Spilled hot tea on her deliberately ep 29, I think
He was pushed into an arranged marriage even though he had Jin Zhao in his heart, something he never confessed to anyone. He hasn’t married his fiancée yet and took a work assignment in a different city to stall the marriage. He probably thought that stalling would somehow enable him to be free of this situation. But, of course, that never happened. He was secretly nursing feelings for Jin Zhao and was stunned to learn she was going to marry his uncle, the ML.
Yea he is the young version of takeshi kaneshiro. Love a manly ML! I wonder if he is going to take on more romance…
He’s a bad kisser. He might need to stick with action dramas. I feel like die-hard romance drama fans might get exasperated with him if lackluster kisses are what we get from him every time. Then again, he might be appealing enough without them, like Allen Ren. I personally, however, quit watching Allen Ren dramas despite his good acting and good looks. I might do the same with Ci Sha if I see more of this in his future dramas. That’s just me though.
Enjoying this despite some absurdities but I really cannot stand the trope of a character unable to express their…
I feel like this rings true in real life though. I’ve known women who want others to discern their feelings, then get upset because you/others didn’t just magically figure out what they wanted. It’s a real thing that happens.
I thoroughly enjoyed this drama—just want to make that clear. But, what are some plot points or character developments that you feel needed more scenes or needed to be expounded upon?
For me: 1. The “premarital pregnancy” comment—I needed some more history or a flashback or something on that 2–The Grand Prince’s warning/begging his brother not to marry Queen Mother—What did Ian mean? Why was Ian so upset in that moment? Later on, however, Ian told the King to pay more attention to QM. Ian seemed at peace with her being his sister in-law at one point. All these elements needed more clarification and scenes to explain. 3. The former King’s angst and unhappiness—I feel like I wanted more specifics into why he found being King so unbearable, specific incidents that drove him to this. I wanted to understand him more. Did he suffer from depression? 4. How Ian and Huiju never crossed paths after high school—How was that possible, especially given they had a mutual friend? That says to me that their mutual friend, the Prime Minister, had been deliberately manipulating situations to keep them apart for years. That is conjecture though. I would have loved some scenes showing their lives throughout college and post-college so that we could have seen the Prime Minister being manipulative in his younger days. If we had had this context, it might have made Prime Minister’s maniacal behavior and obsession with Huiju, to the point of attempted murder, more believable. 5. Ian’s naïveté—For example, his complete trust in Prime Minister. Even to the very end, Ian was stunned to learn his friend’s true nature. Why was he so naive and trusting? Why was he so slow to piece together the truth about who tried to take his life? 6. Ian and Huiju’s life after marriage—I would have liked a scene showing Ian at work in his foundation. I would also like to know which profession he ends up in after no longer being a royal. What had he always wanted to be, but couldn’t previously when he was a royal? I also would have liked to have seen more married-life scenes with them fixing breakfast together, both scrambling to get out the house for work—that sort of thing. 7. Jail time for Prime Minister—What kind of punishment did he get? I would have liked to have seen the sentencing.
You won’t last long here if you get upset about a reasonable exchange of thoughts and viewpoints. Feel free to block me because I will continue to comment freely on your or anyone’s post as I have done nothing wrong here. I have not spoken disrespectfully to you, but you have cursed and insulted me for no reason.
There are different degrees of annoying, that is true. We all have our various tolerance levels for which brand of annoying we can stand and which we can’t.
1. She barged into her ex’s apartment and guilted him into allowing her to stay. Loser behavior. 2. She flirted with her ex in front of In Ah deliberately to mislead In Ah about the relationship and make her jealous when she could suspected that her ex had interest in In Ah. Loser behavior. 3. She barged into her ex’s room without knocking, which he objected, showing her lack of respect for his privacy and no sense of proper boundaries between men and women. Loser behavior.
They are half-brothers not stepbrothers. Half-siblings have one shared biological parent. Stepsiblings have zero biological parent in common and are only siblings because of the parent’s marriage to someone new. In this drama, the two brothers have the same biological father but different mothers, hence they are half-brothers not stepbrothers.
Why was she curious about and fascinated with the blonde hair and blue eyes, but screamed her head off, afraid and frightened, at the sight of the black man? 😑🤨🙄. The subtle message there—OMG Korea, will you never learn to overcome your unconscious biases?!🤦🏾♀️
