Guys Li Huai An and Changyu have difference in opinions. It doesn't make one bad.
Li Huai An is correct from his place. He is a general, he fights for people, doesn't matter how injured he is, its his decision if he wants to die fighting or not. He is not someone to desert just because he is injured. FL should not make decisions for him, from his perspective. Even though he likes her a little, he stood his ground and refused to see her again, he understands there are important things than clinging to one sided liking. I really liked this fact about him.
Changyu doesn't care about rules, she has always been like that. She cares for people. Li Huai An wouldn't have stood 5 minutes more if he had gone to the battle. She protected someone she considers a friend, someone who has helped her before. She returned the favour to him. If Changyu was someone who is weak, who cannot defend territory, and still took a reckless decision, I would have been against that too. But she was able to defend Lucheng, and kill Prince Changxin. Looking at the big picture, she won, imperial army won, and she saved Li Huai An from death as well. If someone can bend the rules, a little without causing any harm, I don't see a problem.
This is a subplot. A disagreement between two characters. I don't think its that difficult to stand in their position and understand their perception to it. We don't need to take sides always, and labelling one correct and other wrong.
Same! Of course the pacing is... not that good but I'm not disappointed or upset. 40 episodes isn't a lot when…
A lot, like the whole Changyu growth thing could have been placed better instead of 3-4 episodes, if only we had 50-60 episodes. Like reading the novel, her journey was way more organic, felt natural, so I don't blame the people who think Changyu suddenly got powerful, because they haven't read the novel. I am glad I did read it though, I am able to visualize things as shown in the drama and nothing Changyu does makes me feel its abrupt or unnatural.
Ikr . Just got home to check some spoilers and comments from our pig slapping community but what happened now…
Don't take it to heart what others think. Take rest, watch it and decide for yourself. People are bound to have different perceptions. I enjoyed it regardless, though there are some things I am conflicted about. I will rewatch and have a perception then.
Ohh my God, the comment section turned into a battlefield.
Giving my 2 cents- I really really loved the cinematography of the battle scene. I think its the best I have ever seen. A lot of stuff happened in 2 episodes, I am kind of dizzy, and I will have to rewatch, but yeah I expected, they have to rush it now a little. I am happy about the palace politics arc that is going to start now.
Qi Min has always true identity. He has grown up remembering that, he even remembers the fire incident. Only nanny…
Xie Zheng has never questioned Sui Yuanhuai's parentage. The fact is ML never saw Sui Yuanhuai, he never came to battles so when Sui Yuanhuai introduced himself as Mr. Qi from the capital, ML though did not trust him, but never found a connection to Suis.It was only in episode 28, end scene, ML realized after hearing from Zhao that Sui Yuanhuai is actually the assumed dead son Qi Min.I remember ML telling his subordinates later in Linan, to gather information about Mr. Qi. They told him they had no info. I think this is because Qi Min being weak was always confined at home.So I think though ML distrusted Mr.Qi as a rice merchant from the capital, but he never knew he was Changxin's son or Crown Prince's real son before ep 28.
If Changyu’s real father is Wei Qilin, is she related to Wei Yan, Xie Zheng’s uncle?
Wei Qilin was a servant bought into the Wei Family, hence his surname is Wei. Those days, people who serve someone, take his surname. Like Xie Wu, Xie Qi etc have Xie surname because they serve under ML who is Xie Zheng.
I don’t get why Qi Min turned into a madman? Can anyone explain it me?
A 4-5 year old prince happily enjoying his life, suddenly heard the death of his father. His mother feared for his life, and deliberately burnt his face. He was sent away to live among enemies grow up with another identity. His face unrecognizable, filled with scars, people dreaded him, no one came near, plus the excruciating pain. The subordinates with whom who know the truth, protect him because he has the royal blood, the true heir, for the throne, not for him alone. They fed him continuously how he had to take revenge, gain the throne. His nanny also made him feel how he looked like a monster and a king cannot look like this. Made him go through skin grafting procedures, the pain made him numb. He was weak due to fire, and nanny refused to let him learn martial arts so that it doesn't weak him anymore. He has to continue pretend to be weak in front of his adoptive father, his step mother so that they think he is no threat and his step brother can be the heir apparent. Received no love, care from anyone growing up. Hence never knew how to love. When he was a teenager, he was drugged to sleep with a woman whom he doesn't remember after the night, causing the woman to be pregnant. He hated that night that woman that child. He thought that child could easily replace him because his subordinates only cared about royal blood, so his child being alive is a threat to his life. Later, he was saved by a woman, who was not frightened by him even with his mask. He fell for her, later realized she was the woman he slept with, and that woman ran away.
He never understood love, never received love, he only knows obsession- with throne, with the truth of 17 years, with Qian Qian.
Damn they really changed it to Wei Yan hitting him...😔😭
Lol, I was just about to say if we talk more here, maybe now other people would come and criticize us for making the comment section our personal chatroom lol, so maybe we should continue in the dm. Hahaha. It was nice talking to you. But the next time you recommend me dramas, and we talk for 14 hours it would be in the dm, hahaha.
