This isn't a bad film, I just enjoyed the part set in the past more. I found the present day/future part a bit clumsy or awkward. Maybe because I'd seen the development between the younger actors, when it switched to the older actors it didn't feel right.
Hopefully as the years go by, fewer and fewer people will have to suffer not being able to express their love for one another.
Anyone else just not into this series? I've watched the first two episodes and got through part 1 of episode 3 and I just don't see much point continuing. So many good actors, but the flimsiest of story lines. Such a shame.
I don't want to be too harsh with this series, but it was terrible. Initially I thought it was going to be decent, but I was soon to see how wrong I was. The premise of the story (which seemed to be dropped halfway through) could have been good, but there were too many episodes of absolutely nothing. I don't blame the actors so much as most of them are probably inexperienced, but the directing was awful. Too many pauses and staring and scenes that just didn't seem to go anywhere. Only managed to watch the final episode today because someone kindly posted a fansub in this forum. I was using this series as a filler, so not devastated at the outcome. I hope to see the actors in something better in the future.
Please please please make this better than UWMA. I was so bored with it by the end and was only interested in Win/Team. I want to see their chemistry let loose.
I enjoyed this, despite the misleading BL tags on the video. It's not really bromance either, but it is a good series. I'd love to see a Thai remake with full BL.
Chastise me for this but I think their acting is not convincing to the point of being crappy? I'm only on Episode…
Definitely stick with it. I thought the first few episodes were pretty horrible, but I'm glad I kept watching. Made up for some of my other recent BL disappointments.
What a disappointment. Kept seeing comments talking about the ending, but thought it can't be that bad. It was. If not worse. Reasonable series with some nice moments, but if I knew how it was all going to end up I would have skipped it. Oh well.
I've just finished rewatching this after first watching it when it originally came out. I kept seeing all these comments on other series saying things along the lines of 'at least it isn't as bad as My Tee', so had to watch it to refresh my memory.
So after watching it again, I don't really get the negativity towards this series. I'd agree that it isn't perfect, with some inexplicable and confusing parts in the storyline and some production issues, but overall it's pretty decent. The acting is solid, so no real complaints there.
There is a really sweet simplicity to the chemistry between Mork and Tee, and particularly Gord and Morn, so if you can't just enjoy that then there's no pleasing you.
Not everyone has to like everything, but I don't think this is anywhere near as bad as people suggest it is.
Finally got around to watching the last two episodes. It sort of came together in the end, but feels like a lot is missing too. The side couple stories seem like they were dropped, or maybe the effect of COVID meant they had to cut back on some of the filming. Maybe a little disappointing and didn't exactly turn out how I thought, but still one of the better series.
I think this series would have benefited from fewer eps overall and fewer flashbacks (especially seeing as they…
I agree. There were definitely too many episodes and way too many flashbacks. Okay, we get it, they were a sweet couple that was meant to be together forever but enough with all the flashbacks! Don't get me started on the cooking scenes though. I had such high hopes for this series but found myself disappointed in the end.
ya'll... I'm reeeally not feeling this show and I'm only 3 episodes in. It's just. so. slow. I've honestly been…
Taking the opposing view, if you're not invested in it then drop it. I stuck with it and it didn't get any better, only worse. I watched it until the end but found myself skimming through the episodes and finding myself very disappointed.
I just watched 'Red Wine in the Dark Night' the other day and Fluke was really good in it. UWMA actually feels…
Red Wine in the Dark Night is pretty intense and a bit grim in parts but it was still worthwhile watching. Fluke's character is unlike anything I've seen him perform before and shows that he is a really good actor. I suppose my problem with him in UWMA is entirely the character he's playing and not so much his acting. Also, I found UWMA a bit drawn out and repetitive so that didn't help either.
Hopefully as the years go by, fewer and fewer people will have to suffer not being able to express their love for one another.
Thank God It's Over.
