What question was the assassin court lady asking FL about the crown prince that got her so flustered?
Wow, I hope she feels better soon! And thank you Kim Kyung Nam for asking for too much money? 😂 What a blessing…
Naive question, how big in Junho in the kpop idol world? I don't follow that scene. Yes, I've heard of groups like BTS and RedPink in the news but never heard any of their songs before.
First half is very good. Gets a bit political second half. Very good chemistry and acting by the two leads. Bonus: No love triangle. I would had said hands down it the best sageuk drama of 2021 if Red Sleeve haven't shown up. I will wait for red Sleeve to finish before concluding.
In the minority here , but I hope no kiss till last scene of last episode. Keeps the tension and expectations high all the way to the end. I think Bossam did not have a kiss at all in entire series and I enjoyed the series.
You know, this show reminds me a bit of BBC's 1995 Pride and Prejudice. Yi San is basically Mr Darcy. Aristocratic, arrogant , brooding with pent up sexual frustration for the leading lady. He even have a wet shirt scene.
Here's hoping this drama doesn't go the way of King's Affection and completely lose its way. Sagueks tends to get overly political during the second half and lose focus on the core relationship which is he strength of red sleeve. Bossam is another case where it lost a bit of shine during the latter half.
Watching The Red Sleeve give me some nostalgic feelings just like throwback on my youth days to The Dae Jang Geum…
But with the bonus of advance digital effects. The ambient scenes inside the palace at night are darker , more realistic and sets the correct mood. I always felt that the Dong Yi sets were lighted too strongly.
Gosh I'm so loving the instrumentals/bgm though; so nostalgic and immersive.
True. I prefer instrumantal pieces too. I always turn down the volume when those mushy songs starts playing during romantic or sentimental scenes in kdramas.
Fat chance , you will get a panning shot to the Joseon era wooden ceiling. This is a public channel and very conservative.
Its actually great grand parents. My mistake. The girl is the old King's Yeonjo's mother who started out as a slave(at least in the series). He is very sensitive to his humble origin, hence young Yi san was almost punished for reading that book.
Very good chemistry and acting by the two leads. Bonus: No love triangle.
