Oh my god! Really?! You think just cause it a Chinese film it's going to be a sad ending?! I find that horribly…
Oh absolutely - I would LOVE to be wrong; genuinely and honestly LOVE to be wrong. I would be so happy to see the Chinese government stop being so anti the LGBT+ community, stop making it basically illegal. But it's not likely to happen in my lifetime; the Chinese government is VERY anti LGBT+ and that's just how it is.....sadly.

Title Real Girl Spoiler
ShiraYuuKii -- Why would we need tissues? Oh God, it's not going to be another Your Lie in April is it?! I cannot…
Sadly, we've only just got our internet and landlines back after a drunk driver took out our Village's broadband and telephone box....along with a neighbour's hedge, fence and part of their garden rockery (which was all that stopped it going into their house). But as soon as I can watch it I'll let you know. Probably binge it after spending xmas and boxing day with my mother in law who starts every sentence with "I hate you" and reminds me I am a painted pig if I wear make up. *imagine my eyeroll here* lol!

Hopefully it will indeed be happy or I'm liable to be sobbing into my eggnog....especially after trying to chase xmas deliveries with no real cellphone coverage either......honestly, my entire village were wandering around with mobiles like unquiet spirits (like a really sad version of Pokemon Go! For adults)! XD XD

It's a cute light romantic comedy. I like both pairing. An annoying grandma but no way near as bad as k mother's
I think ugly duckling: Perfect match was my most favourite of Push's roles. I LOVED him in it. Lol!

Thank you very much, @Trouble-chan! Oh, I love that quote as well. It's the quotes that leave you thinking and…
Sorry, not replied sooner but we've had no internet. Drunk driver spun off the road, took out large green internet box, my neighbour's hedge, fence and rockery and came thisclose to ending up embedded in their house.....luckily it was single story and it just rested on the roof (it's set down into a hill) but if it was like ours I think they'-d have been giving him breakfast in bed. 0.o

Oh my gosh, it was ridiculous how much I missed my k-dramas and internet connection for general knowledge (I look up so many k-drama things, like food, recipes, clothes and such......) LOL!

I would LOVE to go to Mexico because the Mexican people remind me so much of my own family. My late mum was from the East End of London and a real hugger at all times, and my father is irish and they love hugs almost as they love strong, sweet tea, potatoes and Poitine (pronounced poch-een). It's basically Irish moonshine made from potatoes! Lol! So I love any country that is naturally friendly and huggy. :)

I will definitely let you know....i think i will be crying though from what you've said as I HATE seeing innocent people suffer.

I hope to read more articles from you soon too....yours are SO good!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and I hope 2019 is happy, healthy, successful and prosperous for you. :)

To be fair most mother's don't annoy me now after witnessing the complete fruit loop stalker that was the mother of Irie Naoki in the 2012 Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo!!! I mean I'm bonkers, but even I know her behaviour should've got her sectioned. Lol!

I will definitely give this a go - i do like me some romcoms. That's why Ugly Duckling: Perfect Match and Protect the Boss are my favourites. :)

This movie is sad from beginning to end.
siMONa -- it's a Chinese LGBT+ story, I would be more shocked if it WAS happy. :(

Title Awakening Love Spoiler
because he's more concerned what people will think of him if he admits he's gay. So basically runs away - out…
Yeah, you make a good point - I loathe those endings even more where one or both of the gay couple die.......usually after some terrible trauma to the parents/extended family once they know their child is gay. Just irritates the hell out of me.

I don't think this is a spoiler but you'd be surprised at how many people would shout at me and say it was! lol!

You have to admit it was intense and he pulled it off really well.
It was and he definitely did. I think it was a brilliant way to silence many of his haters who kept saying he couldn't act.....well, clearly he can as he has now proven.

I've been looking for it too! I couldn't find it :((
The drama's only just started but, once it's been going for a few weeks, we might be lucky and it'll pop up on youtube....or someone will let us know. It's just such a beautiful song though, right? :)

Can't wait for this - can anyone tell me the name of the song playing at the end of the trailer? It's really pretty. :)

Reminds me of one of my favorite gateway dramas, "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon." She wasn't really fat either, but…
Just like She was Pretty - no way was she ugly. I should know as the Queen of the Uglies. The Chinese version (Pretty Li Hui Zhen) was worse because the only 'ugly thing was her glasses!

Let's be honest here people. This isn't just a Korean problem. Setting beauty standards and fat shaming is a problem…
Thank you for so succinctly summing it up. My daughter is overweight; she knows it, we all know it and she's taking steps to change it and lose the excess - but she's doing so in a slow and steady way. However, the amount of friends who constantly put her down about it and then say things like "but I'm doing this as a friend....." NO, you're not. However, I can guarantee if she starved herself and lost the weight quickly they'd all be moaning at her for losing it in an unhealthy way; so she can't win. Thank God her best friend is supportive and keeps telling her not to worry; she has anxiety issues already so you can imagine how these constant putdowns make her feel.

Title A Light Year
This is a gay drama from China - the country that has BANNED LGBT+ movies, books, etc. I can't see this ever being released due to that ban, even if it has an unhappy ending the Chinese censors always demand.

I'm always for the underdog - my husband calls me the Patron Saint of Lost Causes. I tell him we're not lost, just taking the scenic route and I'm the tour guide. We'll get to the same place everyone else is rushing to, just a bit slower.

Your quote Socrates is one I hold dear and always remember. Along with another by the great Irish orator, Edmund Burke - "the only way for evil to truly triumph, is for good men to do nothing". Well, I might be an old, crippled woman, but I will most certainly not do nothing if I see someone needing help, support or even just a hug.

I'm a BIG hugger - I genuinely believe there's nothing that can't be fixed with a warm hug, hot cocoa and chocolate. So, like you, I'd have been desperately trying to save Hyeon Moo. I haven't seen it yet, but it will be moving to the top of my (lengthy) to-watch list. Thank you for another amazing article. You really are an amazing writer.
