I have unmasked the woman in the veil because I have finished this drama!Just as expected, my opinion did not…
One thing is for sure, if I rewatch The Two Sisters I am watching it on my laptop so I can easily fast forward through all the scenes with Hyeji's parents 🤣 I will NOT be giving them a second chance
OMG how could I forget about Princess Aurora! I remember reading soompi articles calling it the screenwriters Death Note because she killed off an insane amount of characters including the ML BUT didn't even tell the actors. And the nepotism drama too since iirc one of the characters ended dup being related to her ðŸ˜
I gotta look into Feed Me/Give Me Food. I've never heard of it before but that title is interesting lol
I have unmasked the woman in the veil because I have finished this drama!Just as expected, my opinion did not…
What happened to SBS dailies was so tragic. Phoenix 2020... I wonder if I should give it a go. I watched up to about the part Jieun's dad got ran over.
Secret House has me wanting to see more of Seo Hajoon and I'd rather watch Phoenix 2020 than The Two Sisters. I need a new controversial daily drama to watch lol, what's another one to add to my list ðŸ˜
Kang-Jae was wildin out 24/7, it was almost hilarious to watch 😠chaos incarnate!I loved Eun-Jae's training…
iirc the ML was going to take her to some kind of facility/institution ? I don’t think they specified but I figured she would be locked up for a while lol. But don’t quote me on this it’s been 4 years lol
I said it before I’ll say it again … nansuk needs some actual thugs around her if she’s gonna be taken seriously…
Thanks for bringing up a glaring plot hole that I’ve never considered - nansook, being a loan shark would absolutely have gangsters at her beck and call. Because how else would she shake down people who don’t pay her back on time?
I agree we still have all those questions to be answered and plot lines to be addressed. I just hope they are answered over the next four weeks and this drama doesn’t fall into the “let’s wait until the last three episodes to wrap everything up “ trap
Yup, today's episode was pretty much filler. What was Young-chae blackmailing Se-mi with? I'm not sure nor do…
Damn I thought I replied lol but remember in the beginning of the drama, when both Youngchae and Jeongwon both applied to Kunhyang in the original blind hiring ? And how Youngchae got the job but not Jeongwon? That was Semi’s doing. Even tho Hyera wanted a total blind process, semi still filtered the applications by education anyway. Which is why Youngchae got hired despite not having the talent - because she went to Royal Art (which I imagine to be basically FIT lol)
Youngchae is blackmailing her because it would cause controversy if that was leaked to the media. Since people passing over graduates from mid or low tier colleges in favor of graduates from SKY universities - Seoul national university, yonsei university and Korea university - is something that happens a lot in SK
This episode felt ... repetitive. My personal highlights were: Jeongwon baiting Sehoon to "try harder and kill her properly next time", (because it further drives home just how inept of a villain Sehoon is) Nansook confronting Sehoon at the end... He's cooked. RIP it was nice knowing you. Like it's been well established that Nansook loves Haneul more than life itself. Screenwriter PLEASE don't disappoint me with what happens next!
As for the repetitiveness; I guess we've reached that point in the daily where we get filler until the final climax. Some of it was pretty nice to see like Jeongwon and Haneul but some of it was just meh, like Hyera. I wonder how many more scenes we will get of her staring at Taeseok and thinking about what she will do to him? Lets bring their storyline back into Kunhyang because their corporate drama is much more interesting.
Speaking of Kunhyang. Maybe it's because this drama is full of active sinners but the screenwriter could've come with something more ... excitng for Youngchae to blackmail Semi with. Because quite frankly Semi's "crime" pales in comparison to things like attempted murder, actual murder, embezzlement and identity theft. But if this is what gets us out of this hamster wheel of "Jin Taeseok is bad let's just talk about it" I'll take it. Tomorrow's episode seems to focus more on the design team... and we're going to revisit the Youngchae stealing designs storyline. Hopefully she gets exposed lol
It’s not a pride thing that she has to kill him cause he was tied up and could have easily gotten rid of him…
Yes I am! The first time I ever watched a daily was in 2010 with pink lipstick but I was too young to understand the art form of the makjang at the time lol
To answer your question the only other times a makjang has made me angry was when: - The first time I watched The Promise, I rage quit it because Dohee got killed
&
- the two sisters - the dad should've sought custody for both of his daughters instead of assuming a gambling addict would be a responsible mother. And it PMO because the story made it seem like he was such a good dad
&
The last 20 or so episodes of Woman in a Veil aka How Not to Write a Daily Drama 💀💀💀
It’s not a pride thing that she has to kill him cause he was tied up and could have easily gotten rid of him…
Hyera setting Taeseok free is mind-boggling... Especially since he strangled her afterwards. But it's okay, because Mihyang and her tofu and salt will save the day 😂
Like this may be the first or second time I've actually felt angry at a daily drama (and I've seen a lot)
Well that was the most awkward family dinner ever!
Sehoon actually does something of note of this episode... Yes, he mows Jeongwon down with his Genesis. I wonder if Jeongwon is going to die for real or if we're going to go through another round of watching her lie in a coma....? Or we could make this interesting and have Hyera and Haneul fake her death and use that as a way to psychologically break Sehoon and Youngchae...
I hope Hyera feels guilty AF next episode because this wouldn't have happened if she didn't let Taeseok out. "We can't try him or report him." Yeah that's why Jeongwon's original idea was better... psychologically torture him while keeping him tied up... You know, taking matters into your own hands, instead of relying on the authorities? It becomes confusing because that's why Hyera let him out anyway... I guess this is a pride thing where she HAS to be the one to kill him
Side note I was definitely rolling my eyes when she was asking Jeongwon why they couldn't meet after 25 years. Hyera, YOU are why you & Jeongwon couldn't meet after 25 years 😠the only good part about this whole plotline was seeing Minjeong jumping to action with her tranquilizer pen
Nice juxtaposition between Nansook's conversation with Haneul and her conversation with Youngchae.. Although that makes me wonder, if Sangcheol never died, would she had completely abandoned Youngchae? I do like how this drama is subverting parent and child (bio/non bio) relationships.
Manager Hwang is super persistent and it's kind of annoying how he keeps popping up at Mihyang's store. But at least next episode we get a scene of Mihyang running up on Taeseok, like that will actually do anything!
So "Where in the world is Jin Taeseok" only lasted one episode.
Sehoon using Taeseok's "logic" against him was pretty entertaining because I definitely remember when Taeseok would drop that advice to him earlier in the series. (I also believe there's a twist involved with this slush fund... No way did Taeseok give him complete control of that....)
Seems like shit is going to get real (again) - if the foreshadowing by Grandma/Chef Hong and the tarot reading didn't clue you in, we're heading towards ... Taeseok going nuclear, something happening because of it, and whatever it will be, it will leave Jeongwon with a lot of angst. (Her last card was 10 of swords which equals like angst, darkness and depression).
Oh but the true highlight of this episode was Jeongwon slapping Youngchae and telling her off lmao. Especially since Sehoon hasn't had feelings for Jeongwon in a while and Jeongwon is CLEARLY into Haneul ðŸ˜
The preview... Taeseok proclaiming he's immortal, yeah he's about to go off the deep end lmaoooo
Kang-Jae was wildin out 24/7, it was almost hilarious to watch 😠chaos incarnate!I loved Eun-Jae's training…
Yes! I've been thinking about rewatching it for a while now but I loved the premise, and the fact that Eunjo/Gaheon went NUCLEAR after Jina got killed.
When she killed Serin's dad and didn't flinch that's when I picked up on how hardcore she was. Or the psychological head games she pulled on Hara and Serin, who got served with one of the worst fates I've seen a kdrama daily villain end up with ... Or the fact that the series ends with her getting locked up because she went THAT far with her revenge. I didn't like the ending when it aired but in retrospect, I liked it because a true revenge incarnate gets revenge no matter the costs or the consequences. Jina dying spurned one of the best kdrama revenge tours I've ever seen lol
First of all I'm very happy with how fast the whole "Jeongwon is Taeseok's daughter" truth got revealed.…
By assassinate Jeongwon's character I mean the screenwriter forgets ALL the development ALL the legwork Jeongwon put in... to completely have her act out of character or something, ie her forgiving Taeseok and they become Father-Daughter duo of the year lol. But I have trust in this screenwriter that she won't do that
Manager Hwang dying would be the ultimate atonement for what he did to the original Jeongwon. Although Youngchae and Sehoon dying is what's probably best for their characters - they aren't reaching Final Boss status and I don't want them to get redeemed lol.
I forgot Jina is supposed to be feeding Hyera information and she's cunning too (I think this is why I like her better than Sunghee who is clearly the most upright person on the design team)
I wonder how Nansuk would react to Youngchae's death tbh like she clearly favors Haneul but she'd definitely mourn.
We're in the part of the drama where the story is starting to pick up I really hope the Olympics don't take away from the momentum ðŸ˜
And you're welcome! The whole car accident situation is a doozy!
First of all I'm very happy with how fast the whole "Jeongwon is Taeseok's daughter" truth got revealed.…
Oh yes - Haneul really locked tf in, him luring Taeseok out with the intention of killing him made me do a double take 😠I NEVER would've thought the Haneul from the beginning would do that ???
I agree there's no way that Taeseok is making it out this drama alive lol I wouldn't be surprised if he gets run over by Nansook at the end? (Since I doubt Nansook will end up as a free woman lol)
There's no way Youngchae and/or Sehoon are reaching Final Boss status. I don't even want them too because they're the weakest links right now. Its not even fun watching them play pretend. I think one will die and the other will end up in jail. Or maybe they both will get busted for embezzlement or something lol
The whole Manager Hwang and Mihyang thing reminds me of Queen's House, when Yookyung admitted to Seungwoo that she signed off on Jaein's psychiatric stay. They didn't end up together in the end and I wonder what direction A Graceful Liar is going to take this in?
The actor who plays Taeseok is chilling at this role. Especially when he talks about his "flower" like that's one of the more chilling monologues I've seen in a daily drama. I will never get over the fact that he was the friendly grandfather in Cinderella Game lol as for Taeseok I'm invested in his downfall.
Especially since I agree with you and think Taeseok will escape (I think next episode, Taeseok will BS Sehoon about his birth mom just to manipulate Sehoon into being set free) and Taeseok WILL be back with a vengeance.
Provided the writer doesn't completely assassinate Jeongwon's character she is probably my favorite daily drama FL. In fact, I'm thinking of making a list of the dailies with my favorite female leads...
And yes I thought Lee Dohyun was a man at first too lol Shin Eunkyung is a major reason why I want to watch that drama I feel like she would absolutely body a tvN daily drama FL (and how I wish tvN made more dailies ðŸ˜)
Oh and the car accident thing is like: Hyera was so tormented between the choice of living as Youngsun, the wife of a murderer (which she REALLY didn't want to do) or going to Taeseok, especially since Taeseok wasn't going to accept Sooa. So the accident was her way of "bartering with the heavens" where if she died, she would die for the sin of considering to abandon her xaughter, or if she lived, she would take it as God giving her "permission" to marry Taeseok. So she paid off the truck driver. However, Taeseok found out via Minjeong and asked her to bring the truck driver to him. Taeseok then told the truck driver to "not kill her". The entire scenario is peak makjang and I love it lol)
OMG how could I forget about Princess Aurora! The maid is definitely a hustler that's for sure. I wonder how far she's going to get ðŸ˜
This will probably be the next drama on my list that I end up finishing. The darker tone really does hook you in!
Secret House has me wanting to see more of Seo Hajoon and I'd rather watch Phoenix 2020 than The Two Sisters. I need a new controversial daily drama to watch lol, what's another one to add to my list ðŸ˜
