Not a fan of the pacing of episodes 8&9. I appreciate the back story but 2 episodes of back story about a couple…
You are basically telling what you feel, with no hate or insults, and you bring up very valid points, yet people are not letting anyone bring out any criticism towards the adult plotline. This forum turned into a mess overnight, eh... i agree that these two episodes were nice, but considering the rest of the show, they were not really balanced.
Imagine watching this drama for some teenage giddy romance and getting disappointed when they got delivered with…
You do realize that the main cast list is prepared before the show even starts and the people who prepare it have ZERO idea who will in fact have the most screentime, other than limited info from the makers of the drama? Like, it would mean that the bus driver is more importand than the teenage main leads. I highly doubt that.
I don't understand some people here. They want to see a adult love story, and the promotional pictures for the…
Like can't we just enjoy what we get provided that it's good? The teenage drama has been lit so far, and I sure want more of it, the adults just aren't so developed as of now. Just because on the poster there are 3 MOST POPULAR actors from the cast, does it have to correlate 1-1 with their screentime? I just don't get when there come people who say THE ACTOR IS THE TOP MAIN LEAD ON MDL SO HE HAS TO BE IN THE SHOW FOR THE LONGEST TIME. You do realise that posters are made for marketing purposes and MDL's page are made by people who do not have some insight to classified information about the plot?

I don't understand some people here. They want to see a adult love story, and the promotional pictures for the series definitely shows who the main actors are. If you want some adult drama, there are tons of series to choose from. For me personally, this drama is great and I really enjoyed these seven episodes.
Did the chief ordered Doo Shik to assassinate that North Korean leader? It was mentioned in the newspaper that…
I think he was supposed to assasinate him without any doubt that it was South Korea's command, so that there is a big conflict between Koreas and there is no more talk about reuniting (cause the agency chief thought it was bullshit)
Tiktok and Youtube shorts manipulates most of the kdrama fans lol, the way they make edits some people thinks…
Lol, based on the 9eps aired, the teenagers are the main leads, getting most of the screenime. They are described as main cast as well, it's just that MDL chose to put the more popular actors at the front of the list. Why would it be bad to demand more of the teenagers? So far I think they are the best part of the show. Unless you read the manhwa, you don't know who will have the most screentime, and even if you read it, it still could be changed.
OMG I’m so happy that more people are becoming interested in the drama because it really deserves the hype!…
I honestly didn't even notice that he does not fit the weight standards until like ep 5. He looks like a normal teenager. Was shocked when I read that the actor gained like 30kg for this role - like I know that it's muscles as well, but he looks normal, how much did he weight before? How did that become the norm? Sigh...
66lbs gained and he still looks normal weight ~ must have been hella skinny before then 😮
True, it boggles my mind too... If he gained it in muscles then it will not be so visible I guess, but it's still a lot, he looks as if he gained max 15-20 kg
It’s looking like we will have a love triangle between Bongseok, Heeso and Kang Hoon. I hope not because I’m…
Same! Looking at other dramas, I'd say he has the aura of a second male lead, as screenwriters tend to favour the misterious cold types, but I hope that here the triangle will just give him the motivation to fight for the girl and for himself. The class president is too underdeveloped as a character for my liking
In South Korea the self defense laws really aren't as 'good' for the victim as in the rest of the world. You cannot…
Yes, it is a very weird law, and I heard that they are contesting it a lot these days in SK, as there were two knife attacks in public in recent weeks. I've also seen it in some other dramas, where a wife kills her husband in self-defense, and goes to jail cause she used inadequate power (as she wasn't killed herself). For sure, these are dramas but even thinking about it makes my head hurt...
As for the FL, another thing is that the case never got to court (and police I guess), because her dad wanted to sweep it under the rug and just paid every 'victim'. The school was the only place where she was found guilty, and I think her dad didn't even try to fight, they just wanted to lay low and find another school to transfer to.
About the video you are right, especially that the video of class president saving her in ep 7 went viral... Maybe the secret agency took care of it as well, but it's inconsistent for sure. They could have had the fight in a secluded place with nobody around to film it, that would have made more sense.
Even if the drama truly deserves a 7-7,9 rating, which I'm not saying it doesn't, I tend to rate very harshly, so a 8.0 is pretty high in my book, it makes no sense for its rating to drop do much when SYIM19thL it at 8.5 right now. It's just that the buzz and the hate for SYIM19thL never got to the level of KTL. MDL's ratings are inflated very much, but I do not see KTL's ratings as a sign of change when SYIM19thL is rated so high. I'm afraid that just review bombing, simple as that.
I remember seeing comments from Kang Full or someone from the production team regarding the possibility of following…
Thank you! So I wasn't imagining things after all.
Yeah, the marketing sucks, I'm also based in Europe, and if I didn't specifically search for Moving the day it was released, there's no way I'd learn about it from Disney+ page. I really hope that it will be a hit in Asia at least cause here I think everybody grew used to expect the worst from Disney+ after they kept shows like Crazy Love in a dungeon for a year...
In South Korea the self defense laws really aren't as 'good' for the victim as in the rest of the world. You cannot give your attackers more wounds than you received yourself. You also cannot be the one who started the fight. So here they would look at her wounds and the attackers', and even if they had it on video that she was the victim, it wouldn't matter to the police / teachers. She used inadequate (too much) power to fight them.
And about the social media, I guess you're right, I thought about it too. My only idea is that she was covered with so much mud, that she was unrecognisable in the video.
