I live between Milan and Verona, in the lake area, quite far from Calabria. :) Have you been to Italy before? I read you are afraid of flying: I'm too, but I guess my desire to visit places is stronger, so I take planes although it's a frightening experience every time.
I can imagine it's not easy to find an Italian tutor, since this language is not widely spoken outside our country. :)

I have been thrice in Bali, twice in Sumatra, once in Java, Flores and Lombok. I never visited Bandung but I know of it, it's a very big city and quite famous I've heard. :) I may be wrong, but I think the new age group Asiabeat dedicated a piece to Bandung. When in Java, I tried to stay away from big cities, visited Prambanan and Borobudur temple and enjoyed the lush nature, an amazing experience. Naturally I don't know all cities in your huge country, but I hope I can say it's one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen without sounding mushy. ;)

Hahahahaha. I think by now we know what we both hate the most: stupid females. Give me a drama with a decent female, some pathos, not toooooooooo fluffy a romance (I need some passion beyond eating icecream and buying stuffed animals) and even if the plot's not really to my taste, I will not hate it. ;)

LOL, thank you for being one of the few who appreciated it. Honestly, it gets worse! At least in the beginning there's some humour and the plot has a sense, but as soon as he confesses he likes her, it's a descent into stale cheese. I know I was a little too heated in my review, but I couldn't help it. Believe me, I reassessed Playful Kiss after this.
And I also wanted to write you because after reading your review I'm going to pick up Love Rain, which I had put in my plan to watch list just because it was there, lol. Now I am a lot more encouraged to watch it. :D

Hello my friend, please forgive me for the prolongued silence. You must have thought your last post left me speechless - which in a way it's true, lol.
I love what you wrote about the logical aspect of Polish. I've had an interesting discussion about this with a friend not long ago, about how people in general consider English an easy language to learn if compared to inflected languages like German, or Latin derived ones like French. Apart from the obvious - i.e. the mother tongue of the person who learns - I told her that I find inflected language easier in general terms, because they are very logically structured. Once the first, big wall is climbed, the rest is easier. English on the other hand, gets complicated on going, like an ever ascending path.

No, she's not typical at all. I've loved her from the start and I still do. I also love Boong Du, of course: he's a simply great character with everything to like.
But like you said, if one scrapes under the surface, I'm not sure there is much substance. The surface for me was that incredible amount of electricity which these two created when together. But since he came back after losing his memory they have been quite heavy on the cute and I'm not a fan of cute, I find it... deflating. LOL
I'm a little difficult to please lately, as you may have noticed. ;)

Wow, so you're Polish! :D When I studied at University (I graduated in Linguistic and majored in German and English literature), we had the most interesting and exciting lessons about the Slav languages, Polish included, how the words retain their roots while being so open to foreign words and how people speaking Slav as their mother language are quicker in learning Italian, German, French and in general Latin derived idioms. Not that I learned Slav, but we had a lot of comparative linguistic and I think one of our teacher was a bit of a great fan of them. ;)
Forgive the digression, you should never mention the word languages with me unless you want to see me go off on a tangent, lol.
What are you studying? Do you speak Japanese?

Nonono, I don't speak Arab and my knowledge of Japanese can be compared to a 2 year old child who tries to say "sfortunatamente". :P I'm working on it, though. ;)

If I had to enlist my favourite languages per reason, it'd look like this:
British English - sexy as hell, even when posh
German - romantic (oh, I know this sounds strange. But imagine a 17 year old you and a good looking young Austrian declaring his love to you citing Herman Hesse, and you'd probably agree with me the language is incredibly romantic)
Japanese - profound and thought-provoking
Arab - thrilling and poetic

I know I should list French too, since my husband is French and having him whisper French silliness in my ears is a truly erotic experience, lol, but French isn't a language I really like, except from that particular speaker of it, hahaha.

This said, you didn't sound defensive at all: you sounded moderate and poised, which made me feel, like you say, like a teenager throwing a tantrum. Hahahaha

I have noted down "Thank You". It sounds interesting and if both you and Nina like it, then I consider it a guarantee. Thanks for suggesting it. :) Perhaps not at once though, because I simply need something a little lighter, or completely different in style and emotion than good Korean dramas. :)

Lol, sorry, I must have sounded just a little heated in my comment. I should always take at least a couple of deep breaths before talking about dramas I dislike, because they have the power to make the worst side of me emerge with a passion.
You are very right: rom-coms are either hit or miss, there seldom is a middle measure. I did like my share of silly things, mind you, among others 99 Boku To Star etc., which is objectively a light watch with little substance and little plausibility, but I truly liked it a lot. So, far from me to play the intellectual who only likes intelligent stuff, hahaha.
But I'd lie if I say I'm not annoyed by some rom-coms being so raved about as if they were masterpieces. I know, it's none of my business, I should just live and let live, as they say. But, well... I can't help it. :P

Not only I miss my Wednesday drama obsession, I also miss our weekly exchange of suffering and heartbeat, lol.
I have reduced considerably my time on the computer for now, because I must concentrate on my translation, which is quite complicated this time (it's about two surgeons, with lots of technicalities). As I confessed to Bladey, because of my current crush on Lee Seung Gi I have tried to watch some more episodes of Gumiho, but that drama is beyond stupid. Sorry, lol, I'm always so heated in my dislikes, I forget others can be offended by a different taste.
This said, I think I'm going to turn to Japan for a while. It usually works wonders on my heart newly broken by a drama. :D
How about you? Working on your thesis?

Also, I am losing a little interest in Inhyun's Man too. There's a lot of electricity going on between the leads, and this is what attracted me in the first place, but after a while electricity tends to naturally fade and leaves one with a plot which is not solid enough to sustain the weight of the whole show, imo. But because it's short and fast paced, it doesn't seem like wasting my time on hours and hours of nothingness, lol. So, I think I know why you don't get into it, and I can't really blame you. :)
I am considering turning to Japanese for a while.
What are your plans, drama-wise? :)
