I'm not ready to see Arthit get hit on at work, however, I'm very excited to finally watch this after the long wait. I have very mixed feelings right now, haha.

Why didn't you just keep it short. Smile. Laters. But again I loved Sotus, Addicted, and 2 Moons. Oh I forgot…
I'm currently stuck taking university-level English and college-level psychology so that may be why. My mind acts as if it is constantly writing papers.

Well, no one has rated the show since my comment was made. Perhaps, we can't make people stop doing it, but we can reason with them and explain the downsides of what they do. A better way to show support would be to go on the show's/cast members' official social media pages and leave kind messages. The people working on Sotus don't look at MyDramaList ratings because there are people paid to gather statistics elsewhere.

If you truly understand what I'm saying, please tell me what it is. You have not made any reference to my point at all and only mention your excitement.

It's hard to fully articulate a point using only a short reply. Sadly, I believe there's a slight communication barrier, so no matter how much I try to express my thoughts, you won't really understand what I'm getting at.

That's why you keep the faith. Everyone did an excellent job in the first series. I believe they will do an even…
I'm not saying you shouldn't be excited about it. I'm saying people shouldn't overhype shows. Many shows have been overhyped (eg. Sotus, Heroin/Addicted, 2 Moons, etc.) and because of it, many people dislike those shows. Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily find any of the shows I listed to be bad, but because fans talked about the shows highly so often, new viewers had even higher expectations. And when expectations are TOO high, you can only be disappointed. If everyone goes in expecting a good show and gets a good show in return, all is good. But with 10/10 reviews and non-stop praise for a show that isn't even out yet? That's not good. So go ahead and say that you're excited about the show, but don't go around telling people it's the best show ever when you haven't even seen it. That's what I was trying to say.

Why are people rating this show already? I mean, I love Sotus, but sometimes second seasons aren't as good as the first. We may be completely disappointed or absolutely amazed. There's no way of knowing yet so don't set any expectations for it now. The problem with the first season was that it was overhyped. Everyone talked about it as if it was the best show in existence (which it may be in some of your opinions), but that led new viewers to go into the show with high expectations. And yeah, it was a good show, but they expected more and were, therefore, let down. And when a show lets you down, you grow to dislike it. I wouldn't want to see a similar thing happen with the second season.

This is the first time I've ever rated a series 10/10. There were many cliches, yes, but I think the actors executed it all so nicely that it was believable. Besides, cliches aren't always a bad thing. People dislike them because they're seen so often, but when done right, I think it's fine.

I didn't like Murong Li in this season since he killed one of the characters I liked and indirectly killed another (Gongsun Qian and Qi Zhi Kan). I liked Zhong Kun Yi but then he killed his king so I'm unsure about him. Right now, my favourite character is Zhi Ming. He has the purest of intents and only wants to please Murong Li. Hopefully, in the second season (I'm just starting it now), Murong Li will see some serious character change and won't hurt Zhi Ming. I'm actually kind of torn. I don't know if I want Murong Li to pay for all of the death he caused, or if I want him to live to keep Zhi Ming happy.

not to mention this is literally incest lmfaooooo y'all are weird
I don't think you understand everything I said. I wasn't talking about southern America where there are many cases of incest, but the general laws and culture of all of the west. The laws of many western countries state that relationships between step siblings is not considered incest, The exceptions being the US which prohibits relationships between step siblings in some states. Anyways, I was not trying to see both sides. In fact, I have a very strong opinion on incestuous relationships. However, as I previously mentioned, frame of references won't just change. The point of my comment was to tell you that you won't be able to change what other people believe is acceptable. And as for your "incest is psychologically unhealthy and abusive" statement, I agree. No one was disagreeing with you on that. What was being brought into question was not whether incest was bad, but if relationships between step siblings counted as incest. By definition, they don't, but I explained that they can have the same effect as incest in certain circumstances. Maybe you should reread my original comment because I was mostly agreeing with you.

so is no one gonna mention the gross kidnapping + sexual assault scene ?? not surprised since y'all nut over…
I definitely agree with you on this. The relationship was extremely unhealthy and is apparently even more so in the novel. Abuse is never good and this series romanticised it.

This is a controversial topic. You both have good points and neither of you are wrong, but it really comes down to one's frame of reference. In many cultures, but not all, relationships between step siblings is considered incestual and sometimes even illegal. However, if someone grew up in a culture where it's accepted, you won't be able to change their opinion on that. Now, I'm assuming you're a Westerner so I'm going to reference Western culture from this point on. If two people became step siblings while they were in their late teens to adulthood, it's not considered incest as they did not spend much time together as siblings. If the step siblings were raised in the same house and currently live together as a family, it still isn't considered incest by definition, but is a bad idea. It's not only seen as strange, but can cause problems with the family if they one day break up.
Whether something is considered incest or "morally wrong" is opinionated. Humans created morals. Humans decided for themselves that relationships between relatives were wrong (the reason being that it caused issues with genetics). When the issue of genetics is no longer there, it's up to the individual to decide whether a relationship goes against their idea of what's healthy. You grew up to believe that step siblings shouldn't begin romantic relations with each other. That's your frame of reference and it most likely won't change. But neither will the people's who believe relationships between step siblings is acceptable.
