This beautiful film is about what the human means.

The scenario (of Kim Yoon Seok) is superb. I was surprised how this simple story could show such an important and relevant matter as life, soul, death and love. After watching it we remain convinced that despite betrayals and affairs the world is rational and it’s a good place to live, because human relationships make us vulnerable, but at the same time strong.

It’s a rather simple, touching but a little uncomfortable for you story about women. It has a lot of drama aesthetic: low budget, focus on emotional development of characters, school and home environment, likable protagonists and good pace and ending, and this characteristic of Koreans deeply human understanding of life.

Everyone who love dramas will find something absorbing and satisfying here.

I highly recommend because it’s very comforting and warm to watch the girls' love for their little brother.

It's a classic, action, propaganda Chinese, well stocked film.
But I watched it with pleasure. I didn't expect nothing more then total destruction in the war with nasty aliens, apocalyptic veduta of Shanghai, extermination of human being, sacrifice and death of friends.
Unexpectedly I was suprised by little, melancholic and sad romance that was written like a poem. I like this elegiac vibe and memories of love, because it shows a bit humanity during the end of the world.

Despite of stereotypes and simple plot you watch this smoothly. Of course it isn'n the great film, but you may enjoy some star battles or love of boy and woman with military uniform.

It’s melancholic, sad, moving and visually beautiful drama with great actors.

I’m glad I went through all the episodes and saw the ending. It wasn’t a light journey but it was worth it.
Drama is about crime and corruption in prosecutors, politics and business. But for me the crime plot is an excuse to present the story of touching relationship between friends who had to become enemies. The character of Song Woo Yong (the older friend), brilliant played by Son Hyun Joo, is so well written. He’s intriguing and ambiguous. Is he hardhearted, ambitious man or devoted father?Good or bad? We don’t know for sure.

And, of course, there is no romance, we only got the recollection of romance, but it’s enough.

The stories of the father and son, the prosecutor lady (Nana) and lawyer (Choi Jin Hyuk) are extremely interesting. As well as the story of psychopath villain and his victim. The cinematography is outstanding, the music is sad. The script is perfect.
The ending is satisfying.

If you want to watch something beautiful and melancholic and tender like autumn in the North – watch Justice.

Good adventure series!

There is no drama.

I mean there is no huge moral dilemma, revenge or redemption. There is no big tragedy in the past.
Well, yes, in the beginning it’s a bit, but only as an excuse for her to enter Military Academy. So, there is no drama, but there is every element of good adventure series.
It’s good played adventure story of a girl who stayed as a man in soldier academy in the 30s of XX century. The scenography is outstanding. I may say, perhaps there is no limit of their budget. We can enjoy the beautiful costumes, ladies’ outfits, military uniforms, oldschool cars and stylish environments.
It’s easy to watch till the end, because there is no psychological tense, great tragedy and so on. Generally it’s light, nice, fast and funny. It has a good balance between historical issues and romance-bromance. And I have to mention about sparky girl friendship! The moral decisions made by protagonists are easy to understand and nothing is odd.

Cast:
The best skills of acting has Wu Jia Yi who plays Qu Man Ting – the singer with a broken heart. She can steal every scene, she creates multidimensional character, sensitive artist, bit naive, with a big heart and she always has this hope for the great love.
In the review of “Arsenal Military Academy” it’s impossible not to talk about main leads, but for not to make spoilers I will not say who the main leads are :) Anyway, the military guys and girls play in satisfying way and for sure they have a lot of fun during the filming and we can feel the actors’ enthusiasm.

Music:
10/10. Absolutely.

Script:
Script is OK. In the second part of the series the action take places outside the Academy and we participate in gun wars, kidnappings, chasing and fighting. But the first one tells about living in the academy and this is very entertaining and funny with all gender-bender stuff.

It stands out from other China productions (that I started to watch) that lack good script and they were not able to tell about any reasonable closed story, and I give 9/10. I know that some fans will give 10, but I think it’s enough for light, entertaining series. Well, because we don’t wonder if Japanese will conquer China, but only who will be a sweetheart of this cute girl in military uniform.

I’m disappointed. And annoyed.

The tense, the murder case, the characters, specially students in the school – were interesting and captivating. But solving the case, the detective work, the prosecutor work - were weak. The teachers keep finding clues by chance, without meticulous investigation, and there is no a strong turning point in the story or the moment of suspense. The pace is slow, I mean, the pace of investigation. Surprisingly the most coherent and fine parts of drama were school scenes with young actors.
The motive of temporary teacher (played by Yoon Gyun Sang) was important in the beginning, but later the writer didn’t have the concept of this any more. Unfortunately some of great and interesting characters in the drama were dead (I hope it isn’t a spoiler:) and protagonists who were alive – they were somehow flat. And I'm even not going to mention about the ending...
And my biggest problem with this crime drama: I feel the characters are created in a wrong way. Their actions don’t seem real. The psychology of characters is simple and unconvincing. And the actors acting is proportional to the script: average, average, average.
But the music was good.

So, there are some great scenes, with genius directing and filming (if you have seen the scene in the high-rise building, you know what I'm talking about), but it is not enough to enjoy this crime drama.

There is a story of a complete one life and a complete one love in this very short drama.

It's light, artistic, summery and psychological real and true. I was surprised how the director tells the story of one love, in the beginning falling in love, disappointment, growing up, knowing each other, ambicious, affection. And all in 4 min episodes!
The characteres (of him and her) are presented a bit ironically and this is a perfect way for portraying the process of growing up and understaning the life. In their comments I found some true and wise notes and I realized I liked this drama very much.
If you want to taste slow life, you can watch "Flat" and enjoy the true love story.

It’s an ambitious detective drama, because the main theme is the corruption in the police and moral boundaries. But this is also a good thriller with psychological background.

We are not used to uncertainty and hesitation about who is the good and who is the bad guy. It’s easier to watch something simple, black and white. That’s why probably some people think that something is missing in the drama. But complicated plot, labyrinth of possibilities and mysteries characters are strong point in this show and build a good crime story.

We get to know characters slowly. They hide more than we can read from their words. Truly I was fascinated of actors’ skills and how they portrayed subtle differences and nuances in characters’ mind and soul: the fear of lawyer Han Tae Joo, the rage of young policeman Kim Young Goon, Do Chi Kwang belief in his omnipotence.

I like this drama very much, although the plot is really complicated. The director is consequent and he created the show with the same pace and the same quality in all episodes. Actors are great. The emotions are great. The gray colours of filming are great. Sometimes the good script is enough for handsome Seo Kang Joon to shine.

Because of the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, I could watch Parasite at the cinema on the big screen and this is one a good thing.

I do like:
1. social commentary and sarcastic portrayed contrast between the poor and the rich
2. North Korean speech
3. coherent plot and fast action of the first part of the film
4. black humor in the first part of the film
5. cast, especially Jo Yeo Jung who excellent played naive rich wife
6. motive of revenge

I do not like:
1. Director’s job because it seems like he doesn't know what direction the film must go and what it is about. Is this a sarcastic picture of society and social differences? Or is this a thriller? Or is this an illogical and untrue story, such a storytale and biblical allegory? This is too much for me.
2. oneiric elements and disconnection from reality
3. symbolic and pseudo-symbolic elements
4. unknown motivations of the characters’ action
5. stereotypical characters that thay don't seem like real persons
6. reduction of human nature to social status

I don't know what to think about it:
1. mix of black comedy, thriller and social problems
2. the ending

I watched this out of curiosity, it's not bad but there are many Korean films that I like them more. If you want watch something really good and real you can try Japanese Shoplifters. Or you can enjoy the fact that you have subbs in your language at the cinema.

It’s an average detective drama, and not the good one. The first season was much better and many of the previous qualities are lost here.

First of all the lead lady isn’t the lead any more. Jung Yoo Mi has a minor role here and she does almost nothing. As a prosecutor she has nothing to do.
The funny relationship between the lady prosecutor and Sally is not shown.
The interesting, ambiguous relationship between the lady prosecutor and Baek Beom is not shown.
The promising relationship between prosecutors is not shown.

Well, now I wonder if anything is shown in this drama?

There are three good things:
1. Forensic doctor rude Baek Beom and his investigation
2. Mysterious doctor Jang Chul good played by No Min Woo
3. The return of Lee Yi Kyung with his charisma in the last episode.

It’s watchable. But for me sometimes it was boring and not exciting as the first season.
The end was good, I must admit.

Perfect, adult viewers drama!
There is no first love and young romance, childhood friends, even no simple motive of revenge.
This is a political drama with strong characters who carry the entire show.

Motivations of people's acting, a desire of the power, dreams of perfect society and state are portrayed excellent.
The main question of this story is that: does the end justify the means? Is this a true what Machiavelli said that everyone is evil and you must do anything to gain a political power?
Surprisingly, although there are some corruption motives, this drama isn’t about corruption, but rather about what politics do and what it looks like.

Director’s job is splendid! The director (Kwak Jeong Hwan) is also an author of Miss Hammurabi, and if you like Miss Hammurabi, you will like Chief of staff too.

The acting is brilliant, because:
Kim Dong Jun acting is better and better.
Elliya Lee, after her odd and makjang appearance in The Last Empress, has a real character to play here and I like her.
Lee Jung Jae and Shin Min Ah (the leads) are amazing. They present serious relationship involved in job and moral dilemmas.
Kim Gab Soo (the true lead!) is AWESOME. Try this drama to watch his impressive performance! I hope he will receive an award.

We all know that dividing drama into two parts has no sense, but in this case it breaks in a perfect time.

I watched this movie after reading the review of Life is good and it really deserves a recognition.

It is a beautiful story about growing up, about how teenagers have to deal with family problems, friendship, anger and frustration. All this is told in a beautiful way, because the movie shows in perfect harmony the carelessness of school years, teenage love, violence in family, self-destruction and sweet friendship.
This film among the other Chinese movie I like the most. It has a wonderful visual side, shots and filming are excellent. The director portrayed the complicated emotional life of a girl and a boy. The story is captivating. And there is almost no communist propaganda.
I highly recommend! And you have to watch it to the very end!

I'm totally addicted to this drama, I can’t live without Ho Goo!
I expected some stupid rom-com and cliché drama to fill the time and not to think too much. Instead I watched a wise, a bitter-sweet story, surprising, amazing, touching and heartwarming. I laughed and cried in the same time, because it shows a completed life with innocent first love, up and downs, guilt, hope and real problems in relationships.

Why I love it:
I love it because of two faces of twin-sister (Lee Soo Kyung): the beauty one with perfect make up and eloquent, and the other one: warm, friendly and ugly. Her character is captivating and her relation to twin-brother is the most cordial and warm that you can see in dramas.

I love it because of excellent story. It’s socially involved and touches problems that could concern every girl. The story is about love that must struggle and overcome difficulties. Ho Goo who isn’t clever and quick-witted but his sincere and innocent overcome the fear and uncertainty of Do Hee.

I love the baby. (Isn’t the littlest and cutest baby in kdrama?)

I love every character, everyone eventually grew up. They stole my heart for good. The life that isn’t easy becomes worth to live.

I love Ho Goo, played by Choi Woo Shik. He is praised for his dark role in “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion”, but here as naive, sweet boy is seductive and charming.

I love wonderful love story, or better to say love stories, because emotional adventures of the lawyer Byun Kang Chul (Im Seul Ong) and twin-sister are twisted, tricky and funny! Is it possible to love BOTH male leads? It happened to me.

Why I don’t like it:
...well, there is no single thing I do not like. But, wait, it is one: drama is too short, I wish I could meet my lovely protagonists for 100 ep.! I miss them already.
Music is extraordinary: Vivaldi, Russian ballads and marches, and Korean optimistic vibes – create unique atmosphere.
Drama is really amazing! Of course I’m not going to be objective, it isn’t a drama to be cold mind and objective! I give 100, it’s the rating scale that is wrong.

If you like ambitious drama with important problem to think about, or you want to see optimistic story about overcoming the difficulties of life, or you want to fall in love with Choi Woo Shik – watch this drama!

This Drama has a STORY.

It’s written very well and makes you watching with intense attention. Kim Myung Min is great, his character has two faces, before and after amnesia, and well, it isn’t the only amnesia in this show :)

It’s a classic law drama and there are some difficult and complicated cases with financiers, but also some murders for ‘normal’ viewers. The second half of the drama it’s hard to follow because of heavy financial and economical slang. But we also have some funny moments with Oh Jung Se and then we can breathe a little.

There are two women: Park Min Young—supposed to be a main lead, and fiancee (Chae Jung An). The fiancee is obviously a deeper and more interesting character. The director wants to rescue Park Min Young giving her more screen time, but I think it isn't effective.
Judge Jeon Ji Won (played by Kim Ji Han, loved by everyone Tal Tal) is enigmatic, is he good or bad? You don’t know and you have to wait to the end.

Trying to solve sophisticated financial vocabulary, you can wonder if the screenwriter plays with us and gives us the recipe to create a huge fiscal scam..., but it is not true, right?
I recommend this drama for everyone who loves justice, law, court and handsome judges.

This is a very, very short drama, probably it’s the shortest drama ever.

But surprisingly there are many things to talk about. First of all it’s an artistic project, with unrestricted and free directing (and very small budget), and that’s why this mini-drama is original and sophisticated. The main motive is…a bottle recycling with a fantasy idea of jinn in the bottle.

The plot is rather complicated: we can watch the romance, moral dilemma, supernatural being, comedy and irony, the theme of reusing bottles… what can we not find in 8 min. episode?

I really like this plenty of contents and light, ironical style of the drama.

I can rewatch it anytime, because it’s only 8 minutes long for each episode.
I give 10/10, because it isn’t a classic and serious drama, but rather an experimental one which shows the ability of the director Kim Jung Hoon and I like the result.

Miss Oh, secret agent by chance, is my favorite heroine!

If you are looking for something intense, bloody revenge or emotional roller coaster –it’s not here.
There is no distressing drama, no mix genre: it’s a classic detective (or spy) comedy with a small, sweet romance without tragedy (“Fiery Priest” is also criminal comedy, but heavy, with tragedy in every episode, and I watch it with fear. “Call of the Country” is a nice change after my dark dramas of 2018).

The acting is great, especially female lead- the cop girl (excellent played by Lee Soo Kyung) is amazing. She is clever, brave, charming and funny. I can’t remember if I’ve seen so good written, NOT annoying heroine.
Has the cop girl a better chemistry with the second lead? No way, the main lead – NIS agent (very well played by Kim Sang Kyung) – is an opposite to her, because he is grumpy, stiff, and everything does by book. They have great interactions, dynamic dialogues and funny misunderstandings. The most interesting is how he tries to keep pace with her. He is forced to do unusually, ridiculous things that even he didn’t think about.

There are also some hilarious scenes and the spies’ family is the funniest idea ever!

If you want to lighten the grim mood or have a funny time I recommend this drama. At present there are some comedy dramas, but most of them are not light – they show serious problems, tragedy in the past and scriptwriters often break viewer’s heart. Then watch this drama and forget about the hardships of life.
It’s a good drama, well directed and well written, it deserves for 8,5 but I enjoy it much, because of the female lead, so I give 10/10.
