It's different and addictive! :)

I have been looking forward to this drama since the day it was announced. I liked the first episode. It was funny. :)

Park Shin Hye's character is anime-like. The girl who never comes out of her house is a funny concept. I love the Flower Boy next door too. LOL. Enrique's lollipop is so reminiscent of Ji Hyuk's lollipop from Shut Up Flower Boy Band. It is nostalgic. :)

Even the way this drama has been shot- the camera work and lighting is similar. Okay enough with the comparisons- I am looking forward to the rest of the drama. I am hooked.

BTW nice to see two of the cast members from Heartstrings back together in a drama. The story seems fresh without much cliche as of now. I want the subs for the 2nd episode out ASAP!

A good episode but still a let-down

I liked this episode. Seung Nyang shined as usual in her usual badass self. What she did with the servants was excellent.

It was good to see the Goryeo king back on his throne. When he fired his corrupt ministers, it reminded me of the beginning. *sigh*

I knew that the time jump was inevitable and coming but I am disappointed with the way things are right now. Ta Hwan is a drunkard and still not married to Seung Nyang. >.<

That's fine but they are turning him into a psycho now.

Either he:

a) Recovers soon, marries Seung Nyang and lives happily

or

b) Marries Seung Nyang but remains a drunkard and dies

Plus now that Maha hates his half-brother, we would be having more sabotaging/poisoning/fighting and rivalries will grow. As if we didn't have enough of it already. -_-

Please, someone shoot the Empress Dowager. I hate her more and more every episode. She has turned into the cliched evil mother-in-law that most Kdramas have.

I want this drama to be as good as it was before. :(

I liked it so much!

This episode was so good! Compared to the Korean and Taiwanese ones this seems so much more sensible. I always thought the story, especially the main girl is so stupid but here she seems so nice. She doesn't come off as annoying and is just like the typical not-so-smart, innocent girl. I am liking Irie-kun also. Glad that his secretive smile is much more visible in this version.

I guess Japanese always do make better versions. So far, awesome! Waiting for the next episode eagerly now. :)

OMG this episode

Right now, everyone just seems out of character to me. I guess they have to keep doing crazy things to keep the viewers interested. -_-

It's my first time watching a long historical drama so this stuff is both repelling and interesting to me.

Maha's parts were boring. They don't need to drag it out so much. The kid wanting to seek revenge is quite far-fetched. The Empress Dowager is the biggest b*tch in the world to have brought up a child with such polluted thoughts. She basically just robbed him of his childhood and innocence.

Wang Yoo being treated that way was heartbreaking for me. :( :(

I always cheer for the underdog- which he is one right now.

I wonder why they are trying to wedge the Emperor & Seung Nyang apart so much. Is it supposed to be about how they'll overcome everything against all odds and such? BTW I REALLY need him to stop drinking. He seems to be developing some sort of a brain disorder though? All those hallucinations are surely a sign of his to-be death. Or just the signs of his over-drinking. I hope he doesn't fall ill and die (which I am sure he would).

The cliffhanger was interesting although I do not think they will let the Emperor kill him off so easily. I want the next episode NOW.

I'm pleasantly surprised!

I had almost next to no plans of watching the sequel to Reply 1997. I loved the first season immensely and it seemed like this wouldn't live upto those expectations.

The first episode proved me very wrong. The characters are likable and the cast is great. The humor seems fresh and the best part is that even though it's different, it still seems to have the charm of its predecessor season. I hope they will keep the mood of the drama consistent.

Luckily I watched this episode after the second one also came out so I watched both of them back to back! It was one of the most hilarious episodes I have seen in a while. Daebak!

Gets more interesting!

The second episode was more interesting than the first one. I am already loving the pair of Se Ryung and Seung Yoo. They look good together. And both their characters are pretty interesting. Seung Yoo has to be my favourite. I want to see what happens after the truth about the princess and Se Ryung comes out. The princess is already showing some grey shades.

Since there are 24 episodes, I am preparing myself for a long journey and I have got a pretty good idea about the future events. Definitely worth watching!

Ooh the drama has started!

I think there will be some sacrifices made in the future episodes. I don't want this drama to become "I love you but if we stay together you'll die so I'll just pretend to hate you" crap.

I am sure there must be some cure to the curse. The ghost seems nice to me rather than a bad one. She's absolutely gorgeous. I have to give her for that. :P

The scene where Doo Rim was leaving was kind of sad. I want to see how Kang Joo will react after he finds out about the real identity of Yi Kyun/Doo Rim.

A predictable yet fun start!

I'd been waiting very impatiently for this drama to start! Now that it has I grabbed the first opportunity I could to watch it. I was really curious to know how this drama was going to be. :D

This review is more like a summary. Pardon me if this seems inconsistent with the story because my Korean's not that great and yet I tried to understand very hard!

Everything in the background is shiny and yet we see Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho) looking out the window with a sad, brooding expression within the first few minutes. Just the beginning we already know how he is unloved in this world. He is surrounded by so many people and yet is lonely. Guess what else I learnt about his character? He loves surfing. ROFL.

Park Shin Hye's character Eun Sang seems to me like a damsel in distress. Yes, her life is sort of sad with a mute mother, a bad job and sister who has been MIA for so long. Still I somehow wished this time Park Shin Hye wouldn't be stuck in the naive, crying girl role but alas! Anyway, she goes alone to California, a completely foreign land in hope to meet her sister. She's looking for her sister but when she reaches the doorstep of the address she has she finds a White woman instead in the house instead of her sister. Now she's in California and has just found how her sister's been lying about her whereabouts. What's worse is that her sister actually seems to be a bad person and takes away all her money upon meeting her! Imagine! Then she breaks down crying in front of everyone (Kim Tan in particular).

Our damaged, lonely-without-a-love-in-the-world Kim Tan empathizes with her and helps her out. Then a couple of comic scenarios take place. The rest is all typical cliche situations. The girl is alone without money so the guy helps her. We've all seen that happen. Kim Tan also has a mean fiancee who already hates Eun Sang so it's safe to guess there will be lots of trouble later. Even the mother-in-law trouble would be there, surely. *sigh*

What's funnier is that Eun Sang gets into stupid trouble and her passport is taken away. So guess what? Now she'll stay in California! Oh la la la! Time for some romance. :P

However, since this is the beginning I'm hoping there will be some good romantic moments on the show. This love story feels a bit different since they both seem like people burdened with grief and will only seek comfort with each other.

The rest of the cast didn't make an impact on me yet. Kim Tan's older brother seems to be cold and very much into his business (I hope there won't be much office politics later on!). Krystal's acting in those two minutes was pretty bad. However I loved Min Hyuk. He looked really handsome. :D

Another thing I want to say is that the American extras are all pretty bad actors. They are all over-acting and Kim Tan's friend is super annoying. He seems to be like a bad American stereotype. Hell! Even the Black cop was a bad stereotype. Everything seems to be badly stereotyped. Lee Min Ho's Engrish was hard to understand at times too. LOL.

Everything in this show reminds me more of 90210 and The OC than Gossip Girl (except Kim Tan's fiancee who reminds me of Blair Waldorf). Right now I can't guess when they'll all go to school. It feels like the summer vacation right now. Please dear writer, do not make Park Shin Hye cry any more! Poor girl.

The preview of the second episode is funny and looks like there's some cheesy romantic moments. Can't wait! :D

A fairly good start

Since I didn't enjoy the movie, I was a bit skeptical about how this drama would turn out. The first episode was very funny and I definitely want to watch what happens next.

The actors are all pretty good. The only thing I am not liking is the apparent age difference between the main lead and Sooyoung. She seems much yonger than him. Ah, well. At least he is a good actor so I won't complain further. I hope there will be some good romance on the show.

Plus Sooyoung is acting so well! I knew she was good judging from bits of her previous drama. I am happy that she got a lead role. :)

I also hope that this drama turns out better than Flower Boy Next Door. I can definitely say this drama already won points for the MUCH BETTER actors it has compared to FBND or Flower Boy Ramyun Shop.

Waiting for ep 2 now. :)

Great episode :)

I really enjoyed the first episode. What I thought after watching it was that it will take some time for the leads to fall for each other. However I must say things seem to be going much faster than expected.

The pace has been great so far but that worries me. I'm not sure how they'll succeed in dragging it out till ep 32. *_*

Anyway, great to see Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae back together! I love them both since My Girl and they have both matured as actors. Lee Dong Wook got hotter and Lee Da Hae seems to be getting prettier as she is aging. :)

As for the plot- it seems interesting but I can see it going down the business genre more towards the middle or end. Or if they run out of ideas soon (as they have already used up quite a few in the first two episodes) this will end as an another makjang. Ah, well.

I already want to shoot the old man Lee Joong Goo. When he was describing the dog, I was like "You raised Cha Jae Wan like that!!". Cha Jae Wan needs to see that his foster father/uncle/guardian has manipulated him all these years. Who knows what the truth really is....

I like watching Cha Jae Wan developing feelings for Ah Mo Nae. It's a bit too soon but hopefully there will be a lot of romance later on? *fingers crossed*

For some reason Seulong's acting is bugging. He isn't that great. He should just stick to singing instead of acting.

Looking forward to ep 3. This drama is addictive. It's the kind I would likely be marathoning. :D

So, so good!!

OMFG! How is this drama so cute? I love that we are getting all cutesy romantic moments between the leads. I am liking Hong Ki more and more.

The characters seem to have no depth and the show seems a bit low budgeted but who cares? As long as they keep the comedy and romance going, I'm happy. :)

I loved watching Kang Joo get jealous in this and the previous episode. It's cute when Doo Rim also gets jealous. Haha. :D The poor 2nd lead guy always has this expression, "Huh?"

BTW I hate Yi Hyun. She's such a bitch like her mother. I want them both to die lol.

I am interested in the curse part and can't wait to see how it plays out. I want to watch Ep 5 NOW!!

This drama is so good!!

Ok, so it's been a while since I've seen a Kdrama romcom and this one falls under the category that happens to be my favorite!!

It has ghosts, supernatural elements, romance and comedy all in one. Kind of reminds me of a darker yet more playful version of Master's Sun.

I spent the entire episode laughing my head off at the romantic scenes between the two leads. That kiss was the best accidental kiss I've ever seen. :P I want more of it and I can feel the chemistry between both actors and it really makes me excited like a fangirl. :D

I actually had no hopes from this show. Since it seems to be getting better, I hope I can expect something from the future episodes.

The cliches are all enjoyable and I am curious about the curse. The ghost looks cool too. :)

Getting better. :)

I really enjoyed this episode. At times the romantic operations seem like they are poking fun at actual romantic notions. LOL. That's pretty clever on the writer's part.

The characters are slowly growing on me. The librarian is so funny! I also liked Byung Hoon better in this episode.

I like that we know so little about every character. That leaves space for a lot of story to be told. Let's see how it will be next week. :)

I'm lovin' it! :D

This second episode exceeded the first one! I find this show hilarious. The jokes are so fresh and funny. :D

Enrique is so cute. LOL. He and Shin Hye make a cute pair together. Can't wait for the second one!

He's baaaaack!

After a dry spell, the action is back. This episode was the best among the last few ones.

Most of all I missed my boy Zai Tian. I was craving the sarcasm and humour. He's back in this episode after all the crying. Why did they have to drag out the PTSD version of him for so long? To make us see his emotional side? Oh, please! The writer made him out to be too complex. I mean: sad past- check, tragedy- check, deceased lover- check, sad present- check, life sucks- double, no triple check. That part is a bit forced. Urgh.

But I will be lying if I said I was totally bored because I was not. The direction is great and it keeps you hooked in spite of slow parts. Even with this little part not being too interesting, I got to watch the amazing acting skills of Vic Zhou. I heard he wasn't that great in his earlier dramas- well, they got to watch this one! He's amazing in it. It must have had been hard to act like that for several episodes that's why the director gave his character a backseat a couple of episodes. Well- he's back ladies, and he's so FINE! (Sorry I'm a Vic fangirl).

I am not liking what they're doing to Chen Lin's character. She was cool in the beginning but now she is reduced to a girl who pines for the guy she can't get and a target for Shen Liang group's nemesis. Her getting attacked and threatened every other episode is getting old.

Ying Xiong isn't half bad. He always has some action going on. He is a bit too uptight for my taste but as long as it keeps the story going, I'm good.

Xi Jing is boring. Does working in the Forensic department mean you have to have your lab coat on during every time? So lame, lol.

The drama is on the later half of the stage now and there's still so many answers to be found. So- I'm here till the end. I want my answers!

-Why the hell is Zai Tian important? Who is he? What is his identity?

-Is the hotdog guy really trustful?

-Who's the bad guy?

-Will Kingone be back? I miss the crazy stoner!

-What is the relation between all those murders?

I'm pulling out my hair in frustration here!
