Thank you! Exactly. It's not like china has just one brother themed BL novel. AND it may not be clear to everyone but this story is basically kink fantasy material. It's the most step/foster brother plot we ever gotten, not even Unknown went that deep into it. Heck Song Qi may even have a "Ge/brother" kink himself but that is a little spoiler for episode 4 , you will understand wehen you watch that scene. (Qi and Li are both a bit unhinged and i love them lol).

btw I recommend the making ofs on their channel, they are funny.

pretty sure he does like him that way as well, he's constantly blushing and shy, letting Qi just do questionable things. he's just conflicted and doesn't know what to do since they see each other as brothers so he pretends everything is normal

but to be fair if you look at their other stuff on their yt they already did improve with this one and surely will keep going up. it's still fun to watch for me because the characters are damn unhinged (affectionate) 😂

Ah thanks! Yes I heard about that weird decision for "The Sparkle In your Eye"... why don't they just list it as chinese when it's coproduced? Viki lists it as taiwanese and GagaOOLaala as chinese. Why is MDL so picky it's not like they list all including countries 🙄 instead of hanging on the one country that can't be listed here (...) why not take one of the others that worked on that series as well.... it's frustrating.

you need to look a bit further if you want to get out of the fluffy cutecute realm of BL. china as well as korea have some. but usually it's indie companies on youtube and not official broadcasting channels.

yes that's why I added the info in the brackets, since it's listed as thai here on MDL. but the actors, story, director etc are all chinese. there is a thai dub but also a chinese original dub. they worked with thailand and taiwan to get around chinese censorship.
