I’m sure it’s just wishful thinking. But I really can’t think of a more satisfying twist.
I was actually thinking about Mouse while watching this! I wish we could get a similar twist like that. It’s my dream to see lyx in a similar role. But, yeah, since censorship… 😭
I’m sure it’s just wishful thinking. But I really can’t think of a more satisfying twist.
I have this whole scenario in my head that he’s blacked out what really happened. Perhaps out of guilt. And maybe his mentor is even helping him forget…
In an interview for TTW, Luo Yunxi expressed that a role he’d like to try next is the villain! “If there's a chance, let everyone watch me as the bad guy. That would be great.”
Hope someone gives him that chance. I want that so badly for him (and for me). 🙏🏼😩
Wow. I really applaud, and am surprised, to see a cdrama address a character that has bisex chromosomes (in episode 6). Not sure how that bypassed censorship, but I’m hoping this is a sign of China relaxing when it comes to sexual orientation. I’ll take this small victory.
A part of me is questioning why I’m doing this to myself when I have arachnophobia and the opening was enough…
It does seem like he’s not at all interested in even questioning Qi Sizhe’s theories. He’s so quick to dismiss them as delusions/an emotional response to his trauma. But I guess we’ll see how their relationship develops past episode 3.
It’s so refreshing to see Luo Yunxi in a dark and serious modern drama like this with good directing/writing, and zero romance! I hope he continues down this path and does more interesting modern dramas like this.
As much as I love seeing him in costume dramas, I like to see him in these type of roles too. That’s why I liked him in Broker, despite how shitty the script for that one is.
haha I’m loving the bits where QSZ kept rolling his eyes at Han and I can’t wait to see QSZ in uniform , hawt…
This scene:
Han Feng: Qi Sizhe, you requested to move here, why? Qi Sizhe: What about you, Han Feng? You moved to Narcotics. ...Why?
I’m embarrassed to say this, but I swear I watched that part like 4 times. Why’d he have to say his name like that? Just to drive me crazy?? Well it worked!
Those trailers were creepy as hell and I love that stuff. I don’t even mind that it’s airing at the end of…
Qi Sizhe resents him for ruling his girlfriend’s death an accident. And Han questions why he transferred to this department.
They start working together by the end of episode 2 (once Sizhe is cleared of charges). But they’re definitely going to continue butting heads in future episodes. Personally I enjoy it cause it adds another level of conflict.
The resentment Qi Sizhe has of detective Han. And the distrust Han has of Qi Sizhe…
The tension between these two is delicious. I’m loving it.
But also, on a less serious note, Qi Sizhe is so hot, I keep screaming every time he’s on my screen. I also keep rewinding to watch his scenes. But I guess, for me, that’s nothing new when it comes to watching a lyx series. 😂
Let’s just say I’m very much enjoying this so far. The dark vibes are immaculate. And the cases are very engaging and thrilling.
With the likes of Jiang Qilin and Liu Ya-se strengthening the entire cast, and Zhuang Xuanwei as the main screenwriter…
Also The Victims’ Game on Netflix! That was a very good series. I watched it when I first learned of this series being made to get a feel for his work.
This drama will feature 6 strange cases, and here’s the titles for them:
1️⃣ Lolita Murder Case 2️⃣ Deadly Cone Spider Web 3️⃣ Human Jigsaw Puzzle Mystery 4️⃣ Death Insurance Policy 5️⃣ The Missing Oil Painting 6️⃣ Original Sin
Cases that seem unrelated are all connected to a painful past
(I’m sure I’m way off base.)
I love how this show keeps you guessing. But why am I still wanting/hoping that somehow Qi Sizhe is the mastermind? Is this just wishful thinking? 😭😭
Hope someone gives him that chance. I want that so badly for him (and for me). 🙏🏼😩
