Lol - it is a long day indeed! Cao Dun just couldn't resist the history lessons. The emperor of course was Tang…
I suspected it was referencing real people only disguised. Been meaning to look them up to get some historical context for myself. Now I have names! Thank you! ^^ I was wondering if the chancellor held so much power that the emperor had to give him the job. The emperor was nitpicking the son while the chancellor seemed able to command various military forces and had the three judicial seals. I really came to mega-loathe him. The Crown Prince, on the other hand, didn't seem to have the proper conniving spirit the emperor was looking for or maybe he was just hiding it really well.

“Maybe it was the overuse of green screens but I caught him frequently out of the moment and staring blankly into space. “

Maybe he was trying to figure out the plot, too? 😁 Think I’ll skip this one.

"Donnie’s Kiu was a masterful fighter but came across as not terribly bright."😂😂😂
Nicest way I knew to put it after the fourth time he was betrayed/fooled. 😆 I kept thinking he might have a plan but instead he was passively pulled along by the story.

Thank you. 🌸🥰

Whose going to tell them this lovely heartwarming drama has a lesbian as one of the main characters—and she’s portrayed positively.

Yes, that is the American style of writing the date. It is for my own housekeeping as the date doesn’t appear…
Glad you were able to find how far in the future they jumped. I thought it was 30-50 years but couldn’t remember exactly. It’s in my notes somewhere, I just didn’t want to spoil too much in my review.

The laptop version shows the date but I’m often using MDL on my phone so I started adding a date. If you run across one of my review dates in the future, like pounds and miles we do things bassackwards in my neck of the woods. 😄

8/12/23 ? It's 4/12/23 today. Don't tell me, the date it's the American style ? So confusing...Otherwise...nice…
Yes, that is the American style of writing the date. It is for my own housekeeping as the date doesn’t appear on my phone and I like to see when I wrote a certain review. After 600 reviews I tend to lose track of when I watched something.

As I recall they did give an estimate of how far they were in the future but I don’t remember when that reveal came about. I hope you enjoy the rest of it.

Sounds like another decent short drama that pushes the envelope and are a nice guilty pleasure.
Definitely falls into the guilty pleasure but not too guilty. I mentioned the edits could be abrupt but given the short time, they told a lot of story.

Snow Monster attempts to answer that question < this is a really profound and important question to be answered,…
But the more profound question may be—how did the Meg end up on the snow covered mountains? Not one but several giant sharks? 😄

This one doesn't even ring a bell. But I hate vampires so I must have avoided it.
I don’t know why but Hopping Vampires crack me up. And Hoppy was mostly played for laughs. This movie was bizarre but had its funny and creepy moments. It was the slow ones that are like death in a kung fu movie.

Dear goodness she was gorgeous in this film.
And despite how gifted and talented she is, she’s 35 and those kind of roles will become less available. And amazing roles for women in film don’t come around often enough as it is-in any country.

TROP will always be one of my favorites of hers. Parallel Worlds isn't bad although I don't understand their mythology. The role seems to fit her well. We won't talk about The Warrior's Gate. 😄 Now that was a ridiculous white savior movie.

I like that all three women have a different physicality. He certainly saw talent with Ni Ni. This was an excellent role to introduce her to the world.

This is a stunning movie, I started to watch it a few times but idk why I always stop halfway.
The story is slow to begin with and then kicks it into high gear. Like nearly all ZYM films it is gorgeous to look at. This is my second time to watch it.

I don’t know why or how I am just finding your lists, but this one made me cackle 🤣 would be fun to know…
Thank you! 😊

After the comment below I deleted most of the reasons. Even though I did it with humor thought maybe I’d been too mean. I never got personal it’s all about how I view their job performance. Maybe I’ll put the comments back in sometime. 😁 person below lives in their own world. I’m honestly surprised when anyone from MDL finds this list. Cannot imagine any actor searching through the thousand of members of MDL and then down to the bottom of my lists and getting their feelings hurt because some random woman doesn’t like their acting 😄

There are some that have been in trouble for pervy behavior. But mostly it’s the screechers, baby talkers, hair actors, planks of wood, or had so much facial work done they can no longer show emotion. A lot of them are very popular, they just don’t do it for me. I’m a big believer in vive la difference! ❤️

Title The Meg
This is a joint China-USA film. MDL has numerous films that are joint projects and are included as long as one…
The country of origin is USA so it cannot be added. Much like Minari
