Most of the sci-fi dramas they’ve put out in recent years haven’t been very good. This one had the brother connection that I found deeply engaging. I wish we’d gotten more of Star’s story and the loss of population but it would have been too much stuff pulling focus from the main story.

Blackthorne took a backseat in this drama. The “romance” also did. But honestly, with this actor it might have been for the best. It also felt like they didn’t know how to wrap the story up in the last episode. In any format without Mariko, it lost its luster. She was truly the lynchpin.
