Haha I read POJ first, but when I read this one, it surpassed everything I ever read with the revenge trope. Its actually very nicely done in the novel, the girl starts with scratch to reach to a level, just like POJ remember, we all read how her transition happened from a simple butcher to a general. It did not seem abrupt to us the novel readers, but the drama did not have enough time for that. I am so scared this one would take the same route because this one is even longer than POJ.
The difference between this and POJ would be the romance part, POJ had a real beautiful romance in the village part, this novel wouldn't have that. Also POJ was more about clearing their parent's name, striving for justice. This one is pure revenge taking.
I think this one had 230 chapters around, but for the first 100 chapters, ML was only in few of them, barely there. It purely focused on FL's growth, but I enjoyed that part. In the rest 130 chapters, he was a big factor.
I am going to re read the novel before the drama re releases, haha.

She dropped flex x cop season 2 to act in See you at work tomorrow which is currently airing. Flex x cop season 2 release date is early August, so it seems the filming dates of these two dramas clashed.
This drama with Song Joongki is currently filming and will air in 2027, so doesn't seem this clashed with Flex x cop season 2's dates.

No ML was not dark, FL was darker than him haha. But they suited each other so much, and FL was so brilliant, I mean she did not know fighting but I think her brain can be sold for millions.
It was just that 2-3 scenes were a little, like I remember one of them was really dark, I will never forget that scene, but I am not ruining that for you. I don't think they will show that in the drama, it will be censored.
But romance I would say is a subplot. Revenge is amazing, palace politics on its peak. The leads are allies, become partners but they were suspicious of each other for around half of the drama, but I really enjoyed their interactions it was full of sarcasm. Even while reading you could feel their tension.
Its just that some things done by ML and FL were kind of questionable for people who really consider ethics and morals. But from my perspective, in a revenge story, I want a cold blooded revenge, ethics against enemies, I can do away with it as well.

Nikollll read the novel, you would love it. Its the best novel I have ever read with this revenge trope. I just hope they can adapt it like that. Its not at all hard to understand, there are many characters, but they introduce it nicely. Its really fun. Just for the first 100 chapters, ML was barely there.

The actress will be an adult on July 13. They wrapped up filming in November last year, she was 17 then.

Yeah I think this is the same response every parent has. My dad used to stay stuff this is nothing, you know I faced this, and my grandpa would counter that with a more tragic story. I think I will do this with my kids, telling them about covid. This would be a never ending cycle😅.

Yup I agree. The scene where she was checking her score and the cut to fire scenes repeatedly, was nice. It gave from "hope" to "ruin" feels. But later it was just a abrupt cut. Like many dramas do it, make people guess the past for sometime after giving some insights. But yes here they could have done it in a better way.

In every episode you watch from now, you would feel good seeing the real adults and then fear for them, oh my God.

Yeah I am sure they would, Miao Jing doesn't know everything herself. So I am guessing there would be a point when Chen Yi would tell her everything or someone else would. We will know as Miao Jing knows, because till what we have seen the entire drama is from Miao Jing's perspective.

The abrupt cuts were not very nice, but I understand they don't want us to know everything that happened in the past, that lead to their separation. What lead to the fire, what happened to our beloved police and his girlfriend couple, aftermath etc. We have to wait for the flashback scenes.

They are friends. They all have a group, Hengdian Motorcycle group, Cheng Lei, Ao Ruipeng, Hou Minghao, He Yu and others.

Haha, I have no idea. But for sure its not a lot in comparison to the money the actors make, because most of these actors support their colleagues and friends like this, and they do it all around the year. We all know how many cdramas are released in a year, most of these actors release at least 2 dramas per year. Haha a lot of money, but for sure not for them.

The leads are not biological siblings/step siblings/cousins/relatives or anything. 2 completely different people who share no background with each other.
FL's mother was in a relationship with ML's father. But they were not married.

Some of them have also increased the number of seats like Zhou Ye, Wang Hedi, Cheng Lei and others.

They are really good adults in a show like this, they are constantly speaking on how much they love each other, preparing their marriage ahh!
