Great post 😊. I've always felt her roles were intelligently selected. She'll take on a challenging support role that showcases her acting and puts her alongside industry veterans over pushing for a fluff lead role in a youth drama. And while a quick glance might make it seem like having a lead role is more impressive. The substance of the supporting roles Ai Mi takes on has done wonders for developing her acting and furthering her career. Even her recent lead roles have great variance, demonstrating her ability across genres.
The fact we'll miss her on our screens while she's studying is a great sign she's left an impression. On the one hand, I'm happy she won't have to juggle study and filming. Now she can get plenty of rest and put all her energy into developing her craft. Like Wu Lei, she takes her acting seriously and likes to challenge herself. I remember an interview where she said she wanted to try all kinds of characters and not be pigeonholed. With that mindset and talent, she's going to be around for a long time.
On the other hand, it's going to be so hard to find another upcoming actor to follow while Ai Mi is studying at the BFA 😭. There's only one Ai Mi.

I'm biased 😁. But, I agree. Pure on-screen magic. Be it comedy or heavy dramatic scenes. They just mesh well. Even I didn't expect it to be this good. I'm so proud of her stepping up and taking on the challenge. And, I'm absolutely ecstatic about her success in KTTPH & KFS. She works so hard, she deserves it.
