Meanwhile: "Disney Korea’s OTT Content Team Disbanded, 2024 K-Drama Lineup at Risk of Cancellation" https://kbizoom.com/disney-koreas-ott-content-team-disbanded-2024-k-drama-lineup-at-risk-of-cancellation/
"However, Disney Plus has not yielded satisfactory results in proportion to the investment made." - maybe because they still haven't released some of their dramas worldwide, like Revenant... but it's interesting, that amidst the actors/screenwriters strike in US they decided tk abandon their korean content right now. Makes sense that it's not bringing them major money, but doesn't make sense that they never even gave a proper try to market kdramas.

I agree with everything you said but I'm waiting for the inevitable person to tell you to go watch a teen romance…

People who failed to understand why joo won broke a wall instead of a door, failed to understand his character
I see no reason why breaking the door would be out of his character...

Ehhh... I am already disappointed if you haven't read my opinion. If they make show about adults, please explain to me why for 1/3 of the show the teenagers are the main leads. Why not let the adults be the leads from the beginning and make everybody confused. That's my exact point - the shift of focus was too abrupt and too long.

Omg thank you, it's much easier to kick in a door than break down a wall, that looked cool but made absolutely…
I thought the wall would be made from carton/wood or sth easy to break, bot no, he went for solid bricks ><

I know I'm getting dragged for saying this but I still have problems with the plotting. We had seven episodes…
Agreed. I feel like from last week I've been watching stand-alone 2ep movies, which are fine I guess, it's similar to what Marvel does, but it's not a movie collection, it's a series. If at least half of this eps was actual work in the agency or sth, maybe I would be bothered less. But as you said, those flashbacks within flashbacks are too much, they try to bring tension into these episodes, but in my eyes, fail to do so. The tension and high stakes are in the present and those episodes do not bring anything new to the table. Also the love story feels out of place, as if to give us at least some romance instead of bringing the rest of the characters in.

I feel like it's a completely different story from the teenagers' one, and no matter how many people say 'it was the parents story from the beggining', it just doesn't make sense to me. If it's about parents, make it about parents from the beginning, why confuse us and leave us hanging out here dry for 4 weeks straight.

I'm gonna throw myself under the bus here, but these 2 eps were ok, but nothing special. I feel it was very unnecesary to focus once again on a love story that this time we know definitely will not come back (also the chemistry was meh...) I thought that at least these 2 episodes will focus on working within the agency, to give us more understanding of it but no. They basically give no further insight to the conflict in the present time. I think we learnt very little new things about the ML - we already knew from the present that he's invincible, and that he will give up anything for his loved ones. Sure it was nice to see him as this big softie. But in terms of plot, these episodes were nothing new or groundbreaking. I think they could have just been condensed to half an episode and then the rest show us the actual work within the agency, which we have barely seen at this point.

Before I get comments like 'don't watch if you don't like it' - I LOVED the present part. Not only the teenagers, but their relationships with the parents. So I'm waiting for that. These episodes were ok, not bad, they do not make me want to drop this show, but make me much less excited for what's to come. I just don't feel any depth in those 2-eps mini stories when we get very little character development that we already didn't know of.

idk both Heroes and Lost were both essentially structured in a similar way, they'd focus on certain characters…
If the kids would be in the background at least, I would be happy. I remember the case of The Walking Dead, where in the latter seasons they split the main team into different locations and then decided to do 3-5 episodes 'story arcs' where only one location appears. It led to the fans waiting for weeks until their favourite character comes back on screen. It was a universally hated decision.

Oh no... Then I feel like they should have just made the drama 16 eps about adults in the past, and then the next season about adults+kids. That way we have some tension in both timelines...

How am I wrong that people are attached to the kids, if I'm one of those people? I didn't watch trailers, or interviews, I just watched the show and while I understand that initial premise (first 1-2 eps) could be about one thing and then it turns to be about completely other thing, it was 7 eps. How could I suspect that it will change completely after those 7 eps, am I obliged to read the webtoon?

Also about kids' romance going nowhere. It was already confirmed that there were a lot of scenes between them added to the drama. I'm not saying 'I want kids' romance or this drama is crap', but I want the characters I learnt to love to come back earlier than 2-3 weeks from now...

if you read properly they are all main characters also logically, there is no way jo insung, hyojoo and ryu seungryong…
It is that serious when people time and time again come to a drama and expect that information on MAL or other fanmade sites is 100% accurate. It is not. The tags are sometimes misleading, not complete, the cast is in a different order. The timer of airing is f up a lot. Everybody has to learn in this age of fake news that we have to do research and not trust everything that we see online.

In addition to everything you said, even if you love the romance in episodes 8 and 9 you're not going to see those…
Yes, first the teenagers 'romance', then Mi Hyun and Doo Shik, then we will get Jang Joo Won and his wife... But maybe in Jang Joo Won's episodes Mi Hyun and Doo Shik will make an appearance in the background, who knows? I tend to prefer to see couples who are actually together and the way they cope with their life and relationship, instead of them just meeting each other, falling in love and then credits roll. Here Doo Shik is missing, Joo Won's wife is dead so I don't think we'll get that, but we'll see

If we seriously get 7 episodes about adults now, I'm afraid that it's not gonna maintain its momentum. Even if you love adults' storyline, you have to consider that a lot of people grew attached to teenagers. And while in the first 7 eps we still got a little bit of parents (not that little to be exact) if they focus ONLY on the adults for next 7 eps, people will get anxious. Imagine any show with ensamble cast - like Modern Family, Glee, whatever - if half of the main characters disappeared for 7 eps, it would be really noticeable. If they were still in the background however, it wouldn't be so bad.

Also, I have a bit of a problem that all those 7 eps are flashbacks. I don't really feel like the plot is moving. 1 ep of flashback is ok, 2 - I'll manage, but 7? Man, I don't know. But I feel like the high stakes are in the present right now. The past is past

I don't know how it could have been done differently, merging both the present and past, but I seriously don't feel like waiting till ep 15 for the present time to return... i want to see the teenagers and parents grow even more, but there won't be enough time. Rn I feel like some plots could have been cut, like the electricity man...

What is up with the cast order on MDL? The 3 main characters are listed at the end of the main cast? Never seen…
I bet 10 dollars that it will change when the show ends. This is based on the published information we got before airing, rather than actual screentime. And of course promotion is based on the popular actors. On Disney+ the 2 main teenagers are right after 3 main adults. Here it's just based on seniority and popularity, but it's not easy for changes on MDL to be approved during airing. So it will be changed after it finishes most likely.

This drama was really ahead of its time. It's not only that there are few dramas from 2014 that are still as good as this one, there are still very few dramas as good as this one RIGHT NOW. Not only dealing with mental health, ever so tactfully, but with sex, which is nowhere to be seen in other dramas! As you age, you understand the drama and the characters even more. The FL is so unlikable, but also human, and the ML as well... they are not from fairytale.

The only questionable plot is the second couple with 2FL's age... but I can look past it.

It is one of mose rewatchable dramas ever, I still till this very day cry while watching it. My only problem is that it's not available on Neflix anymore, and I can't find it anywhere in Poland rn...
