She's The Man but Make it Chinese
no matter how many times I watch this drama it gets funnier with each watch. Think Amanda Bynes' She's The Man but Chinese Mini-Romance Drama. Finally, they made the girl actually look like a guy. The FLs acting was hilarious and the MLs crisis and ummm... special videos that he was watching was hilarious. Of course it isn't a chinese drama if there isn't at least one CEO, one doctor, borderline questionable sex, and of course a grandchild-obsessed parent. The hilariousness of this drama aside, imagine how traumatic of a life the FL led that she always had to pretend to be a boy. Then her mother fell into a coma and she was shoved into a literal vipers' nest. The grandfather looked so sweet I was shocked that he was behind the mother's "insemination." I use the word very loosely. I am curious as to who the real father of the FL is but I guess that isn't important to the storyline and it is a *short* drama.

Ambiguous Ending
Okay. So I get that he really liked her. That is okay. What isnt okay is that he hid his brother's murder of her entire family. He could have allied himself with her to take down his brother but instead he chose to hide the truth and work opposite her. Perhaps that could have changed their ending. However, prior to all of this he took away her family, job, and personal freedom. Yes, he offered his life for her but it was all a situation that he started. It was nice to see a FL who didnt cave and wasnt weak. She chose revenge and helped another woman find closure and get revenge as well. I love seeing women support other women.
Everyone acted very well. I see people complaining about the lack of chemistry. There wasnt supposed to be. It was a one-sided obsession disguised as love. She didnt like him. She only stayed for revenge. The acting was done very well.
My main issue was with the ending it was ambiguous at best and left hanging for a potential second season at worst. Honestly, i dont think this story needs another season. She got her revenge and moved on.

A lot of Mosquitoes in here...
Okay, I know there was a story line here but woah was everyone good looking here. Also, usually I detest the ex that cheated but this one was so dopey I dont think he fully figured out what was going on even at the end of the show.... In other news I liked how the FL's character was able to handle her own but also confident and trusting enough to let her man handle things for her as well. There was a lot of positive trust and communication here... and bugs. lots of bug bites... they should do something about that...Was this review helpful to you?

Easy, light, and funny watch
Hilarious plot about a girl pretending to be a prince in the palace. Trying his/her very best to not be in the race for thr throne only to accidentally end up front and center in the race. One of my favorite bits from this show is the relationship between the mother and daughter/FL. Prior to the invention of vaccines most children didnt live past 5 so they held no value and the parents didnt get attached to them until they knew they would survive. Generally this was in their teen years and because of age maturity/timing it was also when they got married.Point being: parent and child relationships weren't established well back then so it was nice seeing a Queen/mother who realized it was not her child but took her in and genuinely loved her anyway. Rant done. This was a nice relaxing one.

Storyline felt Off but amazing otherwise
A revenge story where the FL actually took everyone down despite the fact that they ML seemed to be a genuinely nice person. I also liked that she took out the brother as well knowing that he could have saved her father and didnt. Even the reunion with her bio father and brother was done slowly (off camera) and respectful to the father who gave up everything to raise her after he found her. Overall, the drama was done well, however, the end felt a bit unresolved and there were parts of the drama that felt kinda choppy. I usually get mad when the FL ends up with the ML but Lu Dadong did an amazing job making you feel bad for the character and evoking remorse. Great job!Was this review helpful to you?

Good Acting and Chemistry
After her fiance, family, and childhood friend says he wants an open marriage the FL is broken hearted and starts a relationship with the ML who is the fiances best friend. There was a lot of hate on the female leads acting but I found her demure and meek characteristics fit the character here. She has no family and no backing. She's a doctor and earns a salary so she can keep a roof over her head but being able to financially support yourself is not the same as having no living relatives in the world. This leads me to the next bit. Yes, I get why she is reluctant to officially break off the engagement. It has nothing to do with the fiance but to do with his grandfather who took her in when she had no one and nothing. His grandfather is the only family she has. She's emotionally and physically done with the fiance (or ex-fiance at this point). Moving onto the main lead. Liang Si Wei really shone in this character and you feel the chemistry coming off the screen. Many of the scenes felt like he was coaxing a kitten (head and chin scratches) TBH I was surprised there was no cat involved. Overall, a nice fluffy drama without too much green tea and no ridiculous kidnappings. Was this review helpful to you?
Great Pairing
I know these two leads are together in real life but they're in A LOT of shows together and eventually it becomes a mush of the same plot lines and tropes and the same two faces. Yes, they have good chemistry but again, they are together in real life so that is kinda expected. That being said I really liked them in this drama. I liked how unconventional the storyline is and how they pair up in this specific drama. I get where the father is coming from but the daughter deserves happiness just as much. I want to write hoping to see them in another drama together but I think we've seen the two of them in enough dramas together. Give someone else a shot. Was this review helpful to you?

Chemistry was there but not the script
Okay so he was obssesed with her because she was *not* obsessed with him. I think he was so intense with her because she was pushing him away and he was panicking. Someone once said "trust is the only currency in a relationship..." subconsciously he knew she was hiding something and he was scared he was going to lose her over it.While I dont appreciate the overuse/misuse of mental health disorders in chinese media they didnt butcher it entirely. That being said it would be nice if they put out more positive mental health aspects in shows.
Also, the actors/actresses did a really good job consindering how lacking the script was. Ive seen other better written out versions but the actors didnt have half as much chemistry as these two. Hope to see them together in another drama!

Overall Pretty Good
An oddly good pairing Wang Kaimu and Wu Chunyi. While the amnesia trope is overdone, it was more realistic of the amnesia storylines. There's only so much a person will believe when you tell them they forgot all their memories and they are married to you. I felt bad for the brother. He was a product of a toxic environment and really did love his brother. His facial expression were done really well. He's definitely going to be big!Overall, I enjoyed it but the storyline was missing something that set it apart from all other tropish shorts. Second, the FL was missing a little bit of chemistry and individual flair. She seems new to the industry so I believe she will get better! Good look Wu Chunyi!

While the ML and FL did a great job acting and had GREAT chemistry the show overall was missing something. I mean I've seen these tropes a thousand times. There wasnt anything unique about the actual storyline to set it apart from all the other micro dramas. Its definitely enjoyable if you want to sit and relax and watch fluffiness. This show is a perfect example of what a good cast, director, script, and staff can do. An undercover cop saves a girl with a gambling dad. She eventually becomes a journalist and finds him again. The story sounds simple enough but with absolutely phenomenal chemistry, acting, and directing it turned it into a masterpiece. I'm not negating the script. It was a good script but I've seen plenty of good scripts butchered by terrible acting or good actors that have been in so many roles together it's boring to watching them.Do I think the dad got off easy? Yes.
Did I really want to see a wedding? Yes.
Would I watch another season of this? Hell yes.

Great Show! (And best version of it)
A sister series to Summer Rose this chemistry-packed series is a pile of misunderstandings packed on top of a ML who was too immature (re:scared) to actually speak to the woman he loved. Rather, he chose to run and hide and stay married rather than possibly lose her (to his brother.) Honestly, this series makes you hate the parents whereas Summer Rose makes you love them. It proves the point that no two children have the same experience growing up even if they have the same parents/privilege. What his family did was cruel to him. In order not to repeat the same mistake of his criminal uncle, they essentially ruined his life. They wouldn't let him go into economics because they didnt want him to threaten his perfect older brother's position. He had to physically leave the continent and go to another country to make a company and name for himself. Wang Gege never disappoints and I'm happy the grandmother never saw her forgiveness. She didnt deserve it. She lied about her parents death and then covered it up using guilt as an excuse to foster her. She was in an orphanage! Either way, well-written, directed, and acted on all of the actors and actresses parts. I did like that she wore normal doctor clothes. No doctor doing rounds is wearing Louboutins. They wear sneakers or crox or hokas.Does anyone have the friends name? She did an amazing job!

A masterpiece and a Guide to Growing Up
This is a drama that wholly represents growing up and ""adulting."" The grandma's death so early on in the show was a shock but a good stepping stone for their relationship. I love how the ML gives the FL room to grow while also being supportive. Wang GeGe always chooses roles that have good social impact and are emotional-heavy. She excels at them. Only He Jian Qi could make you feel so broken hearted for a character losing his grandmother within the first 20 minutes of the show (still not over the scene of him eating the dumplings from a previous drama.) Together their chemistry is absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed the plot and the reassurance that long distance relationships can be okay. The message seemed a little heavy as if it was trying to promote long distance relationships, perhaps the birth rate is down? idk i dont live in China and have very limited knowledge to what social challenges they have going on other than Zhang Linghe but to be honest, he is a global icon. Was this review helpful to you?

Absolutely Hilarious
Drama Name: Sister HeistRating: 9
Year/Genre: 2025 Comedy
ML: Wang Hao Zen
FL: Wang Ge Ge
ML: Wu Zhu Xi
FL: Cui Yi Liang
Review:
This is possibly the funniest chinese vertical drama that I have ever seen. The story centers around two best friends who get sucked into a book. The sisters fall in love with the MLs only to be abandoned and then die in the wilderness. Determined not to die like in the book the duo decide to ditch the boys first by running away (multiple times) and taking the boys money with them. They even corrupt the grandma towards the end! Its hilarious, heart warming, and a great repeat watch! Ive never seen Wang Hao Zen and Wang Ge Ge doing comedy so this was a great surprise. Only thing that could make it better is a blooper reel and a second movie.

Overall Great Production, directing, and acting
In an escape from a political marriage a chaebol escapes to Macao where she is trying to find her father's illegitimate son who wants to take over her spot as heir. She meets an enforcer of the casinos and becomes entangled in each other's mess. The chemistry is off the charts and the writing and directing was done VERY well. I love how forward and sharp the FL is. She came for a purpose and she got it.Was this review helpful to you?
