Yea most likely they are taking the low-key route. They can’t conceal everything when they shoot outdoor scenes. It’s raining today and Didi is shooting outdoor, said to be near a cliff. 🥺 Everyone is waiting for the leaks.

They haven’t specified when the official announcement will be made. It’s speculated May 15 Mango Investment conference. However I have also heard this producer not making official announcement until end of filming in the past.

I’ve been speaking highly of this production team on here and on other websites, but the growing list of concerns are making me second guessing if it’s really just clumsiness or inexperience. 😄 Anyway, I hope they are upright and won’t cause DD and fans a lot of headaches.

Nah, the smear campaign really stems from the time he was rumored ML for GOTD (leak came from the director himself). It’s said a group spent 200 million rmb to blacken him. This is not his typical haters or fans from other artists. Some people can’t stand their artists did not get this role especially to someone like DD with no background or capital. DD’s projects are very tight lip nowadays. Despite the smear campaign and no marketing, GOTD is a massive hit.

To clarify, Dylan’s diss tracks have nothing to do w/ DYX. His songs were written in 2023 and already started recording in early 2024. The business CP between DYX & EY only popular from Nov 2024 (yes they have a script for CP frying). He has talked about it in interviews, the ‘attitude’ that has accompanied him since he entered c-ent (includes YSX toxic fans), but especially the haters that blamed him for Miss The Dragon and he was massacred by the entire C-net. He was too good-hearted to pass the drama's mess (covid times) to anybody else, so he took on all the blame and apologized.

This drama has one sole lead, Dylan, as Dylan’s name is first. So there is no FL. MDL will update when the official announcement is made.

She is listed as special guest (invited) lead. Basically she has a supporting role. If based on the book, all other main supporting characters are equal, because there is no CP.

The photographers and fandoms of the other actors posted the ceremony and the actors were all trending. But the sole ML DD did not have his solo trending search, because his fans were unsure to post about it or not since they got the gag order. Maybe they want someone else to headline. The incorrect ranking list + no official announcement at ceremony …maybe all this just comes down to too many ‘stakeholders’ in the decision making.

Dafeng was great except the lack of marketing & promotion. The fans found out they didn’t hire a single marketing company and Dafeng did not get the Xinli S+ level promotion they are known for. Meanwhile DD was heavily blackened and shadowed banned. Basically it’s like DD moved into the mansion and found that there is no furniture. 😄

She wasn’t listed in the cast. She was at the script reading. The rumor that she lost the role is true after all.

Yes the rankings of the casts are wrong. The male lead should be on a separate line, and the special guests, not considered as part of the ranking, should all be placed after the main cast. It seems that this drama has more tricks than Dafeng.

It was also odd that they put a gag order on DD’s fans to not release pictures from the ceremony but the papz are allowed. It suppressed DD making headlines.

I thought the same too if CW and WD are not in main male support roles and if they still have not finalized those roles… this is giving bad vibes.

If WD is really assassin Lin Feiyuan than it’s probably just guest role.,🥲the production has been giving shady vibe especially with the recent gag order to stop DD fans from posting about the ceremony.

From what I recall, it was the executive producer, Liu Wen Yang, pretty much hand-selected some of the main cast based on the actors previous works. He contacted them for the role directly. It’s said that they struggled to find someone fit to play XQA until he saw DD in LBFAD. The casting was not influenced by capital. LWY also produced New Life Begins which many actors from that show smoothly packed into GOTD. The director himself leaked the cast for ML and FL 6 months before they started filming. There were no other cast leaks.

I don’t think Dylan is playing against type (he is not typecast) and he is actually very suitable to play SQJ. There’s a character fit summary uploaded to the gallery.

I saw that Caesar Wu may have gotten another role that has not been mentioned before, so WD is still likely either Wei or Ziye. Could it because RZS taking ML 2 when WD is a more prominent actor in ML3? The title uses ‘special’ guest (invited) usually has to do with status. It’s usually not a minor / guest role. It would be such a waste of WD in a minor role!! 😄

Right, sect ranking doesn’t correlate with age. I read that Wei looks up to SQJ and Wei is described as “Green tea wolf dog” which sounds like he is aggressive..assume it’s because he is young. It seems they have love/hate relationship🥲, so better he plays Ziye.

He was not the ML but because he is of same (or higher) position actor in a ‘supporting’ role, they give face to the actor with a special title. He had fewer scenes but more scenes than a typical ‘guest role (minor role).” Basically she is not FL and won’t have many scenes.

There’s so many titles. Could “special guest” possibly mean for prominent actors w/ a status that got 2nd lead role or supporting role? Maybe they want to give the actor some face.
It is said that Li Qin has another drama that will start filming in September, so her scenes will be finished within 3 months. Every day cannot be wasted.
