This movie had me stressed in the best way possible. The suspense kept me hooked the whole time. Perhaps, this happen I watch less of thrillers. There were two scenes that hit me emotionally, and made me feel sympathy. One was when Officer Hyeon Joo was mentally and physically abused by her own drunkard father. Such a horrible parent! The other one was where Do Kyung was standing on the cliff and the lady officer very much can relate to her came to her rescue. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the ending delivered an unexpected plot twist that completely caught me off guard.
I just finished watching the movie and I’m quite surprised to find only two comments about it on MDL. I agree, this movie should have the romance genre tag and I definitely got heartbroken at the ending when the main leads did not end up together. :( Anyhow,I know that it’s a mob/triad genre, but I just wish there were less smoking scenes and focus on the characters development. Overall, I found the movie quite gripping that I finished it in a go..
The ML is such a Golden Retriever type of boyfriend and I’m not complaining. 😆💕

Happy belated birthday! I watched Hong Kai for the first time in My Heart. In the drama, with the long hair and cheeky smile, I just cannot unsee the resemblance between him and the Malaysian singer, Shila Amzah. :0

1. I did not see any marriage or marriage vows going between the leads, only a few oral exchanges about their unending love for one another. 2. Yes, they ended up together! 3. The dad, Lu Hongzhu loved the spiritual girl and ofc, he's obsessed with obtaining the spiritual stone. 4. She just doesn't to he overthrown from the position as the ruling monarch. 5. The sister, Yinxi didn't turn evil. She fell for her father's deceiving tactics so that's why she felt that her actions (when it as obviously hurting her younger sister)was right. In the end, she would join the heroes to celebrate their victory.
The story was nice and pulled me to watch the drama everyday. It took me 4 days to complete the drama. I enjoyed the ML acting. I wished that the FL would show more emotions and embrace her character more. Their love was unbeatable but sad that there was less skinship *cough cough*, only just that the FL should work out on expressing her emotions. I love that there was less hatred going on between the ruling siblings, Mingyang and Yixin (no need to hype up the war between family members).
P/S: I'm off to watch other works of the ML. He's lovely to watch :3
