They are playing safe with this one. Recent drama such TTEOTM , Love you Seven Times, LYF and TSL already stop using an overused tropes and evolved the genre quite a bit.

Gu jin kinda dumb and Ayin still childish. There is no balance in this relationship.

I can deal with stupid FL in those drama but I can't deal with stupid ML.

Gu Jin joined Trial Assembly on ep 8. It is a test to join a Heaven official duties. He offered a God of War position. Initially he rejected the position but somehow he still go to Heaven Realm for official duty.

Than he worked at War of God Hall. He supervised crafting those arrow. So he bound to Heaven Realm, he have duty to do. It is not like he fired or someone replacing him as well. Until current episode 22, technically he still God of War.

Gu Jin still acting as God of War of Heaven Realm . IDK if screenwriter forget it?

But during Heaven Emperor murder, no one mention him nor calling him. God of War is the one should be call first over this breach of security. He should be also the one blamed if someone hurt or dead, let alone the Emperor. But for over two episodes, no one mentions Gu Jin or ask him to do something over it. They just let him go like some kind of stranger. Not only that, Gu Jin went alone making elixir while Heavenly Emperor murder still unsolved. It is like a writer forget he have position on Heaven.

It is massive plothole.

Thing baffle me on latest episode. Some plothole.

So far I still think Gu Jin is ML with flaws. But I don't know what he is thinking and what his objective. It is so unclear what his motivation is.

Every other characters have clear objective. Ayin wanted to have her sister born. She wanted married with Gu Jin. Hong Yi wanted to get his dad nirvana wheel back and cultivate higher. Hua Shu wanted married a man with high position and secure his clan. But Gu Jin is so aimless. He denied Ayin but he do everything for her, it makes him such wishy washy indecisive.

That is intentional , ML keep pushing FL and treat her like a sister. FL don't want that.

FY and YQ gap still big. Now you know why that pink lady bothered about Ayin so much , YQ literally have relationship with pokemon.

Everyone die and I don' think there will be another peaceful day for FL and ML.

My guess Gu Jin still keep the memory, he faked it. He just hope he and she just have simple breakup and she just let go of him as a lover.

He still wanted her as a friend and sister. He still don't want her to die.

Production is disappointing, script is so so. People stay for Lusi but you can't ignore those flawed technical film making. Drama looks 50-50 most of time, looks good or bad. This drama have worst animal CGI.

Clearly they rush it out for New Year I guess. It the fastest Xianxia airing, they just finished filming this April. Usually other drama took 18 months for post production.

Actress that play Eagle usually play snake villain like that Peacock Hua Shu. So refreshing see her play a nice girl for once.

Seem it will be usual xianxia. Yes but also No. Feng Yin have different personality than Ayin but all Ayin experience influence her. She will react different if she face same problem as Ayin.
