The siblings are very loyal and supportive towards each other. Their father is a neglectful parent though. Most of the conflict comes from outside sources. There's all that stuff though: divorce, cheating spouses, unhappy relationships.

Yeah. It doesn't sit well with me that the only character who got a bad ending was gay and it was such an illogical ending too. I struggled to finish the show after that.

Wtf was that ending to Han Yang's arc?! Why would the police lay a trap like that?! Also giving someone drug so you can arrest them seems very unethical. That was such an annoying twist at the end of a good show.

I remember that rumor but it died down after a while so I assumed it was fake. The fact that chan ka lam has quit is also an old rumor. It might be true or fake. Only time will tell.

The untamed was good for its circumstances but I have since learned a bit more about framing, cinematography, and scene-set that revealed some rookie mistakes in the directing. They don't redact from my love for the show at all but that doesn't mean they weren't issues. Now given hob is an expensive massive production, then it wouldn't hurt if these technical issues could also be improved. Chan Ka Lam is an enthusiastic and okay director but losing him is not necessarily a death sentence for the show.

It has never worked before but governments like to try these techniques anyway.

To be honest, tu's directing could've been better so that is not a terrible thing on its own. I hope the production will proceed soon. I was very skeptical but it feels like this show's survival can have historical impact and I'm rooting for them.

I have a few people I trust with info and one of them explained to me that the show will def stay on shelf for maybe a year or two but it doesn't necessarily mean it won't air.
It seems chinese production teams like tencent are used to these policy changes. Some get backtracked. We should just relax and see what happens.

Anyway, I was just visiting here to say that I think this show shouldn't be too worried? It already has a het romance line and with some ambiguity, they can get away with it. Especially if they go for a tragic ending (which I wouldn't mind 100% if it means the show will air....)

No, the 16yo was meant to marry a 6yo. The problem was that the emperor was too young for her! So they got a 13yo crown prince to balance the age difference but really they were tricking Cui family. Also (before someone point out the obvious) she was meant to the the crown princess but the Emperor’s sudden death meant she would become empress and that was not sth the empress dowager's faction wanted so they just had her engaged to the new crown prince.

That was until the child died with no heirs. Then it was open season, so to speak.
The court have the ability to upset the succssion line and that actually happens in the show, more than once. Anyway, my question was not about who is next in line, and I know the child is a puppet so it's convenient for evil regents. I meant why was no one interested in putting him on the throne at all. Logically speaking, just one person should’ve been into it.
