Yes, I keep wondering where that storyline is going. Are they building up a romance between his geriatric behind and her young, silly self? 😳. He’s a very nice man (especially for an emperor) for not pushing her into anything, but still, no, just no. I cannot.

The way he’s thoroughly fallen for her. The way he excitedly prepared for her to move in. The nervousness when cleaning her shoulder wound. That scene in the grass by the lake.

I believe the writing will address the cruelty of the mother blaming her son for the daughter’s death. It was addressed in the original, in “Go Ahead.” Actually, her ex tore into her a bit, but didn’t properly exactly say the words, “You are cruel and deranged.” I think we’ll get more scenes where she can understand what she is.
