LL&P team should feel very lucky they were selected by Didi. The producer is also using LL&P to achieve the combination of culture and tourism influence so maybe this team has higher standards than that greedy OFL team. 😄 I hope they won’t jeopardize the quality or script. I heard there’s already mixed reviews on the scriptwriter’s past works.
I personally don’t mind a little bit of romance in a M-centric drama, but I think book fans are requesting the production team not modify the original work to cater to the market (no CP may limit the audience) or to big agencies pushing their artists down our throat. Word on the street is that her team had a history of "adding scenes.” This actress is now rumored to guest star. 🤷♀️I heard she is still filming another project in March at least. I am not sure. I wish they would confirm the casting already.
His projects are typically kept confidential until he is about to enter the group. Hopefully we get some info or announcement soon and put these rumors to rest.
Although LL&P isn’t a big IP, I think Didi is inspired or feels connected to the character and the story. From what I’ve read the character suits Wang Hedi very well. He is very passionate, courageous, listens to the voice of his heart, do what he wants to do, and say what he wants to say. He is someone that is true to himself. He will also play a double role because there is a previous life and this life. He previous life can possibly considered a bad person, this satisfy his itch to play a villain. 😄 There are many characters so it will be interesting how it will be adapted in the drama.
I saw online the producers planned a long time for this. They built a Xianxia district in Shanghai and a Xianxia town and film base in Guizhou Province during the development of LL&P. I am expecting a high quality production and see real scenes and cool landscapes 🏞️ because the production company's goal is not just to shoot an assembly line fairy tale drama, but to radiate a wider cultural influence . Do you know how amazing it is to have a 40-episode drama in this market? In the current market, 40 episodes are generally not available. It is expensive and laborious. Many dramas flopped last year because ad revenue are not good and this year it’s bad too. Many projects have been interrupted and shortened.
12 episodes of Wang Hedi is not enough. This drama is rumored for 40 episodes. 😊
It seems many dramas since last year and this yr are not attracting advertising income and flopped. Youku might be focusing on quality instead of quantity. I am not sure, but I thought it was only their originals and doesn’t apply to IP adaptations.
I loved the trailer 🥰🥰😍! The director is awesome and has been successful with many movies. I hope this…
Yes hope he gets more movie opportunities. Wang Hedi’s face is really suitable for watching on the big screen. He always dares to break through his comfort zone and this movie seems to have everything. It is an exciting start to his career as a movie star. 💜 I hope the film will be on big screens internationally this year. Can’t wait!!!!!
According to Kuyun data, GOTD surpassed 50m+ views per episode. Yunhe has been heavily criticized and boycotted for purposely understating GOTD's views. On Feb 8, Tencent and their advertisers locked the final 10 eps for VIPs only, the second highest amount of locked eps in Tencent history. GOTD's average views will decrease as less people will be able to watch it. But it also proves that the platform has a lot of faith that GOTD will draw many new paying viewers. As a result, it’s now estimated Yunhe around 46 million instead of 50 million during the hot broadcast period.
(As of Feb 15) Yunhe’s data: 45.65 million views per episode.
Kuyun’s data: Average On-Demand views per episode is 50.27 million 🎉 Average views per episode across All Platforms (TV and website-based) is 56.88 million
