Hi Jay, thanks! I agree with you, it would be amazing! Unfortunately many dramas/movies aren't subbed and many…
True, a lot of people got into Korean dramas via K-Pop but also the other way around. The Korean Entertainment industry is brilliant at promoting their content, products and brand globally and they definitely know how to cash in on the fame of their artists and productions as they understand the value of the international market for them.
I have been noticing the same. There are a lot more Chinese Dramas being subbed which is great and hopefully more dramas will continue to be subbed as China produces so many great quality dramas, many of which only available in Mandarin but this will naturally happen with the growing interest of international fans on Chinese Entertainment.
I've watched A Love So Beautiful and I loved it. It was a really good drama. Shen Yue is the female lead in this year's Taiwanese version of Meteor Garden.
In love with the show, in my opinion it is better organized and produced than Pd101, however it is much more predictable…
The difference in votes between 1st and 2nd place is so big, so big! Cai Xukun is in a league of his own! There's him and then there's everyone else. The difference between 2nd and 3rd places, however are not that big.
I agree, there are too many underrated trainees i.e. Zeren & Mubo but on my opinion also Rui. He's so entertaining on stage and I am also happy about Qin Fen getting the recognition that he deserves! He's very talented and I also hope that he gets into Top 9 but it looks unlikely, unfortunately!
Idol Producer have a lot of trainees in the current Top 9 that are extremely popular and with the exception of one or two that might drop, at this point, regretfully it seems unlikely that Qin Fen will enter it but I have hope!
Even though i'm a hetero male, I would not turn down Lin Yanjun if he asked me to go to a deserted island with…
Hi Jay, thanks! I agree with you, it would be amazing! Unfortunately many dramas/movies aren't subbed and many great Chinese novels aren't translated. They're a huge market and they don't need to expand but it would be wonderful if they did, if more dramas were subbed and more international fans watched Chinese dramas and movies and variety programs and talked about them as avidly as they do about K-programs which are way more popular. Perhaps when international fans start to enjoy more Chinese programs and crave for Chinese Entertainment news, maybe then the Chinese Ente?tainment Industry might get the recognition it deserves globally. What do you think>
Well, it's not like Mandopop needs international popularity to do very well. ^^' They're so many, that they don't…
I agree entirely with everything that you've said and there are so many Chinese dramas/movies that us international fans would enjoy if they had subtitles. Furthermore there are also tons of books whose synopsis is really good and they would be great to read and no translation. It's a shame because although they might not need or care about the international market, there are a lot of international fans that love Chinese Entertainment. Let's hope more dramas are subbed and more books translated!
Great article! For me though, I liked Meteor Garden I. S2 I would have liked it more if it had been condensed but S1 was really good.
Let's keep in mind though that MG was filmed in 2001 and that wardrobe was different as fashion was different.
Of course we can always compare versions and debate which one is better, but that's all relative and varies from person to person. The good thing is that MG was done and we were and are able to enjoy it and thanks to its popularity more versions have been made and more drama enthusiasts were able to discover the beauty of such a simple although mesmerizing story.
okay some one tell me..they end up together..? or not?...the same thing happened with money flower damn...i don't…
It has a happy ending and a sad ending. The happy part: Son Oh Gong going on a cruzade to save Sun Mi and everyone knows that he will do it and they will live happily ever after. The sad part is Jin Bu Ja dies and I liked the character and wanted her to be with PK.
I never expected this, I never expected to want to watch the drama, to be glued to my screen as if I were a magnet and above all, I never expected to love it as much as I do! Brilliant, perfect, rivetting, engaging, beautiful! :)
Well said as always, Fran!Sorry to piggyback off your great response but I wanted to address the ending in further…
:) Jay, I agree with you and I share Fran's words "I loved your review of the finale!" It was a really hopeful ending to the begining of the next chapter of their lives together! :)
I agree with all your reasons :D I simply loved this drama from start to finish. I completely understand why it…
:) Thank you! I agree entirely with what you said as well! Life is not a constant cloud of silver linnings despite the dreams expectations that might be so, perhaps as a way to excape reality. Life is not perfect all the time but the moments one creates can be perfect like the moments Yu Huai and Geng Geng created together! I loved the drama from begining to end. I laughed and cried and the end was just right for me at least...the tree and the symbolic meaning of that encounter! Perhaps people don't understand its meaning but it's there in the drama, that's why is so powerful! Indeed "love in its various forms, friendships, challenges, failures and personal growth". With You is all of that! Thank you for such an in-depth fundamented and well written review! I look forward to reading more from you! :)
I love Ikuta Toma!!! He's my favorite actor, although I am not a fan of his recent work! Thank you for the article! I loved it!!! It's a shame though that Jonny's Entertainment doesn't do more to promote their actors, rather focusing their attention on their idols and it's also a shame that Ikuta Toma is not more widely known and his recent work hasn't been having the visibility that it once did!

Looking forward to reading more recommendations from you! :)

Bad Genius was really good but I didn't like Gintama!
