You made great points but I just wish they would communicate so they can work together on bringing the bad man down because the audit is happening, no matter what. They need to have a serious talk, that she needs to initiate because he is too deep in his hero complex and surely she knows he is working for the company to "save" her.

It's all kind of confusing because surely she knows he's working at the firm to help uncover whatever the audit is hoping to achieve and that he's a double agent of sorts. I'm feeling like it's a combo of she knows he joined the firm to aid the audit undercover but also desperately wants him to choose her, even if it's a secret they keep at home.
