Are there romantic or romcoms dramas he’s played in like my dearest or beautiful gong shim ?
Undateables. I couldn't get past the 2nd episode because I can't handle the over-the-top FL. But his character is very cute in there, so it's worth checking out if you're into romcoms.
ep 10 is out now on my end (singapore) - so hopefully it's out elsewhere too!!
Thank you. No new episode on US Netflix yet. But it says next episode Wednesday, so it is consistent with January 8th. Hopefully, I will get it tomorrow *fingers crossed*
Is there a way to watch ep10 without vpn? Netflix advertised new episodes but the list is still stuck on 9. It's the same with okura. It is stupid that i need to pay for vpn just to watch the last episode
They could have ended the show nicely, but they had to put the cliffhanger set up for next season right at the end. It was a fun and easy watch, but that ending kind of ruined it for me.
I just binged ep8 to the end in one go. I like the mystery elements a lot even though it's a bit predictable. The story moves quickly and is a quick and fun watch.
I recently became a huge fan when I finally got around to watching the Veil. I liked him in Awaken, but he is so different in the Veil I didn’t even recognize him at first. I watched one dollar lawyer next and that and started me on a binge of his shows. I do not like romance or melodrama as a rule, so I did Stove league, Good manager and Falsify next.
I am now stuck between choosing to watch a romance or him as villain/antihero. I gave Beautiful Kong Shim a try and somehow managed to turn brain off and enjoy his performance. But I don't think I could have handled that show if I wasn't coming off a 2nd re-watch of Good manager.
Which other drama of his would you recommend I try next? Dr Prisoner is more my kind of show but I heard his character is amazing in Dearest.
I don’t usual watch romance but I recently became a huge fan of Namkoong Min and am going through his dramas. I have to say, as much as his portrayal of the ML is adorable for most parts, the ML's behavior is totally horrible whenever his relationship with FL is about to get serious (starting about mid-way through). I honestly cannot believe the FL just put up with and forgive all of that. I mean the first time was bad but it is a little understandable given the ML is not in the right headspace, but the next two times?!
I can't help but feel like ML character got assassinated so that they can introduce more conflict and make the show longer. The ML was so sweet in the beginning that it's hard to imagine him capable of doing what he did.
It reminds me of why I don’t usually watch romance. I feel like my common sense is being insulted and want to smack the leads. The only difference is that this time I somehow managed to watch the ML and FL performances with my rational brain off. I even enjoyed their quirkiness, humor and chemistry even though my brain is telling me it makes no sense.
Started this after watching Ghost Doctor and Welcome to Life since I wanted to check out more of Rain's other dramas. I'm on episode two and I'm feeling like my intelligence is being insulted. The random thugs giving away secrets, the FLs reactions and the ML's instant inexplicable attraction to FL, none of that makes sense.
The FL has like one expression and as much as the ML looks believably sweet with the FL, I cannot understand why he'd be so into her when they've just met. I am glad this is only 10 episodes. I don't think i can stand more even though I adore seeing ML in a suit.
Just started watching. Marry my dead body was silly at times but it's mostly very funny and sweet. It was touching in its own way. This show is cringingly stupid by comparison. I know its like a spoof and I laughed pretty hard at the opening song (spoofing James Bond). But I wish they would just focus on ML, FL and chief and get rid of all the other detectives. Their antics are just ridiculous and not funny.
Just started watching. I'm only on episode 1 and am already having a hard time watching younger FL. Her maturity/common sense level is well below 28. I hope her older version acts with a bit more maturity. Or it's going to be hard for me to continue. I think I may be too old for the show...
I just finished the show. The ending was so rushed and convenient. Who the final villian was doesn’t make much sense. The cases were a bit predictable but pretty decent until the end. It would be an 8 for me except for the ending.
I am going to stop watching season 4. The rules and points scores this season make no sense to me. The top scoring performance of the 1st show was not rewarded but punished with elimination of a member. In the 2nd show, one of the coolest performances got an unbelievablely low score. I think it's all scripted now. I will just catch the pure stage performances later.
I'm watching for ML. Mysterious lotus casebook is one of my favorite shows. I'm on episode 5 now. I usually love mysteries but I can't seem to get into it. The story is moving so slow. Will the pace pick up? I'm coming off of strange tales of tang dynasty 2 and am thinking about a re-watch of that rather than continuing this show
On episode 13. I love the show. But this episode is stretching suspense of disbelief a little too far. Where does one get a bag full of dead poisonous bees to keep in the kitchen canbinet? Also where does one get a swarm of live poisonous bees in a duffel bag? Is there a black market insect supplier in the show's universe where one can buy insect based murder weapons?
Just binged the first 4 episodes. This is so good! I usually stay away from cdrama set in this time period since I fjnd it depressing, and from the comments, this one will be no exception. But I like everything about it so far - the pace, the acting, the "wall street" like plot. I can only hope this won't end too badly, with almost everyone dying for what they believed in *sigh*
I just binged this again over the weekend. It's every bit as good as I remembered. I love all the cases and characters. I wish there's a second season.
Just finished. I think the series finished strong. I was worried the last case would be a letdown since the 2nd to last was the climatic one. But it turns out to be a nice epilogue to wrap up the series by giving the ML and FL a case to handle their grief and to move on. It's predictable but the atmosphere is quite nice and eerie. I think I am going to ignore the teaser at the end and may skip season 2. This one was already too heavy and philosophical for me. From what's in the teaser, I am not going to like season 2.

I just finished ep 15 now. I'm looking forward to ML going back to Thailand now that the professor's case is wrapped up.
