Luo Yunxi in one of his interviews: (The question was which dramas of his are coming soon) It should be Broker,…
I think LYX just said his shows in the order he has filmed them. I don't think he meant that they are coming...

It wasn't about woh. The rules changed at the beginning of 2021. It was already announced in 2020.
No, apparently before they only had to submit the script and it could only be a part of it but now it has to be the whole thing. I don't know how much more severe it has gotten.

I'm not sure if what you're saying is correct, though?
WOH submitted their script earlier so they passed sooner. If other shows had submitted their scripts before the new year, they would have passed more easily as well.
As for adding female characters and heavier censorship, there were actually 4 bl adaptations in 2020 and they either gender-bend one of the characters or added new female leads and because of that, no one watched them. (The only good/successful one was Winter Begonia) so that was a practice before now as well.
The only difference between recent adaptations and those older ones is that after Guardian and The Untamed, creators realized there was a way to adapt these without the addition of female characters and that's what's so special about the recent batch of shows. WOH, HYX, SPL, SY and so on are all like that.
I think the regulations committee is fully aware of the new interest in the genre so they took repercussions. The fact that woh came before all the new regulations, was completely incidental.
If you meant that now we've had WOH, so now we won't be satisfied with these less relaxed productions, then I would say not to worry. I think they know why the fans show up so they will definitely put a lot of candy in the shows for everyone! :D

I'm this close to having a Victorian-woman-style hysterical meltdown if this show doesn't air soon!

I had to commemorate this moment, because this is the first time I have seen the music match the movement of hands on an instrument in a Chinese show!

And to be fair, the trending is mostly disappointment in the cast selection.Yes, they’re all good looking and…
Oh, it makes sense, kind of? I mean this project comes with a massive fanbase so they probably thought it doesn't matter if they cast idols because people would watch anyway.
It'll be a pity though. WOH proved to me that casting actors over idols can really impact the quality of a show so I was hoping they'd do the same with this. Oh well. Now we have to wait and see if it's confirmed and then how the final product will turn out.

No. It's a silly lie which can easily be debunked once you see that the show and its concert are still legally…
If you want reliable news, "Marcus Here!" and "AvenueX" on Youtube are two of the more reliable channels to get your news from.
I don't really follow cdrama land news either but if you're interested to learn about the atmosphere of fandom in China, AvenueX's video's are very telling. She both talks about it and also reflects a lot of the opinions herself. She has an entire video in which she talks about how reviewers tried to start a "bl battle 2021" thing for hype and other reasons which I think is also reflected in the rumors we get as well.

When the little brother showed up and said to his mother: you've used Lingyi as both your warhorse and a stud stallion for years. Don't you think he deserves to have some control over his own life? please stop whoring him out to insane, murderous concubines and let him live his life.

is it true that after WOH and specially their concert, authorities in china are now more strict on BL contents?…
No. It's a silly lie which can easily be debunked once you see that the show and its concert are still legally available on Chinese platforms. If the authorities are that upset by the show, they would start by banning it first.
These rumors are made by anti-fans who are trying to start drama between fandoms of different bl adaptations. This helps them create a clout for fame but also creates a horn effect around bl adaptations that will ultimately harm ALL of these stories. I suggest you ignore these and if you ever see someone spread them, shut them down immediately (not rudely, just politely!).

Same. The book itself mentioned that Hua Cheng has a widow's peak that makes him look older and very refined.
This is why my fancast is Song Wei Long if I only count looks and not acting skills. He is actually very young but he also has certain features that make him look both young and older at once so facial-wise, he would be great. Acting wise...I'm not sure!
And I know the plots of most danmei (and actually cnovels generally) always have really young people with very exceptional lives but I find that whole thing a bit superficial and a bit ageist. I don't think it's really preserving the integrity of the novel to uphold those young ages. Especially with complex characters, I prefer people with good acting skills rather than beautiful faces or young ages to get the roles. And I know this is a very unpopular opinion and that people seem to love baby face actors.
Anyway, I think in this case the best of both worlds would be casting an actor in his early 20s with good skills who can pull off both a 17yo and a more mature Hua Cheng at once. I just don't know enough chinese actors, to specifically point to one person and say, "This guy! He can do it!"

I was the only one who wanted at least once not to put on actors who have a baby face? Especially in Hua Cheng.
