions and develops into a strong, determined, and brave individual. Also, Orchid staying with the lonely DFQC means the world to him. The story demonstrates how true love has no boundaries and that nothing can go against fate except for love.
The genre is wuxia and the tag is xianxia. Can both be combined together? I thought wuxia is based on historical…
It’s mainly Xianxia (fantasy) with gods, demons, and magic, but the Wuxia part is grounded in the mortal (human) world. I think this just means they will also have scenes in the mortal world, such as to experience life hardship.
LMAO at the quirky scenes with Dylan scaling the windows and the earthquick chair! 😂 All of his facial expressions are so cute. He is kind, sweet, naive, and soooo rich! 🤑😍
It would have been a real shame if they cast Yang Mi because then I would refuse to watch it. IMO she is wildly…
Agree, she is just alright. I am not a fan of her dramas (could never finish them). She does have a larger fan base to bring in more traffic. She is already in Fox Spirit Matchmaker, which I am planning to watch. So I think I will need a break from her, haha!
Also, I feel the LBFD characters are now iconic. I just can’t imagine someone else to play Si Ming besides LYT.
Xianxia = Gods, demons, magic, supernatural powers
Sometimes drama tags both genre when scenes takes place in both worlds.
