Some people don't know shit about acting if you call this one bad .... yall are so weirdly biased about things or people you don't like. imo the acting is pretty good and the story is interesting! It's just not cutesy fluffy happy go lucky BL and some here can't deal with that kind of content....

You can not expect that everyone ignores that you write basically, in a public comment section, to erase a queer love story's queer love part, just because you didn't like their kiss. That tbh is a pretty ignorant and stupid opinion which is borderline homophobic even.... If you don't want anyone to respond to that, in an area designed for communication, then don't write it in public.
Yes 4 years ago THIS kind of kiss was the standard in korean BL due to censorships and homophobia! They even rated tame BLs as 18+ for a while just because it has same sex romance in it. Showing a kiss even just in this tame, light kind of style was already a step forward. I don't know how long you are watching BL but they pretty much developed to be a bit more, lets say natural, the past 2-ish years. BLs in general develop fast since 2020 due to the international boom. But all korean BL from 4+ years ago have either just 1 still kiss per series or don't show kisses at all (if they wanted to get sponsors and official public releases). Korea is, before china, still the last one making steps forward for queer TV. (not talking about indie productions since they are self-financed and just marketed towards a niche audience on their own plattforms)
Besides all that that kiss isn't even that bad for that era of BL + considering the characters age and experiences...
Try "Every you, Every me" then. It starts cute but later :') (I rarely cry but episode 4 hurt like hell). And…
alright, it turned out that there are in-drama actors (not the real actors, but also fictional characters) who play all these stories. every few episodes they are seen at the end of an episode in behind the scenes bits, where we get a glimpse of their developing and later crumbling relationship. it's very ironic but also realistic. BL fans always wish their favs would date for real, but in reality it can bring some complications during production.
Actually trying to make this show with a gay romance kinda ruined it for me. It looked way too obvious that these…
.... this is literally based on a gay romance novel what do you mean "ruined it by making it gay".... it IS a gay romance story to beginn with. the whole point of the plot is that these guys are soulmates.... korea was more censored back then with gay kisses on tv so they couldn't go more out with the kiss. but as the characters first ever kiss in the story it's totally fine that they are a bit shy about it and not making out right away.
Hyun Jun was kinda pressured out of season 2 by his annoying fans and homophobes pestering him about it. Also he changed company after season 1, they probably didn't let him come back either. It was his first time acting btw.

Yep, each 1-2 episodes have different stories played by the same actors. It's like watching AU fanfics lol. But there is one element that connects them all, which would be a spoiler if I said it.
I thought they just became boyfriends, and now they are breaking up at the end of ep 6 end credits?
it's because time passed for them while we were watching the episodes. i think every new story is like a new series / movie for them, which in reality would take at least 1 year to produce.
