is our lead a good guy or not a good guy this clip I think is from the very beginning and it's questionable: https://weibo.com/7930087858/5247771137542950A…
I really hope to see him play a character that is maybe a bit of an unreliable narrator. He’s for sure morally ambiguous because he’s going against the law and using unorthodox methods to get to the truth.
Just watched the trailer … and I can’t express how excited I am to watch Luo Yunxi in a dark, suspenseful crime series! This has always been a favorite genre of mine. I’ve been excited for this project since I heard about it. And since I learned that he’s working with some impressive people — both on and off screen!
All I know about Qi Sizhe is that he’s investigating his girlfriend’s death. He takes advantage of the legal system by using some pretty unorthodox methods … and no doubt breaking a few laws along the way.
Hey, that’s me! This drama has been confirmed not to have a romantic love line. There is, however, bromance…
thank you for reaching out! I’d love to check out these posts and get more involved, but I am no longer welcomed by one of your friends and avoid interacting here too much as I don’t wish to make things awkward. I’m glad this has become a better place with fans that appreciate the story for what it is and not what they want it to be.
Btw I love BL ships and my favorite heterosexual ships in cdrama are with a quietly strong & intelligent strategizer…
And I can understand criticism to the plot or writing.I have them too. But I won’t take all this crying over how much of an injustice it was for their ship to turn out the way it did. As if the writers owed this one ship, or this one character, anything. This was never a romance, and they placed too much importance on their relationship going somewhere special. They’re just mad it didn’t turn out the way they wanted it to. But to drag the whole series for it…

That’s their issue.
Because it’ll likely have the makings of queer ships, that’s enough for them to stay away. Cause no, the novel isn’t BL. Just like sly wasn’t. But people are already shipping Li Si with Meng Rui. I guess this bothers some people—cause then they’ll have to share spaces with queer people. I mean, it sure sounds that way to me!
I will watch and recommend to others a romance centric Luo Yunxi and Jelly Lin drama but will definitely avoid…
Well I for one haven’t seen that. Unless you mean them pointing out that his relationships with certain men are more meaningful to tlc than Ah Shui. It doesn’t matter what you think of those characters. It’s just a fact.

And some of these critiques are fine. But ah shui fans are the ones who are always complaining if everyone doesn’t agree with them. I’m not seeing any BL fans shoving their opinions down anyone’s throats.

And, I’m sorry, but tlc’s love for Ah shui isn’t any greater than his love for FZ or LY. It pales in comparison if you’re actually paying attention. No one is obligated to enjoy every het ship shoved down their throat just cause you deem it “canon.” She was a poorly written character, and I found her boring. She isn’t anything special. And people are allowed to feel this way.

Literally all I see are complaints about ah shui and how she was written—as if they had some great love that deserved a better ending (I personally found it fitting). Seems to me that all you people care about is her. And that is why fans are frustrated. It’s all the Jelly Lin fans shitting over the drama cause they were unhappy with what their side character was given.
I think the real problem is, you all put way too much importance on her character. So come at me with some real criticism that extends beyond that. Cause I’m not seeing it.

Even worse is people saying they won’t watch Shadow Punisher cause it’ll have BL undertones. That says it all I think.
Well that drama isn’t for you people if all you care about is romance. And neither was SLY. Yet here you people are, complaining about it when this drama was never labeled as romance. Not our fault Mango pushed CP promotions to trick other viewers into watching.

Heaven forbid we don’t take to a het ship but prefer the male relationships in this drama. At least we aren’t forcing people to like them too? Or claiming they’re canon? I don’t think ah shui was any more important to Tang Lici than FZ of YL, for example. Only reason these people claim ah shui is canon is because het relationships are allowed to be expressed openly. But that doesn’t happen here either. So saying that ship is canon, or any more real, than the others is just their bias speaking.

And also, please stop putting us all into a box. I can appreciate a good het ship too. And I have in the past. But apparently BL ships bother you people.

Just hoping there’s some juicy plot twists!
I freakin’ love these two. Even Ms Hong sees how similar in temperament they are.
They clearly care for each other, yet they refuse to say a single nice word to each other.

Whatever the case, I’m just here for Luo Yunxi.
