Title My Lovely Liar Spoiler
I also did not understand why Kang Min put the blame on the ML like ML is the responsible of everything when he…
He was in jail because he was a known criminal who tried to kill ML. When he was freed, he went strait to Seoul to try again to kill Do Ha. That in itself is stalking. Then he attacked Sayon. That's assault, abduction and threats with a weapon. Then he stalked and attacked Do Ha with a knife. That's battery anb illegal possession of weapon of in public. Even if Kang Min did not have all the testimonies, he was a witness. He should have done his job.

In fact, if his superiors know that he did not catch a criminal who was repeating his initial offense, because he Kang Min listened to a civilian and that criminal later stabbed someone, he could be blamed and suspended.

He failed to do his job and the fact that he accused Do Ha of being responsible of the guy being stabbed that was just ridiculous. He shares the responsibility with him at the least.

Mok Sol Hee is one of best female leads ever. She's not weak and damsel in distress, but she's also not badass and too feisty. She's just composed but still confident. She's on the right line. I'm amazed with all the bravery she's showing since the start and how's she's willing to take risks to protect Do Ha as always. She knows how to stand on her ground. She really had a wild life as a liar hunter and she gained a lot of experience from it. She's so cool. Kim So Hyun is doing great on her role.

Ok, so here's my theory: When Do Ha left Eom Ji at the beach Jo Jae Chan (Deuk Chan's brother) found her somehow…
This is the most plausible explanation now! :D
And also if Jae Chan killed her while drunk and forgotten abt it then his brother tells him that Seung Ju is the culprit and they are just helping him out with the alibi…he might have believed it and kept asking Seung Ju for $ over the years for granted >.>
Deuk Chan trusted Seung Ju (Do Ha) caz he knew who is the killer and he kept telling his brother that Seung Ju dont owe them anything :X

I love how Solhee and Doha are a couple who didn't have a moment where they realized "oh, I like him/her". They gradually grew closer as friends and easily admitted to other people that they like each other. They naturally know their feelings and doesn't have misunderstandings. It's heartwarming to see the development of their relationship with the foundation of honesty, trust and understanding.

They've been eating out several times before they directly asked out each other for a date. They've always been straightforward and now that they're officially a couple, they're being openly lovey-dovey to each other. They're both introverts with calm personalities so it's fun to see them becoming brighter, outgoing and even showing their cute sides together. Their chemistry is wonderful and I love how they're giving positive impact to each other. They deserve their happiness especially after what they went through with their exes.

The latest episodes shows us the start of their sweet relationship, but it's just the calm before the storm. I'm nervous for the next episodes and I hope they could stay strong together.

Fun fact: Their scenes while grilling at the camp is actually bloopers but the director must've like their genuine reactions so he included it.

I understand your reasoning but I don't agree. We need to remember this wasn't a one-time thing. She was constantly weaponising self-harm and suicide in an attempt to keep him with her. It was extremely toxic and she definitely needed psychiatric help. We saw in the flashbacks that she had done this multiple times and when she does slit her wrist on the beach, he instantly runs back to cover it and make sure she's ok. But if he had stayed with her, the toxic cycle would have continued. He appeared to have stopped the bleeding and when she continued to act delusionally, THEN he walked away because he knew staying with her would only feed her delusions.
That's why he blames himself for her death. He wishes he'd done more and assumes she committed suicide after that (we still don't know what actually happened) BUT he's not to blame for it. When he left, she was ok. Her wound wasn't life-threatening and he knew that him staying with her then would have continued the self harm cycle because in her mind (hurting herself = him staying).

She was a delusional stalker and if he'd shown her any shred of attention in that moment, she would have continued to think they were together. She was abusive toward him and I totally understand why he felt sick of her shit.

You don't owe people who threaten you with suicide a relationship.

At first, there were criticism on this relationship of a high shcool girl and a man in 30s' also in Korea. But now, most don't care about it anymore because now they find this drama has a plot that needs a set of 'an under age and an adult.' The meaning of 9 is important hint in the drama and that's why it shows her life in 9, 19, and 29. On the other hand, Kim Shin has to be someone who reveals all the wisdom, divinity, agony, burden on his face(enough to wish death). Most of all, goblins(dokebi) has an image of Ajeossi not young Oppa in Korea. Those character/plot-sets make (kind of) unavoidable age gap. And I find the writer is also recognized this issue when she came up with the scenario, looking at the lines like "Ji Eun-tak with her sugar daddy" when a bully was gossiping about Eun-tak in episode 2, or the quite long scene that shows they celebrate her coming of age.

This drama's another English name is Gardian(which I think it's more proper than Goblin because dokebi is different from western goblin). Kim Shin starts as her gardian, but the way the writer slowly develops their relationship as a couple was convincing for me, so after a few episodes this love line didn't feel so wrong. And when Euntak becomes 29, they are just like a normal couple in 30s. I think someone younger actor in his 20s wouldn't be able to satisfy all those factors. Maybe that's why the writer had convinced Gong Yoo to take the role for 5 years. He is old enough to be a lonely god and young enough to be a playful goblin at the same time, and Kim Go-eun can act from teenager to adult. Although it's not a morally desirable relationship, consiquently it was necessary for the story and even helpful for making an unique chemistry in this fantasy romance.

And about the goblin and reaper, I can't agree with you more!

It’s an old series but I want to give my two cents after reading through a few comments. This is beating a dead horse but:

Regarding the age issue, I suggest people open their mind and try to process the following:
1. It’s a fantasy genre. (You can’t apply all reality expectations to this. I suggest watching a lot more of these types of genre to grasp an understanding what fantasy means.)
2. ML is an immortal – please take a few hours or more to process what this is and not take this at face value (aka age related). I’m not supporting Pedophile in any shape or form. This show doesn’t even have that element. While FL is not a woman, she is not a kid. I’m not trying to change your view but I do want to say this: the world is not just black and white or a simple straight line. I suggest open up your mind, you might discover something more beautiful.

For those who don’t understand why ML is acting like a teenage boy after he falls in love when he has 900+ years of experience. Have you ever been in love before? Was your rationality intact when falling in love? Do you only watch the series at face value and never bother to understand the plot and why it was such? Although ML is over 900 years old, he has never once experienced love. He was a military man, surrounding himself with male compadres and killings at the battlefield. The only female he had ever seen interacting with was his sister. Even that was not frequent either. His immortality was a blessing and a punishment at the same time; he was not allowed to forget the deaths of loved ones. When such is a case, if you were him, would you go around meeting people so you would be in pain every time they die, leaving you again and again by yourself? No. You would rather not mingle with anyone to avoid that pain. The only people he mingled with for 900+ years were his servants because he needed them (e.g. fake identities, etc.) Involving in romantic love would be the last thing on his mind. However, he did go around to find Goblin’s bride in hope to end this suffering. That doesn’t mean he would go and date all the females to find her. He has the power of touch to see the future, remember?

I do agree that the FL was too quick to accept being the Goblin’s bride, but if you look deep into the storyline, you would see that the FL wanted to have a sense of belonging and protection. She felt that from the ML. Her mom died when she was very young. No one needed her. Living with a not-loving aunt family surely didn’t help either. She was simply having a school crush on a handsome man. Her attitude was rather shallow at the beginning. She was using him to get away from her difficult life situation because she knew he was rich, powerful and needed her, and there were no consequences of being a Goblin’s Bride. She could help him remove the blade to make him ā€œprettyā€ and get a return on investment at the same time. It was not a bad deal. He was her easy solution.

Don’t you have a period in your life where you wish prince charming on a white horse was real? Her ā€œI love you and I want to be your brideā€ was not sincere until much later when such crush slowly became love (hence, the reason why she could not grab the sword the first time was because their feelings were not yet considered as sincere love.) She was basically playing with fire. All that said, I was rather annoyed with some of her over-the-top actions which some people called childish.

I was not expecting to see so much homophobic comments in this movie....Jesus this is wild.
I really thought that Kdrama/kmovie communities were more open minded, but this is really my first time seeing this many hate comments about two women kissing in my 3,5 years of kdramaland.

And the fact that i saw so many comments on here and twitter and also the place i watched the movie with questionable idols as their profiles that i bet my life they are getting railed from behind in the club's bathroom.

And if you are a homophobic heterosexual just want you to know that i do not support your life style, and you should do better.
Dont be proud that you can procreate in this day and age, having a child now with all the messed up politics and climate change is dumb.
If you want to do better i advised you to do some "scissoring" or some "needle work"

After watching single inferno i got curious to one of the commentator and found her in this drama finish watching…
Search: WWW is my favorite role of hers. She manages to be everything from cool to quirky, confident to cutely blushing, and is an unapologetic fangirl but simultaneously a total boss, an absolutely charming, endearing, sweet-funny-tender powerhouse you want as your best friend. She has the best chemistry with just about any and everyone whether she's playing their bestie, lover, crush, brokenhearted ex, boss, subordinate... doesn't matter if the costar is a kiddo, is 20, 40, 60, or 80... she's kind of magical. :)
