Trust Japan to always come up with unique stories. This was a good drama. Dark yet humorous. A deadly combination that only J dramas/movies can achieve. Great writing executed by a great cast. I enjoyed this through & through. I do wish this was longer, I wanted more of this found family :) Nao is an actress to look out for. The whole cast was great, but she was fantastic. Highly recommended!!
Some other 90s J dramas that you should check out -Kou Kou KyoushiKono Yo No HateAoi ToriKamisama Mou Sukoshi…
That's so sweet of you. I am glad you enjoy the dramas I recommended. Feel free to reach out if you ever need any recommendations, or want to discuss a drama :)
I dropped this midway through E6. Instead of solving the mystery, I hate the detour they took with the entry of the fiancee. Like why?! So unnecessary & melodramatic. Also hate the way Death Prince backed out just because he fell in love with Aoi (like why & how?!) This had the potential to be more, but E6 just bored the hell out of me. This is like the weakest J drama I have seen in a long time.
Seriously Issei keeps upping his game. It's not just the way he cared for Hayame, but the fact that he told the snake that he wanted all of Hayame, including her past. Seriously that swept my heart away. I wish Hayame heard that. It's your turn Hayame. Go for it!! I am feeling sad that we're nearing the end. 2 episodes left :(
Seriously Seigo creeps me out with his infatuation over Hayame. I dislike him so much. Even worse is that he doesn't show an ounce of affection for his own brother.
Oh my, Hayame's made such a man out of Issei, I love it. Squealed at the ending of E7. Their chemistry is so palpable. I can barely hold my excitement for E8.
Huh?! We must be watching a different drama because there is no overacting here at all. Also, please stop generalizing…
I can agree to disagree with you on the acting.
Re: the generalisation - How many J dramas have you seen to make those generalisations? It's not a fair one at all. Most J dramas aren't even the same, they literally make the most range of dramas with different characterisations (as opposed to other East Asian counterparts). You're probably watching the wrong dramas that are based of animes which require anime-like acting rather than most of the mainstream dramas that have some of the most real acting.
Why bother watching if you got so much problem with the acting or with J dramas in general? No one's forcing you to watch.

Also, please stop generalizing all J dramas.
