I take your word for it. :D
I will definitely give it a try, as I said,if for nothing else for Gong Yoo, whose acting has always been very convincing.
I agree that fantasy has to follow a logic path too, ot it becomes a mere pot-pourri of supernatural elements all thrown in without a plan. This is one of the reason why I can live with My Girl but I will never forgive My Girlfriend is a Gumiho for being so utterly stupid.
Sorry, these sisters truly draw out the worst in me, lol

Yes, I suppose the sisters are good in... redoing the original plots of others. I have seen both american movies: Overboard with an incredibly funny Goldie Hawn (I love this actress because she can laugh about herself) and Big with Tom hanks, who's a guarantee whatever he plays in.
I'm not exactly eager to see an elongated version of a movie though. My problem with the hongs is not the plots (original or not, they are entertaining), but with their dialogues, which are ALWAYS so lame, my 7 year old niece would do better, and with their humour, slapstick at best. I am convinced, if you take away the eye candy actors they always use for every hongs drama, we are left with basically nothing. My dislike of them is fuelled by the general raving and overrating of them around the web.

I want to watch The Bride Mask and I do I do, but to be honest I'm not eager to watch them while airing. Airing dramas are double edged swords: the wait enhances the pleasure when they are great, and kills all the enthusiasm when they are so-so.I'd rather wait until they are over - or almost so - before embarking in the ride. ;)
I've written a review of akai-ito, by the way. You know I'm a bit of a maniac of reviews, lol.
I'd also like to watch Big, but only because of Gong Yoo. I hate the Hong sisters with passion, so if I start that one it's going to be solely for the actor.
What are you watching? :D

I'm innerly debating about this drama (Akai Ito): it could be a terrific story, but it's as though they were trying too hard, ending up satisfying no... narrative thread.
I'll write a review soon - when I've finished watching, that is. :)

Adventure nr.1: went to pay a short visit to old friends in Austria. Had a great time, getting drunk O_O, laughing like crazy, barbecueing and in general acting silly. It was great and exactly what I needed. :D
Adventure nr.2: I met my mom's new love interest (p.s., my mom is 70). It's a long story, but to cut it short, they are in love like two teenagers - isn't it romantic? They write each other love letters (he lives about 200 Km from here), he sends flowers and soon they are going to spend a holiday together somewhere. lol Love them. :D
Adventure nr.3: my translation is due in 7 days and I'm still at large... which means in a couple of days I'll become my crazy version: no sleep, no play, no dramas, circled eyes and my hair all over the place. I'll be a vision!
My life's a big adventure... :P:P
How about you my dear? :)

Ha!... a drama you've dropped: King2Hearts.
I think it's better if I don't launch into a detailed description of how much I loved it, lol. :p

Hi Star, it's nice to read you! :)
Please forgive this lazy woman!!! I truly wanted to finally get into the story of TPM when I got distracted by a drama and, being the monogamist I am, I ended up putting everything else on hold. Right now I'm recuperating from the heartbeat and heartbreak and also need some time to work, lol. But Bride Mask is my top priority for sure, I haven't even watched 5 minutes but something tells me I will love it. I love the period too and am much more informed about contemporary history than ancient one. However, I haven't forgotten. Be patient with me, you'll be a grandmother when I finally can say something about my first Saeguk. ;);)

I'm a bit of a monogamist too: whan I watch a good drama and it involves me mind and heart, I can't really start another, and if I do, I'm usually too distracted by the first to truly appreciate it.
The Bride Mask is on top of my to watch list right now. I'm waiting for it to have more episodes to immerse in. :)

By the way, crazy, you have clearly infected me with your love for LSG. Grrrrrrrr. ;);) As if I needed another obsession!!!! With an actor who has acted in 6 dramas, half of which I don't like one bit, in 2 he's a guest and another has got 80 episodes... :P And isn't he enlisting soon too?
Really, how could you??? ;);)

K2H is one of those dramas that you either love to the point of madness (see me), or you don't care for the setting and drop it before it's too late, lol.
As I said, Gong Yoo is one of my favourite Korean actors, but I can't say I'm a fan of the Hong Sister's dramas (actually, I kindly detest them), so for me this is going to be a battle between hormones (the actor) and neurones (the writers). ;);)

I have never watched one. On DC there's a contact of mine who recommended a few, but my list of to watch is already so long it will take me an eternity, if I add lakorns... I've heard they are pretty "passionate". Do you watch many? :)

Thank you crazy!! It's nice to read you again, I haven't seen you in a while (not that I have been the most present myself). Is your picture the poster of a Lakorn? :D

I'm currently watching an older Japanese drama called Akai Ito. I have had it on hold for a very long time, but lately I lost a bet and the winner told me to pick it up again, LOL. It's a sweet story, I like it very much so far. I think I'll have to stay away from Korean dramas for a while, as my heart is exhausted after beating and bleeding for King2Hearts. ;)
I will give Big a try when it's over, so that if I like it I can marathon and if I don't, drop it at once, hehe.
P.S. I like Gong Yoo too, he's the reason why I will try it out. ;)

Hahaha, that would be a splendid idea, and rest assured I would be your first fan-reader!! :D
I have been fighting a lost cause for quite some time now, and came out exhausted from it. You may have noticed (or not) that I try to be objective when I write a review: obviously perfect objectivity does not exist, but I maintain it's only fair to give good marks to a good drama even when we didn't like it, and it's just as unfair to rave about something which is mediocre just because we loved it. I am convinced there are criteria out there to be used when judging any work of art, we can't only go by personal taste, or everything becomes a masterpiece and nothing deserves it.
But what do you reply to someone who tells you: "don't care, I loved it, period"?

Good morning to you! :) My trip was actually lovely, and it served its purpose of bringing me back to the real world for a while. I'm not watching any drama right now, I don't seem to be in the mood for anything, so my last Inhyun's episode was the 12th! I never thought it was a masterpiece: its charm was in the fresh and breezy way in which these two interacted, I thought the rest was ok, nothing more.
Fangirls can be very scary. Not long ago I made the mistake of confessing that I'm annoyed by the constant raving about dramas which are barely decent, and I ended up offending half of the thread and apologizing, lol.

I changed my picture, you are right it was too sad, not fit for my present sparkling mood. :D
A big hug, my friend. ;)

Hmm, not as many as I would like to. I have a true weakness for Asia, so every time I have the time and the means to travel overseas, I choose a South East Asian country.
I have visited many European countries, North Africa and Australia, but never the States - shame on me. :D They are in my list, of course, but when the time comes my spirit invariably flies towards the East.
Yes, I understand why you want to wait a little before embarking on a long journey with your daughter. Italy has a lot historical and artistic to offer, while children usually prefer to play in the sand, regardless where, hehe. :)
Oh, and when you decide to fly, here's my little suggestion: drink red wine! It works better than sleeping drugs and the like and it's definitely healthier. ;)
