This premise was literally a writing prompt from several years ago. Just found it funny because I had some kids writing short stories with it.

I just started watching this and I seriously couldn't get over how much she reminded me of her. I'm glad that I'm not the only one lol

So I am just curious if I am the only person that is getting major Joe Chen vibes from the female lead?

I would just like to point out a quick point. All of these actors have contracts that they agree to. They also get to have a say of what they are comfortable with. There are many actors/actresses that have eliminated certain things that they will not do. So on that point, if these gentlemen had a problem with showing off their abs they would have nixed it in their contracts.
Also, on a totally different note. Just wondering with all the people that have in issue with it, curious if they have the same issue with going to the beach and seeing all the shirtless guys there?

It is really tragic that anyone feels so hopeless that this is the only solution. I pray her family can find peace.

Unfortunately, yes. It all comes down to the legality of it. Hopefully the courts will look at the extenuating circumstances and will let it go, but I seriously doubt that will happen.

IKR? You would think that with all the crap going on this year they could at least dole out a few more happy endings to give us something to look forward to! LOL.

So if they adapted the ending to the ending of the novel, I do believe this would be the first time in that I would have actually preferred the screenwriters to have some creative leeway. Ironically this would be the one time that they would follow it faithfully.

I love how you said that the ML lacks emotional understanding. I agree with you. Everyone keeps trying to say that he isn't supposed to have any emotions but he betrays that all the time without knowing it. I think that his upbringing taught him to lock down his emotions so much that he never learned to understand about what emotions were what.

So quick disclaimer here, I did not read all of the responses under here because, well there were a ton and I really didn't want to LOl. So if this is addressed by someone else I apologize. Anyway, I just wanted to add a different perspective on your thoughts on his acting. Personally I don't think that it is a screwup on his acting those scenes. I think it is a hint that what people believe about him is incorrect. I don't believe his diagnosis is accurate and that those moments are a hint about it. He himself has been told so often that he is abnormal that he is very self conscious about it and goes the extreme mile to try to appear normal. I think he is very haunted by his past (who wouldn't be unless you were a Psychopath) so he tries to protect those that he loves by telling those that he feels threatened by that he doesn't actually love his wife and child. He proves that he loves both of them several times (protecting the wife without her knowing when things were gonna fall on her, burning the picture his wife instead of taking the time to try to get away). He did those without others knowing. If his diagnosis were correct he would only care to take those steps if someone was watching and he could get credit for it.

So I think that his diagnosis is bogus. There is no way a person with Borderline Personality Disorder would be able to keep up such a good job at taking care of others for that many years without slipping up. I think that because others have told him that he is different and that he was "diagnosed" with it, he is tries really hard to be normal (even in ways that are odd, like the videos). But he has never changed in all of the years with his care for his daughter and how he takes care of his wife, that would be impossible if the diagnosis was accurate. When he is asked if he really loves his wife I think that him saying that he doesn't is a way of protecting her so that they won't try to hurt her to get to him.

I'm sorry, but I have a different perspective on things. If I escaped a past that was as horrible as his was (and was innocent of crimes that others tried to endlessly pin on me), I wouldn't tell anyone of my past either. I don't give a rats ass who you are. If I didn't harm you in any way other than hiding my past, then it is none of your business about my past, unless I feel like I want to tell you. And given the way that he has been treated by those that did know about said past, that would not instill any sort of feeling of desire to share. He has proven to be a good husband and father. I think as a detective you have to be clear on what you are seeing and not get emotional. The fact that she is determined to find out exactly what he did or did not do before jumping to conclusions is what a good detective should do. If she emotionally jumped on the same bandwagon as everyone else then I would lose all respect for her. Now, if he is or is not guilty, she won't have a guilty conscious about how she did her job.

Um, don't know. It still hasn't finished yet. But I hope so.

Ah, I'm sorry. I was confused on what you meant. Well, all I can say is that everyone has their own preferences. I know that there are some that I haven't liked that everyone else was absolutely in love with. I hope you find something more along the lines of what you enjoy :)

Even the synopsis said that she falls in love with the General and it's her sister that becomes the concubine...

I am only on the second episode and I have never wanted to smack the living crap out of someone so bad as I do the FL. Dear Lord, I thought she was supposed to be intelligent. But I don't think she has 2 brain cells to compete with one another. Can someone tell me if it gets any better than this? Because honestly, not sure if I can sit through another 8 episodes.

So did they all switch which souls when they reincarnated?
