Umm this was marketed as toxic love, from filming videos, to trailers, to previews, everything screamed of toxic love. We all knew the characters were not sane, and there would be toxicity filled.
Most of us tuned for it. Its not promoting, I am sorry, its weird to say promoting. If someone kills another person in a drama, do we say the drama is promoting murder? Nope. Its fun, fiction, something different than usual romcoms.

It means suffering, torment, being angry at each other, resulting into stuff. I would have preferred if ML was angry at FL for few episodes, because its a 33 ep drama, till 20 episodes it would have been fine. After that we could focus on the love thing.

I do, a little more personality from the ML. Angst from him as well, would have been better, instead of just being a loser in love. I love such characters in rom coms though, but in such a drama, may be not so much. But again everyone's coping method is different, so I do feel bad for him.

Even female leads are always unfortunate with families. They will make both the leads so pitiful always, if not a modern drama.

Churan cannot be saved, the filming is about to complete, but Linghe can. Protest in China, where are his fans, when he desperately needs them.
Like though the editing and cinematography has considerably improved now, I cannot forgive this director anyhow. Tell him and the editor to retire please😭.

??? Just watch the episodes again. She said herself she shot the gun at herself, and made it look like ML shot her infront of Huo goons, so that they feel ML killed the killer of their master, so they would leave him. FL said it.
Nope she wanted to buy those 5 planes. When ML disagreed, she told him she would tell him the truth, ML accepted because for him the truth is more important than anything. It was a deal.
Nope she told him multiple times to stay away, he cannot, that's his problem, exactly as you said simp.
But ML has only received love from only one person in his life, her. And to get back that love he can do anything.

FL can do anything for revenge, love is not her priority, but she doesn't want him to get involved in this mess. But he cannot bear to leave her alone. Its sad. Its toxic. But again a drama, so even if its not a happy ending, it won't be separation, it would be because one of them dies, and another one lives with tragic life.

Its completely okay, I am not arguing with you here, we are just discussing the drama. We can have difference in opinions.

Nope she did not use him. After falling for him after spending time with him, she got to know his connection to Huo family. Its not like she approached him and made him fall for her because she wanted to exploit his relation to Huo family. She went with him to the party, but her intention was never to kill anyone or even frame ML, it was an act of self defense and ML became a victim. She even shot herself for others to know that ML killed the "killer".
Yes things happened, but it was out of FL's control at that time. From ML's perspective, she can be a villain. But then why is he such a loverboy. Leave her, don't follow her, don't protect her. Infact take his own revenge, expose her. But nope he isn't doing anything of that. He wants her back no matter how much hurt he was due to him. FL has no plans to return as of now. She is deeply involved in her revenge. She told him multiple times to stay away, if he isn't able to do that, that's not her problem.
But yes maybe not deliberately, but due to circumstances she is indeed a toxic person in his life. In reality, they would have let go off each other, sadly its not. So despite the toxic love, they will find way back to each other.

Everytime. Honestly, I don't remember a drama where the lead character had healthy parents. They are either making him/her orphans or they will kill them within 3 episodes, or parents are so evil that they should be just called egg/sperm donors.

I get you, but I also understand FL.
Its just both of them have different priorities, ML wants her back. FL wants the revenge first, and wants to keep him out.
Both need therapy before anything else.

For most audience, they hype a drama based on visuals and the actors. Zhang Linghe and Wang Churan are very popular actors, with huge fan bases, and they have great visuals. Most of the audience never cares about the director, we should. A director and a script are the most important , but it is what it is.
I saw the Reuters of that drama as well, and it was really impressive. Plus it has a huge budget which focused on styling and costumes, so visual appearance is great. Sad they kind of ruined the first few episodes by the pathetic CGI.

But the story currently is not bad. I thought of dropping it myself, but from ep 9 onwards, the plot became engaging to me. The editing considerably improved a lot. So yeah.

We all know this isn't happening though. He loves her way too much for even thinking about taking revenge.

I am sorry but comments like these cause unecessary fan wars and toxicity between people. We cannot be sure of anything before the drama releases, but hopefully this drama will be a good one.

😂😂Do you remember that scene in Overdo when Susu pushed Qingyi and got hit by that vase by his mother. It was in one second that she reacted, ran, pushed and got hurt. Same like Indian serials/movies. And there were some other scenes as well, that pathetic plane scene. So one person in X made a whole compilation with a Bollywood song, and it was so appropriate, with dhomtananaaa, haha😂
Now I am beginning to think if the director is a Bollywood fan or not.

It was like those 70s Amitabh Bachchan dying scenes, giving a speech, like bro go to the hospital, we can hear it later😂
