I also get frustrated with Miyu. I don't think she's fit for a management role. Until now she doesn't know how…
I think it was very bad to get blackout drunk but also understand how super upset she was: there's the pressure of the book event, the lobby girl's mutiny that made the guest speaker take off, her sister showing up and causing a scene, influencer girl trying to stake a claim for the man she loves. That's a lot for one day.
Tan Jr. could have helped to contain that. There's no way Ji Feng would have just sat there and watched her get so wasted and would have given her one of his famous pep talks. Tan Jr. has no game; can't wait till he's gone.
I’m so glad that Miyu stood up to her sister and clarified that she is no longer a stepping stone and an ATM…
I was so glad, too, that she held her ground with that awful sister and also read the riot act to Xiaoyan. I think that she knows that if not for her, that girl, who has actually paid her dues in the lobby, would have gotten the manager's position and was trying to be sensitive to that, but the girl went too far. Her stupid attempted coup also will miserably fail.
I bet Ji Feng was so shocked during that face off with Miyu. Loved how she threw the influencer in his face! And who does he think he's kidding with threats to demote her?
Please, have patience, my MDL friends!I think Miyu likes to learn the lay of the land before she gets tough with…
Unfortunately she will still be on our screens on Sunday, but hopefully that will be the last of her. Miyu participates in a livestream with her about an event the hotel wants to host for families with children taking the Gaokao. Of course, our girl shines and influencer girl, who thought she would control the conversation, is taken aback. In the trailer, she also asks both Miyu and Ji Feng to dinner, probably hoping to rub in her connection to JF who only has love eyes for Miyu and she tries to play that game the rival in Perfect and Casual pulled with the whole, oh, I know him better than you and he can't eat that, and of course he's, like, I can and am happy to have an allergic reaction for the sake of the woman I love, let's get what Miyu wants, lol. Hopefully that will send her on her way.
I think Miyu likes to learn the lay of the land before she gets tough with her asshole employees and is sensitive to the fact that there is understandably some resentment because she is flying up the ladder at rapid speed and her backer is the GM. Has she been at that hotel for even six months? Maybe eight because the vixen's spawn hasn't been born yet. Plus, she's seriously busy.
BUT, once that lobby girl's bitchiness affected business, Miyu lashed into her and is holding strong. In one of the trailers lobby girl seems to have a whole new attitude and even does something helpful. Miyu also did not hesitate to shut her evil half-sister down. I thought it was interesting how she looks so hard and unattractive. Isn't she supposed to be the younger one whose the child of both parents? She looks ten years older!
Tan Jr. is a snake for letting Miyu get blackout drunk, and so weird for that. Yes, she's an adult and clearly wanted to drink, but she was also upset and very emotional so he should have vigorously discouraged that or pumped coffee into her before going back to the hotel. He looked so pathetic when she was passed out on the table. I think Ji Feng is going to make him feel really bad about that and deservedly so.
I did love the analogy Miyu used to describe how she has fallen for Ji Feng but influencer girl may have the advantage. Ji Feng annoyed me on that stage because when she said they were once in love, he should have said that they were now just good friends. He is too much of a gentleman and that is not helping his case with Miyu, who thinks he perhaps likes the influencer. And poor thing stayed up all night drinking the tea she gave him.
I, too, wish they would move this romance along, but we must remember that she hasn't even been divorced for that long and she actually loved her husband until she discovered that he is a manwhore who had unprotected sex with a shrew. The thought of starting a new romance must be frightening to her and this one will be subject to so much gossip. Even though she is most excellent when it comes to her duties, people will question how much his love for her contributed to her professional success.
I just pray that on Monday we finally enter their love and power couple stage. After all, there are still a lot of demons in that hotel to slay.
That influencer chick really has set her sights on rekindling their old romance, but she clearly sees that he has Miyu in his heart. I need her to go on some exciting new trek, but...
Liked:- Our newly formed quartet in arms, the way they handled the cured meat swap, the booming business. Really…
I have watched Love at Night. That ex was a pain in the ass.
I don't think influencer chick is evil but she does seem like she's going to be very persistent and may even make a public confession. From trailers it looks she uses fans to fan the notion of a romance with Mr. Ji by using her popularity, which now that I think of it is kind of evil.
She's bringing big business to the hotel which puts Ji Feng in a difficult position. I don't think he'll encourage her advances but it will take Miyu getting upset over it for him to draw a line under that.
I have a different opinion. I find that the ML character written very well. The ML personality isn't the domineering…
Miyu is suing her cheater of an ex-husband for the hidden money and taking him to court, which should be exciting. He is pissed and the I am certain that vixen will also blow her top. He will owe Miyu millions, which should also make her feel more secure.

Yeah, but I was glad she at least admitted to herself that she has "fallen"for Ji Feng. I think she just wants to get her life and career in order before embarking on a serious relationship, which it will very much be between this couple. And I, too, believe that Tan jr and the influencer chick are there to make them push forward.
I’m still enjoying the workplace battles. I get some find them boring, same old etc. But I really don’t mind.…
I am enjoying them, too. I was so happy that bitchy girl got to take over Miyu's forewoman's position and feel confident Miyu will put that lobby girl in her place. The pin from the chairwoman made me tear up a bit. It was such a sweet thing for her to do. I hope that somehow it's discovered that there's not just a man backing Miyu, but also the most powerful woman in the company. The candy wrappers was also a sweet surprise.
The ex is an annoying addition, but I think that she and Tan jr. will force our main couple to get closer soonest.
Agree with. you about the mean rants in the comments section. So annoying.
I think it is Tan Jr. but don't think they end up together or have a relationship.
Also, in one of the trailers, ML suggests he was taking advantage of her being drunk. I do hope nothing happens between them even though she's a free agent. I hate SMLs with a passion, lol.

In the trailers it seems they will both be exhibiting signs of jealousy.
Also, Miyu is going to go after her husband in court for the investment money he hid. I hope he's forced to sell the new apartment to give her the money he owes. How perfect would that be?!?
That influencer girl is pretty aggressive but hopefully it will make Miyu confront her feelings and share them with Ji Feng. I also hope he makes it clear to influencer girl that she is not the one for him because he has someone in his heart already.

I agree with everything you've said.
They are both in such tentative positions. He obviously hasn't been in a relationship for a long time and she hasn't been divorced all that long. They are also finding their footing at work and there's a lot at stake for both of them. In addition, they each seem to have introverted personalities but when they finally get it together they are going to be explosive.
She definitely wouldn't be rising so quickly without him, even though she is absolutely capable, and she knows that. Miyu also has admitted to her friend and herself that she's falling for Ji Feng and I was pleased to see that.
Having said all of this, I hope that by Sunday we see some progress in this relationship.

I love the quartet in arms, too, and was so thrilled to see the anticipated trouble and stashed the cured meat outside of the kitchen. That whole scene with the idiot Duan was wonderful. I am going to order that soup from an authentic Chinese restaurant this evening. Praying it's delicious because it's expensive!
The accidental kiss was silly but for some reason these dramas insist on that and the tripping trope every single time. The writers just can't help themselves. The good news is that I saw a clip on this site the other day of them in their lovers stage and it is very sensuous and mature. And yes, his memory of them in on the makeshift bed was very nice and a bit of a surprise treat.
Also agree with you about the influencer. She doesn't seem like the evil type like the vixen who is now married to Miyu's ex-husband, but she definitely wants to rekindle the romance with Mr. Ji, which on one hand is going to be annoying, but on the other will up the ante for Miyu, who is going to be quite jealous it seems, which could be fun.
