Here are some examples:- When Rei says that she lost her virginity at 29 after having sex with the husband even…
-Losing virginity thing was clearly a joke. It was a trauma response and she did not mean it in literal sense. It's like saying "Oh look I finally experienced what society views as losing virginity and it was the catalyst for the most traumatic incident in my life." -The sex scene with taxi driver was there for 2 reasons. 1: For her to shut the dude up. From the beginning she was guarded against him and when he mentioned he hit his wife and kids, she was alarmed. Even if she was a murderer she was still scared of him. 2. The second reason connects to their school days where she told Nanae that she will end up selling her body to make money so why don't she just sleep with Rei. They are showing the direct parallelism here with her being at her lowest point in her life and taking money from that man by selling her body. -Rei saying that was because of her insecurity. When Nanae refused to sleep with her she thought it was because she didn't want "fingers inside her". That's why she said that, because in her head all she wants to do is satisfy Nanae and Nanae is only used to hetero sex so hence why she said this. As if to say " I am sorry this is all I can do for you right now" I also don't know how it is seen as from a mans perspective when the literal villain of the movie is a man, in all the hetero scenes Rei looked disgusted and the only times she was remotely happy was when she was with her girlfriend or Nanae.
omg right? this is one of my favorite movies and i really can't understand how this low rating is possible, people…
exactly. Like just say u have never seen another Japanese movie and go. There's literally no valid criticism in here(And I have read everything). And the fact that ppl r saying Rei is "Not a real lesbian" makes my blood boil
If anyone read the novel, can u spoil if Kinns dad knew about Porche from even before? Or like how he knew him? Unless i misinterpreted those interactions of course.
This comment section and the reviews are singlehandedly responsible for why I dont care about MDL ratings. Yall really watched the movie and didn't understand a single thing.
Hi, I am not sure if this has been answered already(I gave up trying to keep up with all the promos) but is there going to be a loveline between KimPorchay?
Anyone who can tell me what was in the last episode in the contract? Thank you.
they signed a contract to live together from 4/1/2022 till march 2024. And the extra takes place in march 2023 so yeah, they still have the same arrangement and poor Ichirou still sleeps on the couch
Just finished it. What do I do with my life now? I am gonna post the hulu extra when I have time but someone please sub it, I need to know what they were bickering about. And by the looks of the last episode, I have a very strong feeling that they r gonna do a movie/s2. Considering how it ended I am leaning heavily towards the movie tbh. Movie length is perfect for whatever is leftover. Anyways time to go and cry about my emotional support gays leaving me
I think i know the reason why they just showing bromance cause maybe the director is not good in romance genre…
Oh that part with Eiji kind of makes me sad. Do u remember what interview it might be from? This is actually very new info to me cause people have been telling me that Keita being in Alice in borderland was the reason there was no kiss. (I would be kind of disappointed if the movie doesn't have kiss ngl)
right now, I'm mostly curious about how ichiroshiro will move on with their lives once the investigation is officially…
I think Ichiro will keep living with Shirou tbh. He already considers this his home. And in ep 5 Shirou asked him if he was moving out and got sad when he said yes. And him saying "I thought this would be a safe heaven for you" means that he doesn't want him to go. I am actually ok with them giving a random not realistic excuse for him to stay there(it would be very on brand for these 2). The lease for his apt expired and he didn't notice/he ran out of money cause he had to buy stuff for Shirous house/he has to be there to protect Shirou/Shirou needs someone to cook for him etc. They can also end with a second mystery popping up so Ichirou has to stay to solve since the manga is still going(like finding Shirous parents or something). Even if we don't get a 2nd season/movie, that usually how they end regular mystery dramas tbh
I actually don't understand all the complains about the relationship aspect of the drama. The mystery/crime is…
Their relationship is at a perfect place in the drama. I don't wanna hear "but in the manga š¤" idc. Go reread the manga. It's not even subtle they r very loud about what type of relationship this is. Trust me as someone who has been trying to queer rep for ages in tv, there's nothing "queerbaiting" or subtle about this. If you know whats Castiel is you KNOW. There's so many things in the last episode that screamed "This is a gay couple" idk how a lot of you missed it. 1. Ichirou literally did not need to go into hiding with Shirou. Shirou was the only suspect. 2. Ichirou telling Shirou "You look terrible" to make him take a bath cause he knows insults work better for him than a genuine concern. 3. Ichirou going to buy a cake cause Shirou was not eating even though he complains about how much sugar he eats. He even tried eating the cake for someone who absolutely hates sweet stuff so Shirou will get competitive and eat it after he saw Shirou gave up after one bite.(He was literally staring at him while he was eating. What part of that is subtle?) 4. Chika literally gave up on Ichirou cause she can see he likes Shirou. Her interactions earlier used to be on flirtier side and now it's very platonic(since ep 7 i would say) 5. Shirou saying "It's good to be back home" and Ichirou agreeing as if that's his home also that Shirou has to mention it's not his. Ichirou considers that his home already. Shirou isn't getting rid of him anytime soon. 6. Shirou putting his head on Ichirous shoulder and saying random stuff about eating cause he saw how stressed he was about meeting the dude at the restaurant. He was trying to distract him. 7. The ending extra is literally Ichirou acting like it's his house and nagging Shirou like a househusband. Extra: The preview for next episode shows that Shirou kept his promise "I need to stick beside you cause who else is gonna stop you?"(Btw that knife looked so tiny tbh. I was cracking up.) So yeah, their relationship is fine. That's usually how slow burns go. They are not going to outright do love confessions and have kisses and etc. But they are also not leading people on. The tags were clear from day 1 tbh and I don't understand why everyone is shocked š.
I actually don't understand all the complains about the relationship aspect of the drama. The mystery/crime is the main plot and the romance is B plot. If you are used to watching drama with romance as B plot this is not at all surprising(I would say the romance is actually wayyy more in this for a drama where romance is not the main point) If you have seen queen of mystery you would know what I am talking about. Also I think they had to hold back after ep 7 hug cause that was probably pushing the boundary of the "bromance" tag. Ex-When Shirou was crying in ep9, I am pretty sure Ichirou would have hugged him in that situation because the only other time he cried was during the hug. Even the manga is exactly like this. If you went to read the manga with the romance expectations u will be disappointed. Now please start criticising the main plot of the show which is the investigation because that is actually done poorly. The pacing is done terribly and there are no stakes even though there should be cause they are literally going against most powerful people. Like Shirou being framed last episode lasted like 2 min. They could have included this in earlier episode and explored a bit of them hiding from law enforcement etc and it would have been more impactful tbh. There's also a lot more issues with the mystery part of the show that should be the main focus of all of your criticisms(the literal genre of this show does not include romance in here) The relationship aspect is actually perfectly fine. They can't realistically move the relationship more and stay withing the bromance tag. I'll talk about it in the reply cause it has a few important spoilers ig. So yeah. Am I less happy about the latest episodes? Yes. But is it cause of the romance? Absolutely not. It's the mystery that is a mess imo.
