I think Fluke, Gun, and Earth (UWMA) are out too, but not necessarily 'proud', per se as opposed to Max and Tul, who are straight, but are constantly doing things in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Tul just shared something on Transgender Day of Visibility on IG.
Have you ever watched a BL and thought "Wow, I'm really invested in the heterosexual side couple"? No? Neither had I, but I have in this series. I really, REALLY like strong effeminate male rules juxtaposed gruff effeminate female roles. It's not something that happens often and it's a tricky formula to get down pat, but when it happens, it's beautiful. As of episode 6, this is just as much Nubsib/Gene's show as it is Tum/Tiffy's.
In general I liked this drama because the length allowed for lots of conflicts and growth etc., but I felt like by the end we were just watching Noh and Phun flop around when we could have got some solid closure for the three other couples. Well, two couples and a love triangle. We got to see them all develop feelings for each other and have conflicts with each other, but we don't get the satisfaction of actually seeing them pull it all together? It's not like there wasn't enough time. After 36 episodes, did we really need a cliffhangers?
Other than that, this was cute and very fitting for the time it was made.

I agree, but at the same time, I didn't dislike Nite #1 and the muted dynamic they had either. It's just like we're dealing with two different storylines, which is totally OK. In retrospect, I would have just liked if Nite #1 would have disappeared around episode 5 instead of 8 (or 9?...forgot which exactly) so that we could have gotten more of Nite #2 and sexy smile and eyebrows. haha

I'm split about this one. On one hand, basically nothing happens for the first nine episodes aside from one major conflict that the characters act like adults about and resolve decently. However, what little does happen is cute and nice. Slow, uneventful, but nevertheless cute and nice. Then on the other hand, during the last three episodes, we basically get a wholly different, ever so slightly faster-paced show that is categorically better than the first nine episodes.
Instinctually, I feel like I should judge the series as a whole, but at the same time, it's very rare that I see a BL series go so slow for 3/4 of it, then suddenly redeem itself and so well too. It seems like COVID may have had something to do with those last three episodes being filmed the way that they were, but even if that's the case, other shows that were similarly affected didn't end up so well and needed to be 'forgiven' (Why R U?), whereas this one was very resilient.
I don't think I'd ever recommend this show to anyone as I don't know what I could truly say to make it worth sticking around for those first nine episodes other than my own honesty which is: I had nothing else better to do every Tuesday and was curious. Still, however, I would absolutely love a mini-series follow-up or even just an extra long special episode (post-COVID lockdowns) that ties up the loose ends I'll mention in the spoiler below.

I think ITSAY is better in pretty much all those qualities except for story. Neither the premise nor how it unfolded was groundbreaking imo. I don't think anything happened that most people wouldn't have expected, but the cinematography more than made of for this.
I also would put this closer to SOTUS, but this is better than SOTUS imo because: 1) I don't like Arthit and 2) This isn't bogged down by other stories that don't involve the main characters like SOTUS (particularly season 1) was.

I pretty much agree, but with ITSAY2. I'm somewhat convinced that because ITSAY was as good as it was, the sequel can't match it. Not that sequels ever really do, but if just one small thing is even remotely subpar about ITSAY2, I feel like everyone's going to notice and everyone's going to complain (excessively) about it.
