Best comedy to lol

This is an amazing simple comedy. I have watched it once in March 2025 and again re-watching it in Aug. 2026. I find the simple comedy makes me laugh out loud even the 2nd time. The ML and FL are amazing together. Just simply too funny.
If you want to relax, laugh this is the series to watch.

Palace/ Harem intrigue

This series is very well done. It is a "harem" drama. I tried to watch it 2 years ago but only went up to episode 28 as I didn't want to watch a "harem" drama at the time. I watched it all now and I found it very captivating. Of couse there is always some twists in these series but well worth watching.

Period Political Drama

This is a Period Political drama, with of course some romantic relationships. I found that 40 episodes is too long. Could have ended at 30 episodes. The story is good, I just found too much inside family jealousy drama. There is some humour. I enjoyed watching this series and all the actors did a great job.

Sweet, adorable and the landscape alone makes it worth watching

I enjoyed every episode of this series. Actors I didn't know previously to watching this show. It is an adorable and sweet story filled with emotions. The landscape alone makes it worth watching as it made me see some of the barren wilderness, I may never get to see in my lifetime. This is a must watch for anyone especially listening to the different languages spoken throughout the episodes.

Sweet youth romance

This was a sweet youth clean romance. Nice to see a movie that brings all the right story in only 100 minutes.
This series does not have any drama and jealous friends. It was just perfect for a quiet evening. Sometimes series are too long and have comedy mixed with drama but this length was just perfect.

Romantic drama with family feuds

I truly appreciate the three main leads as they are fantastic actors. This is a drama more than a comedy. There is a lot of family feuds and plotting against each other, and at time difficult to watch. I did fast forward many of the family feud episodes.
Personal choice is important when writing reviews as I personally like light romantic comedies of political dramas.

Drama series with great cast

Drama series, I did hope for a different ending. The cast is well known and worked well together. I did fast forward some episode as I was hoping for more of a romantic series. I have watch many series with these main leads and of cours Johnny Huang is great in any series he is part of. I found 30 episodes a bit too long.

Romantic Drama

This is one of those series that seems to have a repeated storyline like many C-dramas. It is a mix of other c-dramas from the past. All good actors, a good story but I always find that more than 24 episodes is too much. It could end sooner than watching all 30 episodes. It is finally a sweet romantic comedy with some life experiences.

Well worth watching

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It has a great cast of actors, and the story line kept me watching. There are different stories of each character and some twists during the plot that are surprising. Period drama with sweet female lead that makes us count our blessings for living in our era where women have many choices.

Legal drama

This is a story of real estate and law cases in Beijing. There are many characters in different relationships. The story line is good, as a many C-dramas with Wang Yang, it is based on corporate and law office drama. It's ok as a story line but I found that after 21 episodes, I got the picture of the plot.
I truly like both main leads as I have seen them in many other C-dramas.
This time, I am not certain if I will continue the series later on.

Psychological Thriller

This is a psychological thriller story, with intrigue and suspense. This is a little sci-fiction series but well done. The acting and character's story are good. It is worth watching even if you dislike fantasy stories. I see it as an intriguing and suspensful series, that is entertaining. I will continue watching it.

Too much violence

For me, I like period C-dramas that are historical, humorous with some drama. I can handle the theme of violence against women and children. This is a them of human trafficking, and I just can't watch any more of the series. Too bad, as it was very promising. It is a personal choice, no matter if the main leads are well known, the theme is too much form me.

Too dramatic with inappropriate jealousy

This series is great in the beginning but then it gets too dramatic with inappropriate jealousy, so I stopped watching it at episode 19. I like the main leads, this is a series from 2020 and C-dramas evolved since 2020. I didn't appreciate inappropriate jealousy in this drama. Sometimes the music was too loud and it made it difficult to hear the conversations.

Excellent Psychological Thriller

This is an excellent psychological thriller. Everything about this series is so intriguing. If you can get past the violence of the first 4 episodes, the intrigue is amazing that I just continued watching. All the characters play such a great role and trying to figure out the true story behind the scenes is what makes this series interesting.

Amazing suspense

This is such an intriguing and suspensful series. The music makes it so intense. I had to take some breaks and also because of the intense fast pace stressful episodes, I sometimes put the mute on. It is a great series if you want fast pace, spy series.
Well worth watching. No romance, no humour, just great acting with these characters.
