I really really tried, but I just can't get into this. I'm 3/4 way through episode two and there's just no flow. It's just this scene happens, then the next scene happens, etc. It doesn't feel like an organic progression of the story. Even Gemini and Fourth can't save this. I loved them in My School President and My Love Mix-Up!, but this just feels like a misfire. I hope everyone who is enjoying it, keeps enjoying, but this just isn't for me, sadly. 😢
I had this marked as "plan to watch" and happened upon the first episode this evening. I do like Gemini and Fourth, and they have great chemistry together, but I think I'm just bored with them. I know for some people they love seeing the same pairings over and over again, but I just feel like I'm watching them tread the same ground in a different series. This story could be interesting and this'll probably sound weird, but knowing they work well together as a pair actually makes me less interested in watching it. You don't get that spark of excitement seeing the chemistry develop when you know it's already there. Maybe I'll give the second episode a go, and seeing it is 6 episodes in total, it won't be an ordeal to watch, so fingers crossed it might deliver something worthwhile.
It takes a lot for me to drop a series part way through, but I just hit my limit half way through episode 8. Why oh why do they have to drag out these stories and fill them with rubbish. Before I started watching this, I thought it would be quite a dark and intense series based on the subject matter, seeing it involved hitmen and murder, but no, they still have to inject endless goofiness and nonsense into it, which totally breaks the mood. I really like Khaotung and First, but please please please stop with the fixed pairings of actors. It's so boring. It just feels like you're watching the same show over and over again. Don't get me started on Dunk. I cannot stand him. I haven't enjoyed his performance in anything I've seen him in.
Maybe I've just outgrown these series, but I remember a time when I would happily watch virtually everything that came out and actually enjoy it. I probably skip or drop more series now than I watch all the way through. Sad.
Every once in a while a series comes along that has a little more depth to it than the usual. This had a slightly darker edge and an intriguing story, which I like. I'll admit that I enjoyed the concept of this, but I think the execution let it down at times. The characters could simultaneously work out complicated games without being told any of the rules, but then stare blankly at one another when something completely obvious came along. I think the performances were good and we had a diverse group of characters. Also, I think this was the first thing I've seen Gemini in that wasn't BL, so that was worthwhile in itself. I feel one of the things that often let down these type of series is that there aren't any stakes. You know everyone is going to make it out in the end so there's no real emotional weight or tension. There is a set-up for a second season, but maybe it's better to leave it without one rather than retread old ground or try to wring out another story that may end up feeling the same.
I may have been encouraged to watch this because Gemini was in it, but I must say that Teshow is distractingly handsome. 😍
I really enjoyed this. I'll admit the first few episodes dragged a little, but it did find its feet and progressed nicely. I always like to see something that isn't just the standard BL fare and offers a good mix of genuine emotion and humour. For a young actor, Tar put in a very good performance.
I don't know if it was the uncut or non-uncut version I watched, but I'll post this here too.
Without question, this is one of the worst things I've ever watched all the way through. It's just so boring. The fact that majority of the episodes were over an hour is insane.
In typical fashion, the only reason for the main couple to be together is that the script says so. Pat is probably one of the most insufferable and insipid characters I've seen in a long time and should be grateful that*anyone* is interested in him, let alone two (!!!) high status men. I don't think since Theo in Enchanté has there someone less deserving of attention from multiple men. The lack of chemistry between the two leads was downright embarrassing. At one stage I think Pat was crying and asking why Jeng likes him and I was like, yeah, right, why?!?!?! Jeng crying over Pat had me cringing in ways I thought impossible.
The secondary storylines are completely unnecessary and contribute nothing. Like so many of these series, they insist on a huge cast and end up with characters that you know little about and care even less. The mind-numbingly tedious meeting scenes and discussions about marketing were about as exciting as a trip to the dentist.
This could have been mildly tolerable if they'd cut back on the length of episodes and scrapped redundant scenes and storylines. Also, cast a couple that lights up the screen, rather than put you to sleep would help immeasurably.

I started out with such high hopes for this series, but it turned out to be what put me off Thai dramas for about two years. I tried to pick up where I left off, but all it did was remind me why I didn't watch it for all this time. Nothing feels truly organic and just seems like we're going through the usual box-ticking. Also, what could be quite a solid, emotional series, is constantly undermined by relentless background music. Give the viewers some credit, we can actually tell when a scene is meant to carry some weight or if it's meant to be comical without overlaying obnoxious music. I'm just going to drop it at this point, which is such a shame because the premise is really nice and I like a lot of the cast.
Another forgettable series. Jimmy and Sea put in a decent performance, but nothing about this was particularly original or interesting. Fortunately it's only 10 episodes, but a lot of the time I still found myself looking at my phone or not giving it my full attention. It seems the standard now that the characters have an unearned relationship and we get episode after episode of fluff or BL trope bingo. I'm sure the people this is targeted at loved it, but it was just working my way through my watchlist for me.
That said, the bulk of people worldwide are toxic one way or another, so maybe it is good that the series is portraying…
I think the problem for me is that other than the story dictating it, we're often not given a satisfying reason for the couple to be together, especially when they seem to have a toxic relationship. I've lost count of the number of series where it's episode 2 or 3 and suddenly they are together and it's happily ever after, without giving us any reason why they should be together in the first place and why we should care.
With this series, I appreciate an exploration of a darker tone of their relationship, but the happier ending would be Jira going his own way. I felt the ending was a little rushed as it was and could have done more to show that Ko had really changed. I had no idea how many episodes this was and when things were winding up in episode 10, I thought, Really? That's it?
I think I'm coming to the realisation that I'm not the target market for a lot of these shows now and rather than wanting to see characters get together, people just want to see whatever the current pairing is getting together no matter the strength or dynamic of their relationship.
Anyway, it's good to have a respectful discussion about things. Going back to my original point, I didn't hate it, but I just didn't enjoy it. Maybe I identified too closely with Pheem. 😆😭

Fair enough. Everyone has a different takeaway, I just find it hard to get really invested in a series when I see a couple that should not be together. If I had a friend like Jira and saw he was getting involved with someone like Ko, I wouldn't exactly be excited for him and that feeling translates to watching a series like this. I don't exactly want happily ever after, but after sticking with a developing relationship for 10 episodes, I'd like to think they have some chance of sustaining something healthy. Whereas with a series like this I just feel like Ko will end up doing the dirty on Jira and rather than Jira ditching him, he'll just keep going back for more. Maybe that's real life, but I don't exactly watch these for real life. Nor do I want nonsense and fluff.
I didn't hate this, but I can't say I enjoyed watching it. I will say that the first few episodes were intriguing and the darker tone was something different, but the more I saw the more I could tell that it was just another series with a toxic couple that should never be together.
When I started on this I didn't think much of it, the first two episodes were meh and I almost didn't bother, but episode three was where I started to enjoy it. I was okay with the slow pacing and drawn out episodes until I discovered at episode seven that there were sixteen episodes in total. Uhhh, what? I still have nine episodes to go?!?!
There is no possible reason to make this sixteen episodes. They stretched out a story that could have been easily resolved in eight or ten, or, if you must, twelve with the requisite filler episodes, but sixteen is a joke. I don't know how many times we had to see them drinking, which played out the same every time. We not only got filler episodes with the volunteer camp, the amusement park, Peem's family home, and Krabi, we had countless scenes where they kept questioning their developing relationships over and over and over again. Don't get me started on every scene where there was a kiss or some form of affection that we had to see in slo-mo with half a dozen different angles. These things made the whole series feel interminable.
Another issue I had was the number of characters. I guess they expanded the show to fit the episodes, so they had to fill in it in somehow by pairing up anyone who even had a fleeting glance at one another. It tends to be a common occurrence with Thai series to have a large cast, but this was excessive. But I suppose they have them on the books, so they put their actors in anything that comes along.
Trying to be positive, the overall dynamic between the actors was good. Many of them have probably worked together countless times, so there's a natural chemistry on screen. The acting itself, for most of the cast was decent at times. I watched this after Me and Thee and think Pond can show some versatility. I like Phuwin, but what I've seen him in, he always seems to end up playing the same character or playing it in the same way. Aou/Tan was annoying the hell out of me and made me cringe any time he appeared on screen because I was awaiting his over-the-top performance. And here I am trying to be positive. Look, they had the basis of a typical trope-filled enemy to lovers series, but tried to make it longer than it should have been. They could have broken it up a bit and had more developed secondary characters/couples, but everyone was fairly one-dimensional and was just another cute, interchangeable, floppy-haired BL actor in a BL series.
8.3? What the hell are you people smoking. This was such a weak, meh sort of series. Nothing really memorable about it. Speed running the plot so that the main couples are together by like episode 2 or 3 and then fluff for the rest of it. Even the teachers' relationship was pretty lame. The only decent couple in this was Tar and Per.
It must be said, but Mick's acting was so bad. . Why oh why do they keep giving lead roles to actors who either can't act, or don't have the experience. Give them some secondary roles and then see if they are ready for a lead role. Occasionally he'd show a glimmer of something, but most of the time he had the same bland expression.
I thought Luke and Chokun put in good performances and Paul and Ken's chemistry was great.
This could have been 8 episodes and *maybe* been tolerable, but 12 was just too much and just felt like it was working its way through the BL trope checklist. I can only guess that I'm not the target for this series and that if you want anything beyond cutesy sweetness you should look elsewhere.
This was the first Thai series I'd watched in two years after a decade of solidly watching them. Overall, it was okay, with a different scenario, so I started with slightly higher expectations. Unfortunately, it fell into the trap of having them develop feelings for one another way too quickly, so there's no real build-up. Of course, you had the mid-series slump where there are a few episodes that really contribute nothing other than sweet moments and fluff. Ohm put in a good performance, and I liked that we had an original storyline as opposed to the typical school romance, but by the final episode, I was looking forward to it being over. Maybe I'm not the target audience, but I miss the series where the moment the couple finally get together feels earned, rather than a mere stepping stone.
I'm still enjoying this. I like that they are taking time to build up the relationship and giving us a reason to be invested in it. Jimmy and Sea have a really easy to watch chemistry. Namtam is a favourite of mine and I really like the role she's playing in this. She's often the temptress, so it's nice to see her in as a more down to earth character.
My only criticism so far and which I only really noticed in the second episode was the overuse of music. Rather than saving it for particularly emotional moments, it seems they are falling into the trap of underestimating the viewer's intelligence. I think we all know when something is supposed to be humorous without the goofy music in the background. I just find it a little intrusive and now that I've noticed it's really distracting. Anyway, if that's the worst I have to say about it, then it's a pretty low-level fault to find.
It's been a while since I've been this optimistic about a series. So far there's just something about this that gives me some hope that I will enjoy it a lot. I get the sense it will pack an emotional punch and the actors can actually act, which seems to be a rarity with a lot of series lately. So, please please please don't disappoint me.
Congratulations to anyone who was able to keep track of everything that was going on in this. I just finished it and still don't really think anything really tied it all together. Way too many characters and stories and to be honest it felt like watching half a dozen different series at once.
I'm not up to date with this and when I start to catch up I realise why. Yet another series where the initial premise is essentially resolved within the first couple of episodes and then we are left with tired scenario after tired scenario. Chimon and Perth deserve waaaaaay better than this. I don't think I could be polite with someone who tormented me, let along develop feelings for them, but this is the world of BL where none of that needs to make sense because the plot has determined that they must be together.
Maybe I've just outgrown these series, but I remember a time when I would happily watch virtually everything that came out and actually enjoy it. I probably skip or drop more series now than I watch all the way through. Sad.
