Technically speaking this ain't 'rebirth'. He's gone into the past or into his previous life so we've got another reason why the english title sucks π
What just happened... That ending... I don't know whether I should feel heartbroken or not... I liked it nonetheless,…
They should've made it more psychological, would've made the show (and the ending) lot more engaging and interesting. But yeah yes to everything you said π
Very indie and artsy for a drama- something you don't find very often in dramaland. Something very fascinating about how the offbeat, quirky and at times chilling atmosphere pulled me into it. It's very clear the atmosphere of the show wanted to mimic the nature of it's characters. Kim Young Kwang too has successfully traumatised me.
But just like the aftertaste of a good ole arthouse film, it leaves you wondering, what the frick did you just watch π Was disappointed at the lack of american psycho-ness too. 7/10
Action packed, suspenseful and immersive. A well done thriller. The direction was hands down the best aspect of this drama- makes you feel like your peeking into the worst 3 hours of these characters' lives in real time. The only things that were a minor letdown was a few clownish characters, couple conveniences and ooh the excessive shiiii-s π
But still worth my time. Also, my boy Ko Keuk Ryul deserves a guinness record for being a human cockroach π
for those who have read the webtoon, I have some question, please answer with spoiler checked:1. Is there any…
1. No romance in any form at all. 2. Hence Not applicable π 3. There was "sexual tension" between Miho and Van but they don't date or do any lovey dovey stuff π
*In conclusion, this is certainly not the drama to watch for romance*
It will also be on Amazon Prime for the international folks, but then again that is only if you have prime π
I'm afraid I don't have an exact answer to this cause I've never used prime either. Love in contract was the only other kdrama picked up by amazon while it was airing, however that could only be viewed on rent. The good thing was Viki had picked up LIC so most people would've watched it there. Island would be Amazon's first proper airing kdrama to be on its platform, so we'll just have to wait for it to start airing to get more info on this. Many articles also said that Island would debut in 240 countries outside SK but we've got to wait to find out if that is completely true π
This I pray in the name of Siwan-nim π Damn, I already feel much better :D
