I care about the romance too, but Revenge is the most important thing for me here. Haha ragebaiter ML😂.
But no my comment was in general for many dramas. Everytime a small thing happens, people divide the people into flags, then decide he doesn't deserve her, she doesn't deserve him. Its funny, let people do things, evolve. Its fiction. They are not real people, not our real partners. Let's just enjoy a story.

Just my personal take, but I feel the entire green flag red flag debates are not letting us see more to the characters, dramas and plots. There are thousands of dramas these days with near perfect MLs and FLs. We have the romcom genre especially for that. But this is too monotonous.
This drama doesn't only have romance. In fact romance is later, its much more about revenge and survival. Serious dramas like these give us a chance to look beyond flawless characters. People choose their motives beyond "love", make mistakes, overcome them. We see better layered characters.
And trust me this has nothing to do with the gender, at least for me. I will defend both male/female characters who do things for their objectives/goals in a serious drama like this, where romance takes a back seat. Serve me angst please.

Nope FL and ML's brother are engaged. But ML's brother likes another girl. FL likes ML but currently FL and ML are not in friendly terms.
FL and ML's brother have no relationship as such, both liking different people, have different objectives. Its an arranged marriage setup.

No she did not frame him. She had no intention to frame him, she never planned to.
Her actions did result in that, but she had no idea that it would have been. It was not deliberate. It was an unintentional mistake. ML can be angry on her, for sure. But from an audience's perspective, FL did not deliberately ruin his life.

No she never planned to make everyone believe ML killed Hua. Its a misunderstanding between Huo family and ML first, later they understood ML brought the woman with whom who killed their master. In fact FL did not plan to kill anybody in the house, she went their to rescue her friend. That Huo master attacked her, she killed him in self defense. It was not a planned murder.
She actually ML in the train that she always planned to use him, which is a lie, so that he hates her. But when she saw people followed them, and he was injured by them, she decided that it was for betterment for everyone, that even they see ML killing her. So they will let ML go, and the killer is already dead. ML is from a rich family. Every thing would have worked out. But it didn't sadly.
Plus she never had the time to think, she did everything at the heat of the moment. There was no planning involved.

Nope. She just took his help to enter the party. Rest everything, she had no idea, it would happen to him. ML is from a rich background. She did not know his family was evil to him. She even let everyone see that ML killed her, the girl who murdered Huo master. She thought that would be enough.
Yes her actions lead to ML's ruin, but she never intended to, neither planned to do that.

But the script has changed from the novel. Like the names, characters, and the base of the drama maybe similar, but a lot has been altered, I heard.

The plane sequence was a disaster, and nope it wasn't for comedy, they really made it like that with all seriousness.
But the good news is from ep 9 onwards, the editing is like 5 times better.

He is connected to the Imperial family by marriage. He is a powerful and ambitious man. A negative character.

There were some scenes in POJ of him, I will be mesmerized by them forever. Till now I have not found such a scene here. But yes we can have different perspectives.I am not saying its a bad role or something. I just think the same script with a different director who could guide him, would led to better results.

Ren Susu, the opera singer lady, many other woman, were all orphans, some trafficked. They were kept, abused frightened since childhood. The orphanage was under the Huo Family. After the girls grew up, they used to be sold to rich men, brothels etc. Ren Susu was supposed to be sold, but she was very ill, so her friend Xiaolin, took her place and was sold to a secondary branch of Huo Family. Few years later, the girls were able to run away from the orphanage.
Many of them made careers, but they wanted to find Xiaolin, and they got to know she was in that place where ML is a doctor 3 years back. FL went there to rescue her, but she couldn't. She met ML, fell for him. It was later when she got to know he had connection to Huo family, hence she went with him to the party. She found her friend, but Huo Master found them. He tried killing her, but in self defense she killed him. Then she ran away with her friend. Her friend was abused raped, even had a miscarriage. She died.
Ren susu wanted to take a train back to Nanheng, Xialin's hometown, to take her ashes there. But she was attacked, and then ML found her. She felt it was better that everyone see ML killing her, so that Huo family would think ML killed their master's killer, hence ML would be free. Plus ML was from a rich family. She went to Nanheng, changed her identity. She never thought ML would be imprisoned.
Now FL has come back to destroy Huo family, and give justice to her friend.

In ep 8, they speak about their past. In ep 11, she comes to know what happened with ML.
Actually he is alone, that he doesn't even see the FL in a bad light. For him, she is the only person who ever cared, because no one else did. After them talking about the past, though he is angry, he also realizes that FL is a victim as well. But they are not allies currently. So yeah lets see.

Guilt never. Its pride. If they white wash her, I am going to kill her myself.
She is the worst person in the drama, from my perception she is even worse than the master Huo. He is a criminal. But this woman plays victim while abusing her own child.

Ohh that revenge 😭. Do you really think he can. He is pretty confused about that. He sometimes wants to, sometimes doesn't want to. But yes he has made no progression regarding that, except few reckless things but that did not disrupt FL's plans.
I am 1000% he wouldn't though. Like its his love of his life. But by ep 11, I kind of started to understand him. Like without giving any spoilers, umm, she is the only person just not 3 years back, but in the present, who actively defends him.

Its revealed in ep 8. Do you want to get spoiled before that?

ML has no revenge to take. Till ep 11, I do not see him having any motive of taking revenge. Susu is the one who wants to take revenge, and from episode 8, she has started on the path, and there is progression. So yes regarding the revenge and plot picking, I think so its happening.
But regarding making stupid decisions, they both are pretty much confused in their "love" angle, its also toxic. But again angsty love, toxic, was everything that was marketed, so that's fine I guess. ML is still wishy washy though.

People can have different perspectives, that's fine, to watch a drama to rate it as they like. The cinematography and the editing was trash in initial episodes, till the plane sequence. But the plot was messy always, we all knew, so I have nothing against it. In fact I am enjoying it.
About the acting, this is not Linghe and Churan's best work. Linghe was good in POJ, and Churan was brilliant in How Dare You. But this is the evidence, that a trash director pulls his actors down. The director's previous work was trash as well. Its very bad that the actors got such treatment and backlash when they were clearly not at fault.
But I am glad that its getting better currently, we have many episodes. So hopefully no major issue happens again.
