Maybe it's just me but I don't need things to be resolved & wrapped up nicely? I just need them to find a way to run on together openly and confidently, regardless of what their parents say (for the leads, Tae Woong, Eun Bi, boxer girl and her brother) & regardless of what society dictates (for Woo Shik & the runners). That's most important IMO.

I trust that the writer won't do that.

Not at all. 3 episodes in, and nope they don't like the same person. It was there for a short while in E1 or E2 (I forgot) but it was quashed pretty quickly.

BTW, we're watching so many of the same shows currently.

I liked this (minus that ending, WTF was that?). It was different from the original versions but it captured the essence of Hana Yori Dango/Meteor Garden 2001. I appreciated its difference, and the changes they made to not only suit modern day, but to audiences who found the leads frustrating in the original versions & manga. Haruto, despite being toned down & child-like, and Oto, despite being less daring & taking the time to come around, were more sincere & mature versions of the leads in the original versions. Their relationship was definitely healthier, unlike the other versions. I could appreciate the ambiguous nature of their relationship in this one (something that always troubled me in the original versions). The acting and soundtrack were decent as well.

Having said that, this does not have the magic of the original Meteor Garden 2001 or HYD, which swept me off my feet when the overbearing ML fell so hard for the FL who refused to give in till the end. Nonetheless, I really liked this & would recommend this to everyone who has watched the original. Everyone should enjoy this for what it is, and not compare this to HYD/Meteor Garden 2001.

I disagree. There are still a lot of nice romantic J dramas from the recent years - In This Corner of the World, Neechan No Koibito, Remolove, Kono Koi Atatamemasu Ka, Todome No Kiss, Perfect World, Boku Dake ga 17-sai no Sekai de, Takane No Hana, Cherry Magic and so many more.. i just listed those at the top of my head.

So many brilliant J dramas on this drama have such a low rating WTH

Also, why didn't they use this angle in the actual episode? Like in this BTS, you can really see them kissing & it seemed longer compared to what was shown in the drama
