This is so much better than I thought. I like the way the story unfolds. There are a lot of side characters/couples…
I wasn't much of a fan to begin with but I'm really enjoying it now. Just enough development to keep it interesting, without rushing or dragging. :) I don't know what happened to WhyRU. I don't know if because of COVID they've had to edit episodes or whether filming has been compromised, but the last few episodes haven't been as good.
“I just want to say that I've binge-watched it in 3 days and my experience was different from the one of those…
I'd agree with that. Waiting all week and getting a dragged out episode of 'nothing' was disappointing. Even worse when I'd skim through an episode in half the time and then think I still have another week until the next one.
This series. What to say about this series. My main issues with it are that for one, I felt there was a huge disconnect…
When I watched the first episode and saw In/Korn's final moments I was crying, but I just never felt the emotional intensity after that. The constant flashbacks killed it for me I think. Nothing really made me think these characters deserved to be reincarnated and reunited. Pharm and Dean were dull and had zero chemistry.
Earth and Nine literally carried this whole shows both acting and story on their back tbh. Ive never watched Fluke's…
I just watched 'Red Wine in the Dark Night' the other day and Fluke was really good in it. UWMA actually feels like a step backwards in his acting, but I think that was mainly because of the script and direction. I got sick of the constant shy/innocent P'Dean! any time Dean did anything remotely romantic or provocative. Admittedly I did begin to skim the episodes towards the end so maybe I'm missing out on something, but sadly I doubt it.
If not for my rule of not ever dropping a series once I started on them, I would have dropped this. I keep giving…
True. Pharm and Dean were totally lacking any chemistry. Pharm was painfully shy and Dean was cold. Yawn. These two were destined to be together, but you wouldn't know it from their personalities or interactions. Win/Team had a real spark, but they were given so little time. I know, I know, this series is about Pharm/Dean and Win/ Team have their own story, but if you're going to include them in this series at least make it worthwhile. I began to skip all the In/Korn scenes because I had no interest in them whatsoever.
Currently watching this and I feel like it's a good story but the drama itself is soooo draggy and slow, 17 eps…
I agree. 17 episodes was too many. Especially when it just felt like we were going over the same thing again and again. Really interesting concept, but poorly executed.
I guess I'm the only one who hasn't been dazzled by this drama! I really liked the beginning of the drama, I can't…
You definitely aren't the only one. I though this show had a lot of promise before it started and the first episode was really emotional, but I just never felt like it really hit the mark after that. My main problem was that because Dean and Pharm were destined to be together they never had any real obstacles to their relationship and so it was all... meh.
17 episodes was way too many and by the end I was skipping through most of the scenes. It took me almost 2 months to get around to watching the last episode and even then I skimmed it.
I'm I the only one that doesn't seem to enjoy this series anymore, I was so hyped for this series but it just…
I had high expectations too, but it has been a letdown. I think one of the major problems for me is that because Dean and Pharm were 'destined' to be together, their relationship just existed without any development or buildup. Far more interested in WinTeam, but sadly get so little of them.
Ok I'm sorry but I don't understand why everyone likes this drama so much. It got boring after like 9 episodes…
I feel the same. The whole series feels like it is taking forever to get anywhere. Don't get me started on the soundtrack. The same stupid music over and over.
This series must be the biggest disappointment of 2019. I was excited to see (most of) the 2Moons cast get a new show, but Hotel Stars is painfully boring. The original preview had me hopeful that this would be a fun and maybe BL themed series, but was I ever wrong. Every episode I expect to rewarded for sticking with it, but every episode I'm left shaking my head. I feel really sorry for the cast that they are stuck with this garbage.
