But here I really like that Yeli's revenge and marriage are two different things. Yes, she wanted to get married so that she can escape mountains. But she told that clearly to MXY. Then to the her brother from the same sect/head of security of Ye family, she told him how she and MXY are getting along fine. And that she asked someone to read her fortune, who told her that they will be happy and have many heirs. Like Yeli is genuinely interested in the marriage. She likes him already, maybe since he saved her years back. This is really cute. This part is different from the novel as well. Novel Yeli had no revenge to take, but she was really cold. This Yeli is very complex, but she is not at all cold as a person. Also I think they changed the trope here to- She fell first, but he fell harder.
In the novel he was a decade elder than her. I think that's why they showed it.
In the novel they were 15 and 25-56. The drama we are not sure. But in the flashback scene, a teenage Yeli was saved by a young adult MXY. So I think they might have kept the same age gap.
