I think its a translation issue. They were setting the date of 5/30 to consummate their relationship, not get…
The whole storyline around the May 30 date seems off. I wonder if scenes were cut and that's why it ended up being so muddled. The female lead acted too happy about the May 30 date, frequently mentioning it and counting down to it. Not the response you expect from a drama heroine if it was just to consummate the relationship.
Overall, the drama ended up being a nice, sweet, low angst second chance romance that I really liked and enjoyed primarily because the drama featured a great romance. While the leads had chemistry, their romance never sizzled but we did have tons of episodes with them just being loving towards each other. They actually get back together fairly early in the drama and never really have any conflicts or misunderstandings once they reunite as a couple.
While some of my all-time favorite dramas have a lot of angst, misunderstandings and conflict, I find I really enjoy watching low angst dramas like this one. The episodes just seemed to fly by.
While I don't recall feeling this way after reading the book, the drama did leave me wondering if it is just a matter of time before the ML is killed in the line of duty (lots of bombs and dead co-workers in this drama). Also, the SWAT team members jobs appears similar to being in the military as the ML was very rarely home and was given no time off for major events, not even the birth of his child. Neither the drama nor the novel explored the ML considering a different job in law enforcement that had a lower risk of death or one that allowed him a personal life. Nor did the FL lead or anyone in their family ever once question his job choice, not even after he was severely injured.
So did I miss the redemption arc that turn the ML's abusive alcoholic father into a decent human being because I certainly don't remember watching any event that caused his total personality change.
queen inhyun's mango princess gomoon lovers scarlet heart ryeodr Jin
I agree with Go Princess Go (its the Chinese version of Mr Queen) but its the FL in both that transmigrates. The ML in Queen InHyun's Man time travels (doesn't transmigrate) from ancient to modern times.
Unfortunately, translated novel has been removed by the translator. Description per Shushengbar: He is the last centimeter of sunshine in her life, and she is his only reason to be strong. To Ji Yi, Ji Cheng Yang is a joy in her childhood, a cup of coffee in her youth, is that kite painted for her, is the unfinished movie “Journey to the West”, and even more so, is her longing and love in her otherwise monotone life. She follows behind him, imitating his lifestyle and liking the things he likes. For Ji Yi, her entire adolescence after meeting Ji Cheng Yang is writing just one name. To Ji Cheng Yang, Ji Yi is a wisp of early morning sunshine, the warmest existence, is his biggest tie to his home country. In order to pursue his dream, he left and hurt her. In the end, he came back to her side. Reflecting back many years later, he did not think that the day he brought a little girl to her dance recital was the start of this lingering relationship.
I am enjoying this so much. I am even enjoying the pacing, having to wait between watching the episodesas that…
Weekend or longer dramas (generally 50 or so one hour episodes): My Husband Got a Family, Giant, Five Enough, Ojakgyo Brothers, Once Again, My Father is Strange, Wonderful Mama, Seo Young My Daughter, Smile You (for the lead couple only), Family's Honor, Famous Princesses
Daily dramas (generally 120 or so half hour episodes): Ugly Alert, The King's Daughter Soo Baek Hyang
I'm about to go into the final two episodes and I have been disappointed with the female lead all through this…
I thought it had too much in the way of palace politics and not enough crime solving... FL was touted for her brilliant crime solving abilities so thought it would focus more on crimes to solve, not palace backstabbing...
Ok, I appreciate that they gave us a happy ending, BUT I'm but not sure why they had to have a 1 year time jump, with the ML only confessing to the FL after he is told by the physician that he has "lovesickness". Kinda lame.
