Started 2 days ago and binge watched until episode 15 least night. It is quite a good watch if can bear the first few episodes which is more like a setup. Just saw a few comments that the ending is not that great, not looking forward to that since it is considered a long drama for me with 36 episodes - there should be ample time to close it nicely. :(

NN and CY became closer after she protected her during the recent abduction attempt. She brought along the divorced letters and asked CY if she is going ahead with it and to check with XY. She feels that even if a couple is always at loggerheads, true feelings will still surface in times of distress. NN questioned about the lack of security on that day, especially at critical spots. CY also remembered that XY was not himself that day and suspected that she might have been used as a bait though CY refused to think of XY as a selfish guy. NN felt otherwise as it was obviously a plan by XY, CY decided to confront XY about it rather than guessing.
XY was worshipping General Xue Yishan, who was seriously injured during the conquest in the West and died of illness thereafter. During one of the battles, both XY’s parents perished in defeat and thus not hailed as heroes. CY comforted XY that he has fulfilled their ambitions, and if not for him the residents of the South would still be in danger from the West. When ask about his brother, XY said he was a palace guard who perished in a fire 6 months ago to protect the royal ancestor tablets in a temple. Since his parents’ death his brother doubled up as his father and he was devastated that he died as he was his closest relative. Seeing XY in this state, CY could not bring her to ask him about the incident.
CY then went to visit XY’s aunt who was still not awake. Thinking back she suddenly understood that XY loves her as he jumped of the cliff after her. All these years she had been living an abnormal life and because of XY she was able sleep well and feel normal again. Even though something was amiss that day, she refused to doubt XY unless he admits it himself.
NN heard from LJ that XY indeed used CY as a bait and went to confront XY, asking him how he can bear to put CY in danger and that he has changed. After which XY immediately went himself to find CY to explain that he was behind it and cannot revealed yet why he did it. He would be at her disposal once things come to an end. NN at this moment took XY out for a walk.
XT’s aunt then woke up, accused XY of ill-treating her niece-in-law and want him to bring CY back at all cost. She was aware that CY stayed by her side all this while.
That evening, XY waited at the door for CY to return but ran away upon seeing her come back. CY could smell that he was there though. She knew that she could not sleep with XY anymore so ask TY to collect the bedding from XY’s room. XY decided to send the bedding personally and saw CY trying to hang herself when he opened the door.
Is it possible that a woman on ice bed is one of the concubine??
It is highly probable that she is the "yun fei" or concubine yun mentioned in episode 16. Since the whole incident regarding her death is being covered up by the emperor-it is not known what really happened to her.

TROTAR is more of a comedy and can be more far-fetched since it is not in a real world; SP is a bit more serious - TROTAR is indeed funnier (I laughed so hard) and SP more interesting plot. I like the lead actress/actor in TROTAR more especially ZLS but the lead characters in SP more especially the FL. :)

:) It's fine being cold just like all the other C-Dramas with CEO, best looking dude in the school who is good in studies and sports etc... putting the one you love in danger not matter whether you mean it or not... and what for, to find out the truth of someone's death? So what if he finds out the truth and she dies? So it becomes 2 of the people he loves most dying instead of one and he can't bring back the brother.
And if he paid more attention to the FL when she was telling him about his secret (he repeatedly ask her what she is hiding) probably can link it up the the brother as well. He chose to worry about what will happen between him and the FL if the emperor is the killer - something that is just a suspect.

XY asked the leader of the abductors what they wanted from CY. The leader replied by saying XY acts and talks like his brother and thus he mistook him for his brother earlier. He asked if he wanted to know what happened to his brother. As XY went into deep thought other abductors attacked XY as CY is hanging by the cliff with a rope over a tree. XY managed to subdue them and grabbed the end of the rope. The leader refused to talk as he does not care about living or dying (as their family lives are in the hands of the one that controls them). XY questioned who they are so loyal to and sliced the leader’s chest to reveal the “Qingyun” totem which is the symbol of their loyalty. All this talk while CY was still hanging by a rope and the leader managed to cut the rope and escape. XY dived to save CY from freefall, tree managed to break the momentum. CY apologized for attracting the abductors but XY said it is his fault instead. CY mentioned she will jinx those around her.
True enough, a poisonous snake attacked them and XY got bitten protecting CY. CY immediately performed first aid by sucking out the poison from the wound, vowing not to let XY get hurt. XY fainted and CY applied some medication that her teacher gave her on the wound. XY came down with fever and CY stayed by his side.
CY remembered the ankle bell XY forced her to wear, it was used on slaves to prevent them from escaping. She removed the cosmetics so that the bell can work again. XY at this moment vomited blood and CY was deeply concerned. In his state XY had a bad dream that the emperor gave CY hand in marriage to XC instead of him and CY doesn’t recognize him. He woke up distraught and hugged CY tightly. The snake venom caused hallucination that XC came to take CY away - XY pulled her towards him, hugged and kissed her (with his bloody mouth) and refused to let her go.
XC did not manage to find CY, thinking back what CY did for him singing at the courtesan house – he decided to leave everything behind just to take CY to roam the world. His assistant advised against doing so as it will ruin his future. He replied that so far what he has done is for CY, so it does not mean anything even he is at the top of the world without CY.
At this moment, XC heard the ankle bells and managed to locate CY by the stream. He knew he lost the bet and told XY that he would let go only if he promised never to let CY down.
On the way back, XY wanted to take off the ankle bell but CY refused saying it is a symbol of their fate. It was given to her to prevent her from escaping but now she wants to stay. CY pledged her love to XY and that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. In return, XY mentioned that he needs to verify something and asked for more time before he can give his reply.
Back in the Xue mansion, CY cooked for XY. XY immediately asked about the status of the captured abductors. Bai mentioned they took their own lives with poison. Bai also mentioned that XC asked the emperor for help on the search but the emperor refused – they still cannot be sure that the emperor is behind this but very sure that he doesn’t care much about the princess.
XC is confused about why the abductors gained access so easily since this is so uncharacteristic of XY. He suspected that the birthday celebration is just a trap set by XY.

I agree that it is not unrealistic, that's why I didn't like it. If I am being rationale I will not risk someone I love who is alive just to find out what happened to someone I love who died. If he cannot maintain his composure, the SML who under the influence of aphrodisiac can still maintain his. He is just not mature enough, even when the princess if leaving in episode 20, he chose not to see her off and just protect her by following. Is that being a hero? I think not. If I am a girl I'll rather have the man I love tell me so rather than try to hide his feelings from me.
