Got smitten by Tan Jian Ci in Under the Skin, so I was running here to check his other works.
This drama is actually quite okay for those people who can stomach the FL character. The acting is actually on point, but the FL character is that of "doormat". She has this need to be continuously smothered by any male characters near her, and she let them. In all her relationship in the drama, she always let herself cared for, as if she is incapable of standing on her own. I am sure if her superior (Mr. Xu) is not married, she would have been in relationship with him soon after she breaks up with ML. If you like or can stomach this kind of FL character, then by all means check this drama. But if you hate this kind of character, perhaps you can better spend your time elsewhere. Except you come for specific actor/actress, like me.
One thing that I cannot accept in this story: Are there someplace in this world where an intern can be that powerful in a such large company??? I am a working woman, and very much use to intern come and go. Never before in my experience that an intern will be let work in such important project tender without any supervision.

I only looked on clips for Mirror Twin Cities. ..... I cannot say anything about the storyline since I don't follow either the donghua or the novel. But, ....... I need to be honest here, Li Yi Feng is not suitable in playing costume drama. It is not about acting skill anymore. Some male actor just lack the physical necessity to pull off those long hair and ancient costume. I am not trying belittle him as actor, but this is a fact. There are some blessed male actor that looks good in both modern or ancient clothes, but they are far and between.
Li Hong Yi on the other hand, looks very very good in those ancient garb along with long hair. I hope he will have more costume drama. Xiao Se is quite difficult character to be played, according to the characaterization in the novel. Let's see whether Li Hong Yi can pull it off.

Dilireba drama? Is it The Legend of Anle? Well, I think because this is Xianxia with Yang Zi and Cheng Yi, so people have higher expectation, thus more hype.
As much as I love Gong Jun, Cheng Yi is really on the top for xianxia in my opinion. Somehow his face and demeanor are really suitable for this kind of fairy character.

Tried watching this because of Zeng Shun Xi. I have to drop this drama in episode 21. The story is going to direction that I dislike. The SML and SFL are a bunch of shameless people; no depth at all that can make audience empathize. Their way of thinking also somewhat illogical bordering stupid. They also has no self dignity, made me cringe everytime they whine about their failed romance.
Moreover, this drama quality is very questionable. I want to know what kind of scriptwriter and director that allowed this abomination to be produced? Ju Jing Yi acting skill might not be that stellar, but the fact that the director allowed her to act like a modern woman in an ancient setting is telling you something. I can swallow her make up and hairdo (things that lots of people have problem with), but not her behavior as Jiang Bao Ning.
Ju Jing Yi failed in depicting a behavior and attitude befitting a princess in ancient times. Her way of walking, siting, talking, everything was off. And this was very very disturbing. I have tried to endure her acting, but when the story was no longer can hold my interest, I just gave up.
Me, too. The trailer looks very good. A successful career woman and such a cute un-ambitious younger man. I want to know what kind of romance that this drama will show us. Also, I see that Yang Mi and Xu Kai looks very good together.

Giving a drama a low rate just because you cannot understand the language is crazy. At the very least, hold your rating until you can do it justly.
This drama is very political strategy heavy. It will be very hard to understand without good subs, indeed. And if you cannot understand the characters stratagem toward each other, then you will get easily bored with this

Cheng Yi is an experienced older actor. His acting skill is already matured. Comparing him with Xu Kai is silly. Xu Kai is still young and still has lots of room to grow. Even so, in the same age group, Xu Kai is already in the top, acting skill wise. Moreover, Xu Kai is very skillful in depicting a character that both cold and pitiful. This is not easy. Lots of actor failed in this.
I tend to stay away from user who only praising how handsome the ML is or how pretty the FL is. It shows that their comments has no substance and high chance they are watching just because of they are fans of certain actor/actress or even paid to do so.

Sigh ..... I also don't understand why China following the skinny boy trend that I think popularized by KPOP boy band that these days looks more and more like a woman. Those korean aesthetic is one of the reason I stay away from korean drama right now.

As I see it, Xu Kai is not a traffic actor as he has not a big fanbase that can ensure the rating of his drama. So I think he should not have suffered too much from black fans?! I kind of befuddled on where all those black fans come from ...... Does someone feel threaten by him or something?
Yeah, I blame the filter and lighting. Xu Kai jaw is not really visible when he is in white garb of Bai Jue. It gets much better he wears some color in Qing Mu and black later on.
When observing douban rating, I mainly check the comment section. Because black fans seldom engaged in lengthy discussion. Thus usually I derive the true opinion of chinese watcher from there. From the comments, I can also see whether someone only talking trash or he/she truly watch the drama and give honest opinion.
